STENY ‘THE GASBAG’ HOYER…

Steny Hoyer, Democrat and the major character in our continuing series ‘The Gasbag Chronicles’, made a recent, and apparently, unscheduled appearance at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s annual public policy conference on Tuesday in Washington, D.C.. And it was where that reject from some mental ward declared that the recent surge of Central Americans across the U.S. border with Mexico has absolutely nothing whatsoever to with our lack of border security. Instead, he said, it has everything to with people who want to be in the United States. What is it that they say about insanity?

It was during some panel discussion about the more than 66,000 unaccompanied alien children and 66,000 plus "family units" who have crossed the U.S. border over the past year that old Steny said, "There’s not a border security issue." He added, "We’re a much more secure border." And it was then that everyone’s favorite gasbag went on to say, "We’re having people show up and say ‘We need to be with you. We have family members here. We want to be reunited with our father, our mother, our brothers, our sisters.’" I ask you, in what other country would the making of such an idiotic declaration as this gain one entry into that country?

Anyway, this rather idiotic little discussion was about "the recent humanitarian crisis that saw thousands of unaccompanied minors from Central America converge along the Texas-Mexico border" and focused on "the systematic problems of violence, poverty and human trafficking in Central America, and address long-term solutions via cooperation between the public and private sectors to improve conditions in the region." In his brief appearance, Steny said the U.S. immigration system "is not working" and said what’s needed is a way for people "to come to America seeking opportunity."

Steny said, "We need to have secure borders." And then he even took things a bit farther by saying, "We need to know who is coming into our country." Then he attempted to, I guess, clarify what it was that he was really saying, adding, "But on the other hand, we need to have a system whereby there is a way, as there has historically been, for people to come to America seeking opportunity." But what this imbecile seems to ignore completely is that we already possess such a systems, but that Barry, with the full support of corrupt boobs like Steny, refuses to enforce the many immigration laws that we have already on the books.

The website for Department of State, you know that island of misfit diplomats headed up by John Kerry-Heinz, has detailed information on the steps that need to be taken to become a legal permanent resident of the U.S. The website states, "To be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa, a foreign citizen must be sponsored by a U.S. citizen relative, U.S. lawful permanent resident, or a prospective employer, with a few exceptions." And it then goes on to say, "The sponsor begins the immigration process by filing a petition on the foreign citizen’s behalf with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)."

So not only do our leaders chose not to enforce our current immigration laws, but they seem to be only too happy to coach people on ways to circumvent them. What other country on the planet addresses immigration in such an idiotic manner? There is no limit to the level of nonsensical drivel that we continue to hear from Steny and his many Democrat friends about our ‘broken’ immigration system. But far from being broken, what has really taken place over the course of the last few years has been the complete, and very systematic, dismantling of our immigration system. And now we’re told than amnesty is the only answer? That’s madness!
