OBAMA DESPERATE TO SALVAGE WHAT’S LEFT OF HIS ‘LEGACY’…

Apparently Barry no longer feels that he can just sit idly by and watch as much of his ‘legacy’ is now being made to go up in smoke.  I say that because it was while at the John F. Kennedy Library to accept, of all things, the annual Profile in Courage Award, that Barry implored members of Congress to have what he described as the “courage” not to repeal the Affordable Care Act Sunday night.  It was in making his first public remarks since leaving the White House that Barry choose to talk about the proposed health care legislation just days after House Republicans voted to pass the measure 217 to 213.  And if we can believe any of what we’re being told, if passed by the Senate it would come to effectively ‘repeal and replace’ at least major parts of Obamacare.  That said, it’s far less then what I hoped for.

But anyway, Barry said, “As everyone here now knows, this great debate is not settled, but continues.”  And he went on to say, “It is my fervent hope, and the hope of millions, that regardless of party, such courage is still possible. That today’s members of Congress, regardless of party, are willing to look at the facts and speak the truth, even when it contradicts party positions.”  And he continued, “I hope that current members of Congress recall that it actually doesn’t take a lot of courage to aid those that are already powerful, already comfortable, already influential, but it does require some courage to champion the vulnerable, and the sick, and the infirmed.”  Adding, “Those who often have no access to the corridors of power.”  That said, I honestly don’t remember there being much of a debate back in 2010.

And as something we all became quite accustomed to over the eight long years that we were forced to endure his pompous self, Barry can be rather long winded, especially when talking about himself, or in this case about his ‘legacy’.  And as to be expected Barry laid it on thick as he went on to say, “I hope they understand that courage means not simply doing what’s politically expedient, but doing what, deep in our hearts, we know is right.”  He said, “I have said before that I believe what Dr. King said — that the arc of the moral universe bends, but it bends towards justice. I have also said that it does not bend on its own, but it bends because we bend it, and we put our hand on the arc and we move it in the direction of justice and freedom and equality and kindness and generosity. It does not happen on its own.”

And it was during his speech that Barry lauded those Democrat members of Congress who voted in favor of Obamacare in 2010 and then lost their seats because of it.  And it was of them that he said, “These men and women did the right thing, the hard thing, and theirs was a profile in courage, and because of that vote, 20 million people got health insurance that didn’t have it before.”  But you’ll notice that he mentioned nothing about the sleazy tactics that Democrats used in their effort to get this legislation to his desk.  Nor was there any mention made of the millions who were not able to keep their doctor, even though they liked their doctor, or those who could not keep their insurance, even if they liked their insurance, unless, of course, they were somehow able to afford the massive increases in both premiums and deductibles.

It has become pretty common knowledge, at least among those of us outside of the Democrat Party, that Obamacare has been proven to be nothing more than an abject failure.  I mean, where is all the evidence to support the claims that it is working effectively for anybody not already on the government dole?  And to make the claim that those who voted for Obamacare, and were then subsequently voted out of office, "did the right thing, the hard thing, and theirs was a profile in courage", is to be plainly ignorant and patently dishonest.  These people didn’t even know what was in the bill, how can that ever be spun to say they did the right thing for the right reasons?  They sold their vote to defraud the American people out of the market for private health insurance, that's what Obamacare has always been about.

And as the nation’s first black president, and coming into office holding a fair amount of promise, Barry essentially ended up being little more than a political thug of rather epic proportions, and was able to set race relations back 100 years almost single handedly.  And while I never voted for him, it was after he won in 2008 that I had genuinely hoped that he would take it upon himself to put country above his leftist politics.  But call me naïve, I really should have known better.  After all he did say that he would be working to “fundamentally transform” America.  And sadly, it was in pretty short order, assisted by his majorities in the Senate and House, that he set about doing just that!  In 2012 my expectations were much lower as what took place during his first four years made it obvious what his second four years would bring.

After all, it’s the simple truth is that Democrats need massive government dependency in order to thrive and that they are also the party of slavery, of lynching, of discrimination, of segregation and of the Ku Klux Klan.  And the sad fact is that they still are the party of slavery and oppression, and just because the chains are no longer visible it doesn't mean that they don’t still exist.  And oddly, the effective head of the Democrat plantation remains, a black man.  And while our state-controlled media will continue to get down on their knees and carry his water, he's become irrelevant in the minds of a majority of Americans.  But I must give the Democrats credit for going down with their ship, but it’s now been left to the rest of us try to salvage whatever it is that’s left and to rebuild up from that.

And I find it sad that, and practically since Election Day, Barry has been busily scheming to do all that he can in what has clearly been an effort to sabotage Trump’s presidency.  It seems that Barry has now assembled himself an army of agitators, said to number more than 30,000, who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency.  And Barry will command them from his not-so-hidden bunker less than two miles from the White House.  Since Donald Trump’s election, Barry’s group, ‘Organizing for Action’, has beefed up staff and ramped up recruitment of young liberal activists, declaring on its website, “We’re not backing down.”  Determined to salvage Barry’s legacy, and his legislative priorities, it’s drawing battle lines on immigration, ObamaCare, race relations and climate change.

This latest speech was really nothing but more of the same political drivel that we heard nonstop from this guy for eight long years.  Just a bunch of soaring rhetoric and very little else.  And I noticed he's still clinging to the 20 million number as having Obamacare.  And apparently his is unaware, so doesn’t care, that few can afford the rising rates and the fact that insurance companies have abandoned state after state.  There has always been a huge disconnect between our ex-president and all us ordinary folks.  The only area in which anyone can claim that Obamacare has been a success, is in the area of killing jobs.  Small businesses are what drive our economy, and it’s because of regulations created by Obamacare that they cannot afford to hire more people.  It’s 60 percent of small businesses that now want it repealed.

Barry’s policies could not have been more soundly rejected than they have been and by a broad range of people all across the country.  The Democrat Party has been pummeled in every election since 2010 and at every level of government.  And that’s why Trump won and Hitlery went down to defeat.  Barry put his reputation on the line in campaigning for Hitlery and warned the people what would happen if she lost.  People didn’t listen to him then and they’re not listening now.  He preaches only to his choir, the state-controlled media, leftist elitists from Hollywood and New York, supporters of illegal immigration, people with their hand out for more and more ‘free’ stuff, unions, anti-religion secularists, the list goes on and on.  I think we all knew that he wouldn't be going away quietly, people like him never really do.
