So explain to me, please, why I’m supposed to care that a bunch of overpaid, primarily ‘black,’ thugs whose only skill in life is the dribbling of a basketball have now apparently decided to ‘boycott’ their own chosen profession in an effort to make some sort of a statement? Because, I’m still a bit confused when it comes to exactly what it is that these mental midgets are really trying to accomplish.
So apparently all three NBA playoff games scheduled for earlier this week were postponed, with players around the league choosing to boycott in what was described by some as being their ‘strongest statement yet’ against some supposed racial injustice. The NBA said all three games would be rescheduled, yet did not say when. Personally, I couldn’t care less if they’re ever rescheduled.
So this ‘dramatic’ series of events began when the Bucks, the NBA’s team from Wisconsin, a state where chaos has been pretty much allowed to continue by local politicians and supposed blamed on the shooting by police officers of Jacob Blake, a Black man, didn’t take the floor for their playoff game against the Magic. The teams were set to begin Game 5 of their series shortly after 4 pm on Wednesday.
And it was some senior vice president of the Bucks, Alex Lasry, who tweeted, “Some things are bigger than basketball. The stand taken today by the players and (the organization) shows that we’re fed up. Enough is enough. Change needs to happen. I’m incredibly proud of our guys and we stand 100% behind our players ready to assist and bring about real change.” Oh boohoo, cry me a freaking river.
There are three other playoff games scheduled Thursday. It was unclear if they would be affected. Several NBA players, including ‘LeBrain’ James, tweeted out messages demanding change. Magic players and referees were on the basketball court for the game but Milwaukee never took the floor. Eventually everyone else left and the arena staff soon took the balls, towels and tags that go on player chairs back inside.
Demanding societal change and ending racial injustice has become a major part of the NBA’s new ‘wokeness.’ To the point where the phrase “Black Lives Matter” has been painted on the arena courts, players are wearing messages urging change on their jerseys and coaches are donning pins demanding racial justice. These morons can wear whatever it is that they want, they’re nothing but a bunch of frauds.
And here’s another idea. If these NBA thugs were truly sincere about what they claim is the motivation behind all of this lunacy they would refuse to play at all until BLM is put in charge of the entire country. Now THAT would be a strong statement that genius victims of systemic racism like them should be making! Anything less than that is nothing more than a meaningless and rather pointless gesture.
Now speaking for myself, all of the destruction, the burning and looting over a couple of black criminals who, because of their own actions, died at the hands of the police, is not having the desired effect. And the fact that these overpaid ‘athletes’ are now choosing not to play the kid’s game for which they are paid incredible amounts of money will change nothing in that regard. Play or don’t play, I really don’t care!
I mean, talk about delusional. What is it that makes these morons think that by ‘boycotting’ their own sport they will somehow come to have an effect on that which they claim to wish to have an impact on. That’s beyond ludicrous. All what’s going to happen here is that people will simply find something else on which to spend the time that they once spent watching basketball, and likely be lost as viewers forever.
