You know, there was once upon a time when it was a great many of us laughingly referred to the followers of liberalism/progressivism as being afflicted with some sort of mental disorder. Who knew that we would eventually come to be proven right? We continue to hear from more and more of those who insist upon continuing to use all manner of baseless accusations of racism as being their rationale for defunding all of law enforcement. And when you look closely at who it is that’s taking part in such activities it becomes very obvious, very quickly, that they are very clearly suffering from some form of mental deficiency or experiencing some sort of mental breakdown.
Take for instance a guy, currently employed by the Harvard
Divinity School of Philosophy, Cornel West, who declared this past Wednesday on
CNN’s “Tonight,” hosted by Don ‘LaMoan’ that American police “have been out of
control since the slave patrol.” West seems to be yet another example of what
passes, these says, for a ‘professor’ in so very many of our supposed
institutions of ‘higher’ learning. And I can’t help but wonder if, were in it
not for affirmative action, if this guy would, today, be doing anything other
than hanging out on some street corner waiting to take part in the next riot/shopping
spree resulting from yet another perceived injustice.
During a ‘discussion’ on George Floyd and Daunte
Wright, West said, “So the question is what does a general your genuine love
for Black people, a genuine care for black people look like in this situation.
And there’s a number of different responses to that, but all of us have to come
to terms, and we’re not just talking about Black folks, just as a human being
who has a deep care and concern about a people who have been dealing with
police, who have been out of control since the slave patrol. So we’re talking
about hundreds of years. There’s thousands of black people who have been shot
down by the police, male and female, children and grandchildren.”
He went on to say, “How many times have I complied
and still got dragged off. I’m a Black man in a three-piece suit. I still get
treated bad, not as bad as my brothers and sisters in the hood, but any Black
person can be terrorized and traumatized with police out of control. So this
notion that somehow if you comply, I tell them to get off the crack pipe and
try to get some sympathy and sensitivity to their fellow human beings who are
of color who are Black. It is not just Black. It’s brown and indigenous people,
but it’s especially Black, white supremacy targets Black folk in that way, and
we’ve got to come up with ways of protecting each other and defending each other.”
And he continued, “We can’t allow this to go on and
on and on. Some kind of accountability has to be in place.” And it was at this
point that ‘LaMoan’ said, “This distrust of police it didn’t just come out of
nowhere. There is a reason for it. There is a reason for it.” To which West
responded by saying, “Absolutely. And the police who claim to be good but still
silent when their partners are engaging in this kind of vicious arbitrary use
of power against Black folk, they are complicit, too. And it spills over to the
politicians who give us a little lip service but don’t want to really send
police to jail. Police need to go to jail after a trial.” Spoken like a true
NUT!
Why are Police (regardless of their skin color) so
unwilling to risk their lives when making an arrest? Permit me to make a few
observations that have clearly escaped this ‘professor,’ Mr. West. The two
deceased upon which he bases his claims of “racism” are, or rather were, felons
with a record as long, if not longer, than his arm. Black felons are routinely
armed and tend to be not the least bit hesitant when it comes to using violence
as a first resort. When arrested, the “race card” is played within moments of
the arrest with far too many members of the ‘black community” willing to form
mobs in an attempt to intimidate those police officers involved.
Also, they can rely on what has become a very complicit
‘fake news’ media, as well as corrupt politicians, to take their side
regardless of any evidence which does not fit their limited mindset. Then the protest
by way of ‘violence,’ destroying and looting anything in their locality
(although Work Boots and Fathers Day cards are notable exceptions) and then
complain when no store or shopkeeper is willing to open anywhere near the ‘hood.’
Their current behavior is very clearly ‘insurrection’ but don’t expect the
Democrats to get too worked up over it. And, most certainly, one shouldn’t hold
one’s breath waiting to them to do anything constructive.
Anyone who tries to flee an arrest have made a
conscious decision to do so and by so doing become the ones most responsible
for putting their own lives at risk. This latest individual to get himself shot
was nothing other than a victim of his own stupidity as he was shot attempting
to flee an arrest for an outstanding warrant. Look, when the police decide you’re
in need of being arrested, you’re gonna be arrested. You’re going downtown
whether alive or dead. The rule of thumb should be to cooperate and do what
you’re told. If you cooperate your chances of getting shot are about equal to
being struck by lightning while being bitten by a shark. Statistics being what
they are.
And why is it viewed as acceptable for these people
to resist the police? Every one of the recent racial shootings was because the
black person CHOSE to resist, and not to comply with the police. Why is this
acceptable to blacks? Why does this group of people believe THEY do not have to
comply with law enforcement? And if you’re so worried about being “shot by
police”, why would you give them a reason to shoot you? How do the police know that
YOU are not going to shoot them when you resist arrest, jump back into your
car, all while knowing there is a warrant out for your arrest? What are they
supposed to do? YOU have chosen this path, not the police.
How about one being responsible for one’s own
actions? These shootings are 100 percent the fault of those people who decide NOT
to comply with the police. Forget about opinions, forget about media headlines,
and forget about all those screaming leftists. All you really need to know is
the following: It’s black males who comprise 8% of the population. And yet it’s
black males who commit: 34.5 percent of all reported rapes and sexual assaults,
50 percent of all murders, 51 percent of all armed robberies and 53 percent of
all aggravated assaults. This is relatively consistent, year in, year out, per
the FBI Uniform Crime Reports. And yet it’s the fault of the police?
