It becomes considerably clearer, with each passing day, just how it is that the election of Donald J. Trump, was, for the Democrats, the worst possible thing that could have ever happened. Hence the rationale, I assume, for the intense hatred of him. Think about it, how much of the very shady activity that went on during the last administration would never have seen the light of day had it been Hitlery who was elected and not Donald Trump? And how many of the destructive decisions made by Barry would we still be forced to deal with if Donald Trump was not our president?
And it was just one of those disastrous decisions that was ‘discussed’ this past Sunday on the Communist Broadcasting System (CBS), during the broadcast of ‘Face the Nation’. It was during his appearance on the program that ex-secretary of state, John Kerry Heinz, said the media has to “stop dealing with questions on Donald Trump’s lies” about the Obama administration’s Iran deal. Now Kerry-Heinz never bothered to say, nor did host Margaret Brennan bother to ask him, what it was that the president is supposedly lying about, merely the accusation that he’s lying seems sufficient.
Anyway, it’s a partial transcript of the idiotic little exchange that follows:
KERRY-HEINZ: Well, what I was really saying, I think, first of all, Margaret, you are an expert at this. You were there. You know that the president’s tweet is a lie. And the president tweeted this morning, because I am coming on the show and he knew you’d ask me the question or he’d push you in a place where you did ask the question. You and the media, I think, need to call a lie a lie. You know–
BRENNAN: Mr. Secretary, I asked you that question in 2015 too.
KERRY-HEINZ: –they didn’t get $150 Billion. No- no- no. But let me just finish. You know- yes. And I’ll- I’ll answer that. I was saying clearly some money from the budget of Iran is going to go to the IRGC. It always has. That’s no surprise. But the truth is and President Trump- I- I- well, he probably doesn’t know this, but the fact is his own defense intelligence agency in 2017 testified to the Congress that very, very little money actually went to the IRGC at all. Most of the money went to the economy of Iran, which is precisely what I said and what we all said. So, the IRGC has never had a problem getting money. But the fact is Donald Trump keeps saying they got $150 Billion. A lie. He keeps saying that all of that money went to pay for it. It did not. His own defense intelligence agency says most of the money went for the economy of the country. So, you know, we have to stop dealing with questions on Donald Trump’s lies and start dealing with the reality of what is going on. The fact is–
BRENNAN: OK.
KERRY-HEINZ: –the vast proportion of that money–
BRENNAN: Yeah.
KERRY-HEINZ: –went to the economy of Iran and they’re always going to be funding the IRGC. There was no question about that.
BRENNAN: Right.
KERRY-HEINZ: And the IRGC budget has not gone up markedly as a result–
BRENNAN: OK.
KERRY-HEINZ: –of what happened with the agreement, period.
So Kerry-Heinz now seems to dispute that it was $150 Billion and that even if it was very little of it likely went to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). But how does Kerry-Heinz define “very little?” Let’s just say, for the sake of argument, it was $150 Billion and just 10% of that amount went to the IRGC. That would put us at $15 Billion. Now suppose Iran was to provide that “very little” sum of money to any of its many surrogates in the region to spread as much death and destruction as possible. For Kerry-Heinz to downplay that such a possibility exists is patently dishonest.
Or, how much military hardware, available on the black market or directly from such providers of illicit arms as Russia, China and France, do you think such a “very little” amount could buy? I would argue enough to do Iran's bidding, whether inside the IRGC or the Iranian Government. Can Kerry-Heinz dictate to us accurately where each and every dollar of that $150 Billion went, and on what it was spent? Of course he can’t! As is usually the case, he hasn’t got a clue. And for him to claim that he can is more than a little disingenuous, it’s downright dishonest! As is typical for this guy!
Of course Kerry-Heinz is going to claim that “the vast proportion” of whatever the amount given to Iran in return for a promise they never kept and never intended to keep went “directly” into Iran's economy. The fact that Iran's economy was suffering because of economic sanctions due to their support of terrorism and their quest for nuclear weapons wasn’t mentioned. Kerry-Heinz and Barry, like their friends in the European Union, were doing everything they could to undermine the sanctions and appease the Iranian mullahs so that Germany, France and others could sell to Iran.
Whether any of this money, whatever the amount was, went to the IRGC or Iran’s national budget is completely irrelevant. Anybody with a brain knows how to make the books look any way they want. Besides that, Kerry-Heinz insists upon taking Iran’s word for where the money went. How freakin’ nuts is that? That this guy was ever able to worm his way into any position of power higher than dogcatcher is what’s truly frightening, because he possesses neither the necessary aptitude nor the intelligence. And just think, this imbecile could very well have been our president!
Kerry-Heinz denies that it was $150 Billion but fails to give what the ‘true’ amount might have been. His deal was an absolute farce. It didn't end the nuclear weapons development it merely kicked the problem down the road. It failed to address the development of long range ballistic missiles, and it couldn't even get the hostages freed. That took even more pallets of cash. And since Trump has been president, Kerry-Heinz has continued to illegally meddle in foreign affairs with adversarial governments. That is a felony punishable by three years in a federal penitentiary.
The fact is that Iran did get the $150 Billion, just as the president said, and no one has any idea what any of that money was used for, not even John Kerry-Heinz. What we do know is that the only thing Iran is interested in is terrorism, and not only there in the Middle East but all over the World. So it would only stand to reason that at least some of that $150 Billion was used for that exact purpose and sadly we’ll never know just how many people may have lost their lives because of it. But hey, that’s likely no big deal to Kerry-Heinz, as that’s simply not looking at the bigger picture.
Let’s face it, John Kerry-Heinz was no different than 90 percent of those who were members of the same administration that he was. And the farther we get away from what was Barry ‘O’s time in office the more it becomes glaringly obvious how his time in office can best be described as being little more than a crime spree than anything else, and it’s been left to hapless clowns like John Kerry-Heinz to defend, and/or justify, all that went on during what was a very dark period for America, fiscally, socially, internationally and militarily. Thankfully we elected Donald Trump.
