REGARDING THE ECONOMY, THE LIES JUST KEEP COMING…

Ya know I really do hate to keep harping on the subject of these continuing to be outrageously bogus unemployment numbers but, Geez Louise, I gotta tell ya, as long as ‘Team Obama’ keeps on spewing what are these blatant exaggerations in what, I guess, is their continuing attempt to portray our piss-poor economy as booming, well then, I’m going to keep pointing out the fact that we’re simply being lied to over and over again.  I mean, ow stupid do they really think we are?  Now granted your basic Democrat is that stupid, being a moron is a prerequisite for joining the party.

And despite Hitlery repeatedly claiming that the economy always does better when we have a a Democrat in the White House, the fact is that we had 94,513,000 Americans who were not in the labor force at the end of October.  Which, I suppose if you’re Hitlery or Barry “Almighty”, can be viewed as being sort of a positive thing since that was a slight improvement from the 94,610,000 not in the labor force in September.  But nonetheless that number has remained at its lowest point in 38 years, or since we were back in the days of Jimmy Carter.

So anyway, it was according to our Bureau of Labor Statistics, part of the Barry “Almighty” propaganda apparatus, that our economy was said to have added 271,000 jobs in October, well above, or so we are told, economists' expectations of 185,000, and the unemployment rate is said to have dropped to 5.0 percent in October from September's 5.1 percent.  But again, in arriving at that this number you have to keep in mind that the millions of Americans who have simply given up even looking for a job are no longer even being counted among the unemployed.

And then in making it quite clear just what sort of drug induced fantasy world it is that ‘Team Obama’ must now currently reside in, it was our Fed Chairmoron, Janet Yellen, who told Congress, just this week, that she sees the U.S. economy "as performing well," although "we have seen some slowdown in the pace of job gains recently."  She indicated then, that if the Nov. 6 jobs report and other economic data supports the Fed's expectation that the economy will continue to grow, then an interest rate hike in December "would be a live possibility."

In September, again according to the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation’s civilian noninstitutional population, consisting of all people 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 251,541,000. Of those, 157,028,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.  The 157,028,000 who participated in the labor force equaled only 62.4 percent of the 251,541,000 civilian noninstitutional population. The last time the labor force participation was as low as 62.4 percent was in October 1977.  Ring a bell?

Another rather bit of purely fictitious information, aka propaganda, that we can glean from today’s complete-waste-time jobs report included a breakdown of what we were supposed to believe are the ‘actual’ unemployment numbers for the various segments of our population.  What this report supposedly showed was that: The unemployment rates for adult men (4.7 percent), adult women (4.5 percent), teenagers (15.9 percent), whites (4.4 percent), blacks (9.2 percent), Asians (3.5 percent), and Hispanics (6.3 percent) showed little or no change in October.

To be honest there is very little truth to any of these numbers, all they are are nothing more than smoke and mirrors.  What has been underway for the last seven years has been the most anemic economic “recovery” ever to take place in the history of this nation.  In fact, I would argue that what we have seen take place, economically speaking, has essentially been by design.  Because what self-respecting economist, excluding Paul Krugman, can look at any of the policies that have been put into place and say that their purpose has been to strengthen the economy?  NONE!

EMPLOYMENT NUMBERS…A MATTER OF PERCEPTION…

At some point, if they haven’t already, wouldn’t you think that most Americans would simply start ignoring that which amounts to be the same kind of toxic propaganda that this administration has been steadily pumping out for years?  What we have here is the equivalent of raw political sewage, and those involved intend to keep on pumping it for as long as a majority of the American people will tolerate it.

What we saw at the end of December was the continuation of the same, rather disturbing, trend that we have seen for some time now where the number of Americans, 16 and older, who chose not to participate in the labor force continues to grow.  In December that number grew to a record 92,898,000, 456,000 more than did not participate in November, making the labor force participation rate a rather anemic 62.7 percent.

The labor force participation had also been 62.7 percent back in September, but prior to that it had not been that low since back in February 1978, or during the time America were subjected to that other Democrat economic genius, Jimmy “The Terrorists’ Best Friend” Carter.  Apparently, it’s only Democrats, and the socialist policies they are so captivated and intrigued by, who are able to bring about such abysmal economic numbers.

In looking back at December, we see that, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the nation’s civilian noninstitutional population stood at 249,027,000.  Now of that 249,027,000, 156,129,000, or 62.7 percent, participated in the labor force by either having a job or by actively seeking one out in the last four weeks.  Of the 156,129,000 who did participate in the labor force, 147,442,000 had a job.

And that left 8,688,000 also of that same 156,129,000, who did not have a job but were said to be actively looking for one, and it’s those 8,688,000 who make up the unemployed. They equaled 5.6 percent of the labor force—or an unemployment rate of 5.6 percent, which was down from the 5.8 percent unemployment rate in November.  So as you can plainly see, this percentage of the supposedly unemployed has very little basis in fact.

Because, while at the same time we’re being told that the level of labor force participation declined, we were also being told that, through the miracle of some pretty creative number crunching, it was also in December that the unemployment rate declined to 5.6 percent and that payroll jobs were said to have increased by 252,000.  I can only assume that those who work to come up with these numbers, must think the rest of us are pretty stupid.

Barry’s ‘Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors’, some boob by the name of Jason Furman, said in a statement, “Today’s solid employment report caps off a strong year for the U.S. labor market, which achieved a number of important milestones in 2014.”  This propaganda statement went on to say, “Total job growth last year was the strongest since 1999, while the unemployment rate fell at the fastest pace in three decades.”

Furman continued on with this special brand of drivel by saying that, “Although nominal wages fell in December, inflation-adjusted wages have generally been rising, and job growth has picked up in sectors that traditionally provide good, middle-class jobs.”  This is all part of creating the ongoing illusion that our economy is somehow be made stronger, that some economic recovery continues, when nothing could be further from the truth.

And then we have John Boehner who, as to be expected since he’s never been one to be left out of a good propaganda story, appeared to be quite eagerly throw his support behind this nonsense, was said to have reacted to the labor news by touting the jobs bills the new Republican Congress have been pushing, including the Keystone pipeline.  His comments, whether he intended to or not, add credibility to numbers that are completely bogus.

Boehner said, “It’s always welcome news when more Americans find work.” And he went on to say, “Yet while the economy is showing some signs of improvement, far too many middle-class families are struggling to bridge the gap between rising costs and stubbornly flat paychecks.”  But again, his comments bear little resemblance to what is going on in this country.  What he should be doing it to point out that these numbers are just a fallacy.

And, oddly enough, it was also courtesy of these same employment numbers, that we were made aware that Barry’s war on women seems to be progressing rather nicely with a record 55,807,000 women, an increase of 612,000 over the previous month, not participating in the labor force in December.  What that means is that 55,807,000 women in the United States did not have a job and did not actively seek one in the past four weeks.

The labor participation rate for women hit a record low for this year of 56.6 percent, which also matches the 56.6 percent seen in September 1988, a 26-year low.  The number of employed women decreased from 69,247,000 in November to 69,042,000 in December, a decline of 205,000.  And yet, as if by magic, we’re told that the unemployment rate for women somehow managed to decline from 5.7 percent in November to 5.3 in December.

Like with so many other issues with this president and this administration, everything is about creating the proper perception.  And the facts must never be allowed to get in the way, regardless of the issue.  Whatever lie must be told, tell it, whatever numbers must be fudged, fudge them.  What’s most important is to create the proper perception in the minds of the American people.  Results are not important, it’s all about perception.

MORE BOGUS JOBS NUMBERS POP UP AHEAD OF THE ELECTION…

I think most of us can safely say that we saw this one coming. Somehow, as if by some strange miracle, the jobless rate in this country has just been made to drop to 5.9 percent. Now keep in mind that such a thing takes place at the very same time that a record 92,584,000 Americans, 16 and older, did not participate in the labor force in September, as the labor force participation rate matched a 36-year low of 62.7 percent.

Now also keep in mind that it has been 6 times in just the last twelve months that the participation rate has been as low as 62.8 percent; but September's 62.7 percent is actually the lowest since February of 1978. And we all remember who was president then, or at least we should. But just in case anyone has forgotten, that would be Jimmy Carter, whose been worse an even worse ex-president than he was a president.

In September, the civilian noninstitutional population in this country stood at 248,446,000. And of that 248,446,000, 155,862,000, or 62.7 percent, actually participated in the labor force, meaning they either had or job or had actively sought one in the last four weeks. Of the 155,862,000 who did participate in the labor force, 146,600,000 had a job and 9,262,000 did not have a job but actively sought one.

And it’s that 9,262,000 who are said to ‘officially’ comprise the unemployed. They equaled 5.9 percent of the labor force, or an unemployment rate of 5.9 percent, which was down slightly from the 6.1 percent unemployment rate in August. So you can pretty plainly see how it is that the numbers can be easily manipulated, and to the point where they have now essentially become pretty meaningless, yet are touted as being accurate.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), in an August 2014 update to its Budget and Economic Outlook, said the "temporary weakness" in the labor force participation rate "is expected to largely disappear by the end of 2017." And apparently in using what can only be their crystal ball, those at CBO projected that increased hiring would bring the unemployment rate to 5.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The CBO makes the claim that greater hiring will encourage some people to reenter the labor force, slowing both the decline in the unemployment rate and the decline in labor force participation rate. The report said, "CBO anticipates that the labor force participation rate ... will decline slightly -- from 62.8 percent in the second quarter of 2014 to 62.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2017."

And another rather interesting little tidbit of information that I think is worth mentioning is the fact that a record 55,553,000 women did not participate in the labor force in September. This means that 55,553,000 women in the United States did not have a job and did not actively seek one in the past four weeks. That means that number of women not in the labor force actually increased by 208,000 from the 55,345,000 in August.

The participation rate for women also dipped in September to 56.7 percent and it hasn’t been this low since back in September of 1988 when it was 56.6 percent. This means that only 56.7 percent of women participated in the labor force by either having a job during the month or actively seeking one. Those are pretty dismal numbers but neither Barry, nor those of his party seem very interested in doing anything about it.

The number of employed women decreased from 68,525,000 in August to 68,499,000 in September, or a decline of 26,000. However, the number of unemployed women also declined from 4,466,000 in August to 4,390,000 in September, which means there were 76,000 less unemployed women in September. And we’re told that the unemployment rate for women declined from 6.1 in August to 6.0 in September.

But does any of this really matter to women voters? And is this issue important enough, and will it persuade women to vote for other than Democrat candidates in the coming election? Well, I guess we’ll find out. Personally, I don’t trust many women to be able to figure out that the fact that if the country is allowed to continue down the path that Barry and the Democrat have placed it, things will not end well, for anybody. Including women!

YUP, WE'RE SURE MOVING "FORWARD" ALL RIGHT!

 

 

Well the government's version of the unemployment numbers for December are in. And what we're being told is that those numbers supposedly showed that while the general unemployment rate remained flat at 7.8 percent, unemployment for women and African-Americans rose despite an economy that supposedly created 155,000 jobs. Unemployment for women rose to 7.3 percent in December and that's up from 7.0 percent while the rate for African-Americans rose sharply to 14.0 percent, up from 13.2 percent in November. I find it more than just a bit ironic, and cheerfully so, that two of Barry's core constituencies, who I'm quite sure bought the many, and various, excuses he provided during the last campaign about why the economy is doing so poorly, are the ones now taking it in the shorts employment-wise.

 

Unemployment among African Americans has remained high throughout the sluggish economic 'recovery' of the past several years, despite the steady decline in overall unemployment in the economy generally. But it didn't prevent blacks from dutifully marching off to the polls this past November, nearly en masse, to vote for their black president. The number of employed African Americans actually fell in December, a month that typically sees a spike in job creation as employers add temporary positions to handle the holiday shopping season. The number of employed African Americans fell from nearly 16 million to 15.8 million in December. By contrast, the unemployment rate for Whites, while being nowhere near accurate, remained nearly a full point below the national average at 6.9 percent in December.

 

But as bad as the unemployment situation is for the country as a whole, the dismal jobs situation here in America is even worse for young adults, which, I think, can be viewed as another core group who, I feel pretty certain, voted for Barry. These same folks are suffering an unemployment rate 30 percent higher than the national average of 7.8 announced today by Washington. And according to something called the Generation Opportunity, a national, and supposedly non-partisan, organization advocating for Millennials ages 18-29, for that specific age group the unemployment rate is at 11.5 percent and a shocking 22.1 percent for younger black Americans. These numbers were announced its Millennial Jobs Report for December 2012. The data is non-seasonally adjusted (NSA) and is specific to 18-29 year olds.

 

So, besides being 22.1 percent (NSA) for 18-29 year old African-Americans for December 2012, the unemployment rate for 18-29 year old Hispanics for December 2012 is 12.2 percent (NSA); and the unemployment rate for 18-29 year old women for December 2012 is 10.4 percent (NSA). And then you throw in the declining labor force participation rate which has created an additional 1.7 million young adults that are not even counted as "unemployed" by the U.S. Department of Labor. They're not counted because they are not in the labor force, meaning that those young people have given up looking for work due to the lack of jobs. If the labor force participation rate were factored into the 18-29 unemployment calculations, the actual Millennial unemployment rate would rise to 16.3 percent (NSA).

 

And again, I feel pretty confident in saying that the majority of those who comprise each of these various little groups, and now currently find themselves unemployed, voted for Barry "Almighty" the last time around. Therefore, if they are truly interested in finding out who it is that's to blame for they're currently being without a job they need look no further than the nearest mirror. It's kinda like that old saying, "What goes around, comes around." The ones who I truly do feel sorry for are the ones like my daughter who didn't vote for that ass, but yet has been made essentially a casualty of his socialist policies that he has been putting into place since day one. Policies which, because of a successful re-election, we will now be forced to contend with for at least the next four years, if not longer.
