JOE MANCHIN, A ‘MODERATE’ DEMOCRAT, WHO REALLY ISN’T!!!

“Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away,” there were those politicians that could justifiably refer to themselves as being ‘Moderate Democrats.” They were Democrats of whom, while they were socially liberal, it could be said, loved their country. And they had names like Henry ‘Scoop’ Jackson and Sam Nunn, to name just a couple. I have a feeling that today men like Jackson and Nunn would have a rather difficult time getting themselves elected in the Democrat Party of 2023. They, and those like them, who referred to as ‘moderates’ long ago went extinct, but that has not prevented Democrat politicians from trying to reclaim the moniker of ‘moderate."

To be a member of today’s Democrat Party a politicians must demonstrate their commitment to the cause, and ‘moderates’ need not apply. And the ‘cause,’ of course, is the bringing about the end of the United States as we know it. And so while there are those who persist in calling themselves ‘moderates’ they most definitely are not. They all vote as they are told to vote, and while they may voice concern and/or opposition to certain legislation, it’s in the end that they always bow to the pressure from their leadership, choosing to abandon the American people, and vote for such legislation later trying to explain that in the long run it will be good for the country.

One of those Democrats who routinely refers to himself as being a ‘moderate, is Joe Manchin, U.S. Senator from West Virginia. And it was this past Sunday during an appearance on FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” that Manchin was asked if he still identifies as a Democrat, and he gave a rather vague reponse. Manchin said, “My main concern is how do we bring this country together? How do we make it work? How do we make Democrats, Republicans become Americans again and not just party affiliates? This is what’s happening right now. We’re pushing people further apart, making people take a side and rewarding for bad behavior."

Anchor Maria Bartiromo said, “Real quick, I’ve got to ask you about your own public service. You’ve been in public service for 40 years. You told a radio interview this week that you will not be running for president. What are your plans? Will you run for re-election?” Manchin responded by saying, “Well, the bottom line is that was in talking back and forth to a dear friend of mine who said this minute, this time, and I said listen, my main concern to all of you and your viewers, how do we bring this country together. How do we make it work? How do we make Democrats and Republicans become Americans again and not just party affiliates."

Bartiromo said, “Do you still identify as a Democrat?” Manchin said, “I identify as an American. I’m an American through and through.” Let’s be honest here, Manchin will identify as whatever it is that gives the best chance of getting re-elected. Bartiromo then asked, “Will you run for governor?” Manchin said, “I’m going to do whatever I can to help my country come together, and my state come together.” Manchin has demonstrated on more than a few occasions that he doesn’t really give a rat’s ass about working class Americans. We’re seen as being nothing other than a source of revenue to be tapped when needed to advance the leftist Democrat agenda.

Frankly, this country will never come together because Democrats have been working feverishly to divide us ever since ‘BO”s declared that it had now become necessary to “fundamentally transform the Unites States of America.” And in the process those who disagree have been called names, some have been arrested with threats being made against others, for simply trying to stand up to the destruction the Democrats have caused, and continue to cause, to this great country. We know that the Democrats lie just to push their agenda. They will never stop, and there is no way of communicating with them unless you go along with whatever it is that they say.

And why might it be that Manchin seems to be so hesitant about declaring himself to be a proud Democrat? Might it be because it’s his party than seeks to destroy our ‘Freedom of Speech,’ Freed of Religion as we all the right of the American people to ‘Keep and bear arms?’ And it is, primarily, his party that is flooding our country will millions of illegal immigrants and providing to them preferential treatment over the American people and replacing American workers with this cheap labor. And let’s not forget that he is also a member of the very same party that intent upon destroying this country’s energy sector. So, is that the kind of American Mr. Manchin is?

Manchin hales from a red state and as such must walk a tightrope where he says whatever he must to placate the folks back home, and votes as he is told to comfortable in the knowledge that when re-election time comes around the folks back home will have long forgotten his treachery. In the end, Manchin will vote with his party just like he did on the $1.7 trillion bogus “Build Back Better” after essentially being bribed to do so. A bill which was supposed to be for infrastructure. He was promised some pork by Schumer who only reneged on the deal, so again Manchin got nothing for stabbing the folks back home in the back. What a guy.

Someone really does need to explain to Manchin that he can be either an American or a Democrat, he cannot be both. There are Americans, and there are Democrats. The two very rarely overlap, nor are they even allowed to. The commitment must be to the party, the country must always, ALWAYS, come second. Let’s just be perfectly truthful and clear, this country will NEVER be unified through, or because of, Washington, DC. The cesspool of corruption, back-room deals, and self-interests that is our nation’s capital is incapable of setting the example of working together. While some may go there with good intentions, they are nearly always corrupted.

And I would wager that out of the 535 members of Congress it’s less than 10 percent of them are true supporters of America. The vast majority are corporate and political prostitutes who long ago sold out the country for money and the allusion of power. Manchin is a fence straddler, a guy who votes like a Democrat, caucuses like a Democrat, and masquerades as a ‘moderate’ so the folks back home will keep him in office. In other words, he’s nothing more than your typical leftist liar. Party and Power comes first. Everything else, voting fraud, from fiscal irresponsibility, to immigration policy, to foreign policy, are all just the means to their tyrannical end.

I suppose it’s too much to hope for that the people of West Virginia can finally rid themselves of their blind loyalty to tradition and nostalgia. The kind that duped them into continually reelecting Klansman Robert Byrd. Manchin is next in line. They need to retire him and actually elect someone who represents them and their belief system. Manchin is only doing this because he’s facing re-election in a state that voted overwhelmingly for President Trump. But don’t let him fool you, Manchin may sound a little less crazy than most in his party, but he is still very much one of them. All I need to know about this guy is how he caved when it really counted.

I COULDN’T CARE LESS IF JOE MANCHIN REMAINS IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY OR NOT…

Personally, I’m one of those folks who don’t trust Joe Manchin any further than I could throw him, and so I couldn’t care less when it comes to all the rumors about how he’s supposedly considering a departure from the Democrat Party. If that’s what he wants to do, so be it, it’s still a free country. Now if he were to, for some bizarre reason, chose to join the Republican Party, now that I would have a problem with, for no other reason we have enough Democrats, aka RINOs, in the Republican Party.

And it was just this past Wednesday, during an appearance on CNN’s “The Lead,” hosted by Jake Tapper, that Manchin touted his independence, differentiating himself from the Democrat Party. However, Manchin indicated that, for now, he is in no hurry to follow his colleague Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s lead and leave the Democrat caucus. Manchin said, “Jake, I don’t think there’s anyone more independent than me,” he said. “And that we have been voting in my entire life, over 40 years."

And he went on to say, “I’m not a Washington Democrat. I have a lot of good friends who are Washington Republicans. This party tribal mentality is killing our country. People are sick and tired of it. I respect Kyrsten’s decision. She made her decision, and she’s very articulate in the way she pointed out of why she did what she did.” He added, “And I think that basically, I will make my decision whenever I make the decision, or if I do make a decision, I will do it, and I’m not in any hurry to do that."

Manchin continued, “So, you know, the bottom line is I’m not changing how I vote. I’m not changing how I approach a problem. If my Republican colleagues have a good idea, I’m for it. I can go home and explain it.” He said, “If the Democrats have a good idea, I can support that also.” And he went on to add, “And I’m not afraid to say, I can’t support something that makes no sense at all to the Democrats or Republicans. So, people have gotten so. It’s what team are you on. I’m on one team."

Manchin said, “I’m on the American team. I would like to think we are all on the same side. We just have different branches. That’s all. But the same side as the American side.” I hate to be the one to tell old Joe, but if one is on the side of the Democrat Party there is simply no way in Hell that one is on the American side. It’s just not possible in any way shape, manner or form. If you are a Democrat then you are very clearly an enemy of America, to think otherwise is to be nothing less than delusional!

In other words, what old Joe is saying is: “It depends on the polls. If I can think I can win as a Democrat, well then, I’ll stay a Democrat. But, if I think I’m going to lose, then I’ll either become an Independent or even a Republican, which also depends on what kind of a deal I might be able to get from Mitch.” Manchin has shown that he is a Democrat through and through. He has demonstrated repeatedly that he is not about freedom, liberty, the Constitution, or a fiscally responsible government.

This likely nothing more than a political stunt to stay elected. It’s not going to help the Republican Party or America. Manchin needs to be replaced with a true ‘America First’ candidate in 2024. He’s running scared and simply trying to save his job. He faltered when it mattered most, sold out the people of his state and this country, and should be fired for his cowardice. I don’t care how many spin doctors he’s got, no one can justify what he did in voting for legislation that increased our debt and inflation.

Now I will admit that there was once a time when I thought differently about this guy than I do today. I thought he was a serious man who cared about the country. I was wrong. Like SO MANY other professional politicians, Joe can be bought. Manchin is nothing more than a chameleon. In a state where President Trump won by 40 percent and Manchin’s counterpart won by 43 percent, the only chance he has be being able to win in 2024 is to switch to Republican. He barely won in 2018 by 3 percent.

In plain English what Joe is saying is: “I will make my decision when I make my decision and then I will change my decision when I make that decision, and if need be I will decide to make a new decision if that decision needs to be made. So for now, the matter is undecided.” This is Manchin being Manchin. He instills these nuggets of hope in his conservative supporters, then he caves to the radical Left. He’s far more interested in being a talking point than becoming a conduit for saving the country!

Manchin has gotten a lot of what he wants out of the Democrat Party by being that last vote they need. Now, with Sinema out, he’s in the same position again. There’s no reason for him to give that up. If Manchin truly wanted to do good for his coal-rich state of West Virginia then he would switch to Republican. But whether Manchin decides to join the Republican Party or chooses to identify as an ‘Independent’ it is of little import to the overall disgrace that Congress itself has now become.

Manchin is nothing more than a hypocrite who’s simply trying to straddle both sides of the fence. The problem he faces is his voting base that is more on the conservative side while his true convictions are far more on the ‘progressive side. West Virginia would be wise to dump him and to choose a Senator who has their best interests at heart. Manchin lost what credibility he might have still had when he voted for the bogus Inflation Reduction Act. It’s time for him to be put out pasture.

ONCE AGAIN JOE MANCHIN DRIVES A STAKE THROUGH THE NOTION THAT THE ‘MODERATE’ DEMOCRAT STILL EXISTS…

Look, we all knew it was only a matter of time before Joe Manchin would again come to make it very clear that he is far from being the ‘moderate’ Democrat that so many seem to insist that he is. In fact, he is just as radical and just as anti-America as is every other member of the Democrat Party. And so, it should come as no surprise that Manchin has joined his Democrat colleagues in foisting upon us that which is nothing more than a fiscal boondoggle. We all knew he had a price, just as we knew Schumer would eventually meet it. And once he did, Manchin was quick to put what was best for his party over and above what was best for the country and the American people.

And, of course, in so doing Manchin offered us what was little more than a bullshit excuse for his blatant treachery, claiming that it was somehow the “responsible path forward.” And deemed to be so by whom, exactly? Schumer? And so, despite the fact that this piece of legislation has yet to be written, Manchin blew a rather copious amount of smoke in trying to justify how it was that he had chosen to support the radical agenda of Schumer instead of choosing to stand with the American people! And so it was that Manchin announced on Wednesday that he would be supporting a reconciliation package targeting prescription drug prices and the energy sector.

As I mentioned, the legislation, which has been dubbed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, has not yet been written. However, Manchin said in a statement that the package will fight inflation by promoting an all-of-the-above energy policy and lower prescription drug prices. Inflation increased 9.1 percent over the twelve-month period ending June 30, the highest year-over-year increase since December 1981. It was in a statement released by his office that Manchin said, “I support the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 because it provides a responsible path forward that is laser focused on solving our nation’s major economic, energy and climate problems."

And the statement went on to say, “The question for my colleagues is whether they are willing to put their election politics aside and embrace the commonsense approach that the overwhelming majority of the American people support and will best serve the future of this nation.” And he went on to say, “In addition to fighting inflation, we must stop pretending that there is only one way to combat global climate change or achieve American energy independence. This legislation ensures that the market will take the lead, rather than aspirational political agendas or unrealistic goals, in the energy transition that has been ongoing in our country."

And he said, “The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 invests in the technologies needed for all fuel types – from hydrogen, nuclear, renewables, fossil fuels and energy storage – to be produced and used in the cleanest way possible. It is truly all of the above, which means this bill does not arbitrarily shut off our abundant fossil fuels.” You may recall how it was that Manchin repeatedly objected to the Build Back Better reconciliation framework throughout 2021, arguing that the package’s proponents were hiding the true cost of the legislation through “budget gimmicks” and “shell games.” So what is it that might have changed? Nothing! Manchin is a liar!

Manchin said in his statement, “Build Back Better is dead, and instead we have the opportunity to make our country stronger by bringing Americans together.” A bigger bunch of political bullshit you will never hear. He should be ashamed of himself, but I’m quite sure he is not. People like Manchin have no shame. People like Manchin go into politics because they’re incapable of doing anything else. Manchin has spent the better part of his adult life being little more than a professional parasite, relying on the voters for his livelihood. And as such has learned over time that one must say whatever what one must to get elected, and then do whatever you damn well please.

Manchin has been a U.S. Senator since 2010, succeeding Robert ‘KKK’ Byrd after Byrd died. Manchin, who was governor at the time, appointed an interim appointee to fill out a very short portion of the term until, in November of 2010, he declared he would run for the Senate and succeeded in winning that election. Earlier, Manchin had been the 34th Governor of West Virginia from 2005 to 2010, and he was the 27th Secretary of State of West Virginia, from 2001 to 2005. In other words, Manchin literally couldn’t earn himself a bigger pension basis if he tried, BOTH State and Federal! You think he gives a rat’s ass at the age of 74? He just waited long enough to sell out.

Far from being any sort of a moderate, which many still seem determined to call him, Manchin is just another sleazy corrupt Democrat politician who finally got the right amount of money to throw the country under the bus. I guess the going rate is at least enough dollars for generational wealth. It can no longer be said that America’s leaders serve the people, and therefore they must be removed and replaced with better people. What does Manchin bring to the table? Absolutely nothing! He’s just as wicked and corrupt as the rest of the Democrats. This guy has always sold out, he makes believe that he has some sort of values then votes the opposite way.

I feel confident in saying that no threats were likely necessary in persuading him join with Schumer. After all, Manchin is a Democrat through and through, and like all Democrats he has the same agenda on things like ‘climate change,’ taxes, Obamacare and the size and function of the government. The Democrats, which includes Manchin, now have the U.S. on a collision course with oblivion! Every time they come up with some hair brain idea it usually spells trouble for the country and her people. It has been two years now since we turned our country over to a mad man for *president and a Congress comprised of a group of radicals! It seems we never learn our lesson.

I cannot think of anything the Democrats have ever done, or any legislation they have ever produced, that has benefitted the average American citizen. Everything they do is designed to increase the Democrat Party’s grip on power. Inflation reduction? Lower health care costs? Lower drug costs? They’ve been promising such things for over two decades, and we’re still waiting for the reductions. They take a pig in a poke sack, give it a pretty name with some lipstick, and shove it down our throats. The sad part is that over a third of the country actually believes them. We’re going to need a very long ladder to climb out of the hole they have now put this country in.

And so, it’s once again into the breech.  Price fixing has never worked, and it never will work, yet it is always a popular political ‘fix.’  Just exactly like communism and its lightweight clone, socialism. Democrats know their base is ignorant and so they continue to play to it. It’s worked very well for them. It gets them elected and reelected so what else do you expect them to do? Manchin willingly bent over and I’m sure he’ll be properly compensated for whatever pain it might cause him at home. This yet to be written legislation is merely a ruse. It will do none of the things that have been promised, all it will do is make life for average Americans more difficult.

NOPE, WE CAN’T TRUST JOE MANCHIN TO DO THE RIGHT THING!!!

I’m thinking that the good senator from West Virginia just might be suffering from a pretty wicked case of political whiplash after having completed a pretty significant 180-degree turnabout over the course of about 48 hours regarding whether or not whomever it is that ‘Creepy Joe’ nominates to the Supreme Court might be worthy of being rubberstamped. Because while on Wednesday Manchin declared that there should be no rummer stamp for any nominee put forward by ‘Creepy Joe,’ it was the very next day that he seemed to be saying something very much different. While begs the question, was he simply lying on Wednesday, or did someone perhaps get to him?

Either way, Manchin again makes it very clear that he most certainly is not the ‘moderate’ that so many in our ‘fake news’ media like to paint him as being. He’s simply confirmed what many of us have always known, that he is nothing more than your average garden variety liar. And he’s again made it clear just whose side it is that he’s on, and it ain’t the side of the good folks of West Virginia who overwhelmingly supported President Trump. He’s clearly on the side of Chuckie Schumer and the Democrat Party. Because, as I said, it was on Thursday that he sounded very much like a guy about to take part in the act of being a ‘rubberstamp.'

It was during an interview with West Virginia MetroNews’ “Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval” on Thursday, that Manchin said he wouldn’t be bothered if *president ‘Creepy Joe’s nominee to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was more liberal, or much more liberal than he is as long as they are “sound in their thought process, has been sound in their disbursement of justice and the rule of law,” and have the right disposition to be on the Supreme Court. But it’s to my way of thinking that one cannot be a liberal and at the same time be “sound in their thought process”. Democrats are, by definition, psychologically impaired.

Liberals, regardless of the color of their skin, or their gender, are definitely NOT sound in their thought process, sound in their disbursement of justice and the rule of law. Look no further than Sonya Sotomayor when she recently made the blatantly idiotic and patently untrue claim that, “There are 100,000 children in the hospital right now with COVID and most on respirators!” What a complete MORON!! And where in the HELL did she come up with that number? There’s actually roughly 4,000 children in the hospital with COVID (not 100,000) and the number on respirators is UNKNOWN because that statistic is one that no one bothers to keep.

Anyway, it was Manchin who said, “Well, first of all, it’s not going to change the makeup of the court. The court right now is pretty much a 6-3 court. So, no matter what the philosophical beliefs of this person may be, that’s not going to change the decisions or the makeup of it. What you want is someone, forget the philosophical beliefs they may have, it’s basically how they have dispersed justice, their record, have they been outspoken, have they been fair, things of that sort, and do they have the disposition? The main thing about a Supreme Court justice being the highest court in the land, are they able to get along with the other eight justices?"

And he said, “Sit down, even though you might disagree, do you do it in a professional, civil way, coming to a conclusion? This is what we look for in all of our justices, but especially the Supreme Court, do they have the disposition to be able to work with their fellow justices to make good judgment and be able to disperse and use the rule of law as your guide. And that’s what I’m looking for.” And it was host Hoppy Kercheval that then asked, “So, Senator, it would not bother you, it would not be a — it would not bother you if the nominee was more liberal or far more liberal than you?” Manchin responded, “Well, it’s not too hard to get more liberal than me."

Before then going on to say, “So, it would not bother me having a person who was sound in their thought process, has been sound in their disbursement of justice and the rule of law, just because of their personal beliefs.” Manchin’s constituents are 90 percent white! I wonder, does it bother him that no white person is being considered and that these stone-cold racists in the White House are using skin color and genitalia as the sole criteria for who gets interviewed?? Manchin will vote for whomever ‘Creepy Joe’ nominee who will likely be confirmed in record time. There’s really nothing much that the Republicans can, or will, do to bog down the process.

As I mentioned, it certainly didn’t take very long for Manchin to turn back into your typical liberal. I can’t help but wonder if the folks back home are paying attention. Likely not, as he seems to do just enough to keep those same folks convinced that he’s worthy of getting re-elected. That’s what career politicians always do. And there are usually just enough RINOs voting with the Democrats to allow certain players in the Democrat Party to, at least, appear tough on the important issues. RINOs are far more disgusting than the Democrats because they are backstabbing traitors to their party. Manchin is one happy to take advantage of the cover provided by the RINOs.

Anyone to the left of him has never really bothered Manchin. And while he pretends to be a ‘moderate,’ playing up to his base back in West Virginia, he always ends up voting exactly how Chuckie Schumer tells him to, with very few exceptions. He’s another of those who expose the myth that there remains in American politics today that ever elusive creature, the ‘moderate’ Democrat. How many times must it be said that this guy is not now, nor has he ever been, a ‘moderate.’ Manchin is a Democrat and votes like a Democrat 99 percent of the time because that’s what Democrats do. So can we finally stop with the I wish he’d switch to being a Republican crap?

It’s when selecting any individual to sit on the bench that the only thing that should matter is that person’s ability to interpret the Constitution as it is written, not how they might wish that it had been written. Our justices regardless of the court they are selected to sit upon are not supposed to be biased. It’s all about the Constitution. If the person nominated has a clear bias in their past decisions, then they are not fit to sit on the bench and shouldn’t even be considered, let alone confirmed. But such is not the criteria looked for by the Democrats. They search out those individuals who possess a willingness to read things into the Constitution that simply are not there.

CAN WE REALLY TRUST JOE MANCHIN TO DO THE RIGHT THING???

Never in my nearly 70 years of life have I ever, in any of my travels, come across a Democrat that I felt I could trust any further than I could throw him, or her. And as I have said many times before it’s that species once referred to as the ‘moderate’ Democrat that long ago went extinct. And while we continue to have those who try to convince us otherwise, it is in the end that they always show themselves to be just as radical as are the rest of those in their party. So excuse me if I’m no rush to applaud Joe Manchin who recently declared that there would be no rubberstamp for any Supreme Court nominee put forward by ‘Creepy Joe’ Biden. I just don’t trust him.

You see, it was Manchin who, just this past Wednesday, said he would take part in acting as a rubber-stamp for *president ‘Creepy Joe’ Biden’s Supreme Court pick to replace Leftist Justice Stephen Breyer. Manchin claimed, “I take my Constitutional responsibility to advise and consent on a nominee to the Supreme Court very seriously.” And he went on to say, “I look forward to meeting with and evaluating the qualifications of President Biden’s nominee to fill this Supreme Court vacancy.” Manchin’s statement followed White House press secretary Jen ‘Circle Back’ Psaki’s confirmation that ‘Creepy Joe’ fully intends to nominate a black woman to the court.

In 2020, ‘Creepy Joe’ himself foreshadowed he would do so saying then, “I’m looking forward to making sure there’s a black woman on the Supreme Court, to make sure we, in fact, get every representation.” The appointment of a black woman has only one real purpose, that being, of course, to make it troublesome for the spineless Senate RINOs to block ‘Creepy Joe’s nominee in an election year. Democrats currently hold a 50/50 split tie-breaking vote in the Democrat ‘controlled’ Senate. And so whomever ‘Creepy Joe’ nominates, she will need to appease all 50 Democrat Senators, including the so-called ‘moderate’ Democrats, Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

Both Manchin and Sinema have proven a willingness to oppose ‘Creepy Joe’s radical “Build Back Better” agenda. It was Manchin’s home state of West Virginia that voted for President Trump in 2020 by nearly 40 points. Chuckie Schumer, also on Wednesday, announced that he would confirm ‘Creepy Joe’s nominee promptly, but deliberately. The Senate’s Judiciary Committee, chaired by ‘Little Dick’ Durbin, will conduct Senate hearings in the coming weeks. And I’m also quite sure that what further motives the Democrats in their desire to expedite these hearing is the possible role that the Court may end up playing in the approaching midterm elections.

Look, it’s everything that the Democrats have been doing, especially under our current fraudulent administration, that is borderline criminal as well as outright unconstitutional. Our southern border is being overrun by those who are then being flown to locations all across the country under cover of darkness. So pesky constitutional issues about choosing an unqualified person just because she’s a black, doesn’t really mean much in these days of total anarchy taking place in our cities! To them, it’s just a distraction that is to be ignored as they all move onto the next big thing to screw up after the affirmative action appointee is settled onto the Court.

There’s no doubt that ‘Creepy Joe’ already has his team beating the bushes for the most insanely radical individual they can find for him to nominate in the hopes that the enough Republicans, out of fear of being called racist, will vote to support his nominee no matter how radical they may be shown to be. They will play the race card to paint all Republicans as racists in an attempt to improve their precarious position regarding the looming midterm elections. Republicans need to grow a spine and approach the confirmation process methodically and systematically. They need to force the Democrats to explain why they need such a radical person on the court.

Manchin is all talk and no action. Except for ‘Creepy Joe’s ‘Build Back Better’ debacle, which he came dangerously close to supporting, Manchin has rubber-stamped pretty much everything in the Democrats’ far left agenda. He’s supposed to be voting in the manner that those in his very conservative state of West Virginia, a state that voted overwhelmingly for President Trump in 2020, elected him to vote. But he rarely does, instead voting the way that his party’s bosses tell him to vote. And let’s not forget that Manchin has also made it known, on more than one occasion, that he’s very much in favor of doing away with President Trump’s tax cuts.

And imagine the justifiable outrage by all Americans if it was any president who announced their nominee to the Supreme Court would come only from a list of those who were both white and male. America deserves a nominee, with NO consideration of race, color, gender or religious faith. They should be the BEST nominee based on talent, skill and merit, and must possess a full understanding of our Constitution in order to uphold the rule of law. And we mustn’t think for a moment that Manchin will allow ‘Creepy Joe’ to paint him as being a racist. That will never happen. Manchin will find any Black, female radical that ‘Creepy Joe’ chooses to be “highly qualified."

Personally, I have no problem with any woman, regardless of race, being selected to replace Breyer, but by announcing that he's going to make his appointment based upon such a narrowed pool of candidates, those who are black females, will forever cast doubt on whether or not she was the most qualified person for the job and was instead merely a diversity hire. So what ‘Creepy Joe’ is telling us that the next individual selected for the high court won’t be chosen based on merit. She will simply be chosen based on her race and gender. Yes, it’s a sad state of affairs. The nominee does not have to know anything, she only needs to be, black.

I’m sure that all of us who are old enough remember how the Democrats have treated every Republican nominee since Robert Bork. They’ve lied, made all manner of racist accusations, empty charges of sexual harassment, gender hate and on and on, doing everything possible in their effort to degrade every nominee. Now they expect clear passage with no questions asked of a Democrat nominee under threat of being called racist. Republicans must stand up, investigate, question and put the nominee on the spot. This is a lifetime appointment and if you’re afraid of being called racist by the most the most racist of politicians, the Democrats, you don’t belong in the Senate!

And we all know that it’s only the Democrats, driven by their need for power and their quest to control every aspect of our lives, who would think it’s ok to appoint, or to hire, someone based solely on their gender and the color of their skin which is, itself, blatantly unconstitutional. The only thing they should be looking at are a person’s qualifications, the soundness of their judicial opinions and, I think, most importantly when it comes to those nominated to the Supreme Court, how many times their decisions have been overturned by higher courts. That is what gives one a good understanding of how well they follow, and/or understand, the Constitution.

The Orwellian driven Democrats attempt to ‘rubberstamp’ all of their politically corrupt, criminal and treasonous agendas before they start their party before country crusades the purpose of which is to take and maintain their power. Wake up America, this will not end well if they are allowed to continue. Manchin surprised us with the ‘Build Back Better’ bill, and maybe he will surprise us again and by some miracle other Democrat may get onboard and actually do what’s best for America and the American people instead of what they think is best for their party. But I’m not holding my breath on that one. Americans need to wake up, the insanity has gone on long enough.

JOE MANCHIN AND THE MYTH OF THE ‘MODERATE’ DEMOCRAT…

Today in 2021 it’s absolutely ludicrous for anyone to continue to make the claim that there are those within the Democrat Party who can be described, in any way, as a ‘moderate.’ Of course, we have the same issue with ‘moderates’ in the Republican Party as well, we call them RINOs. But that’s a discussion for another time. But on the topic of ‘moderate’ Democrats, where once there were quite a few in the party who could rightfully be called ‘moderate,’ today there are those who only pretend. Oh sure, they’ll appear to hang tough for a while, but it’s usually only long enough to convince the folks back home that they’re not just another leftwing crazy. But in the end, they ALWAYS cave, because deep inside they are just another leftwing crazy.

Which brings me to Joe Manchin, senator from West Virginia, and the man that may yet be the savior of the filibuster. It would seem that Joe has a big decision to make, one that will prove exactly just what kind of man he truly is. And since he has chosen to cave on so may other occasions, I’m not holding out much hope that he won’t do so again and side with his party instead of siding with his supporters, and his country. You see, according to a poll released by Honest Election Project on Tuesday old Joe’s political future could very well hinge on his “continued defense of the filibuster.” A majority of Manchin’s supporters are against ending the filibuster, something far-left Democrats are now very keen on and have been pressuring Manchin to support.

And so, it’s according to this poll that 56 percent of West Virginians (including 59 percent of Manchin supporters) would be less likely to support him for reelection if he chooses to vote to eliminate, or to weaken, the filibuster. Fifty-six percent of West Virginians (including 67 percent of Manchin supporters) also agree with Manchin that the filibuster is a “critical tool to protecting” democracy. Sixty-three percent of those polled (including 70 percent of Manchin supporters) agree with Manchin that weakening the filibuster worsens “political dysfunction” and fuels “hateful rhetoric and violence.” But does Manchin believe what he’s saying to the degree necessary to stand up to those within his party seeking to do away with it? That’s the question.

And the poll report states that “Joe Manchin’s political future may hinge on his continued defense of the filibuster. Leftwing activists and dark money special interests are pressuring Manchin to renege on his pledge to protect the filibuster. But in West Virginia, the filibuster is more popular than Joe Manchin.” And the report makes note of the fact that Manchin is underwater in West Virginia with an approval rating of 36 percent and a disapproval rating of 55 percent. West Virginians are also largely against the federal takeover of elections, with 73 percent of those polled (including 79 percent of Manchin supporters) disagreeing with the statement that the federal government should dictate West Virginia’s voting laws.

Those numbers spell trouble for Manchin, who has positioned himself as a co-sponsor of the “Freedom to Vote Act,” which is arguably nothing other than a watered-down version of the “For the People Act,” which sought to federalize elections. And according to the Wall Street Journal, “Calling this bill slimmed down, though, is like touting your healthy choices after you order a Diet Coke with four Big Macs. The revised text is 592 pages, and it wraps up many of the same ideas that made H.R.1 a nonstarter.” And according to the poll report, most West Virginians reject the major provisions of Manchin’s proposed legislation. For example, 78 percent of West Virginians and 87 percent of Manchin supporters are in favor voter ID laws.

But also, as was noted in the report, “Manchin’s bill eliminates photo ID requirements nationwide, while continuing to allow states like California to use no voter ID at all.”  And it was 83 percent of West Virginians and 87 percent of Manchin supporters who also oppose using taxpayers’ dollars to finance campaigns, something that his legislation would facilitate through something called a “Democracy Credit” program. Ultimately, Manchin is being pulled in two directions. His supporters seemingly want their elected leader to maintain moderate positions on the hot button issues. Meanwhile the rest of his party simply wants him to comply with their more radical agenda. So, the question that remains is which side is it that he will come down on?

Manchin could guarantee re-election by simply switching to the Republican Party. Republicans would pledge their metaphorical firstborns to Manchin via blanket political endorsements. The problem is that Manchin is a far leftist at heart who’s spent his entire political life camouflaging those views to stay in office. His political extremism prevents him from becoming a Republican. The Democrats are now giving their far-left impulses free rein, Manchin included. For Manchin, this is his second opportunity, after Obamacare, to be part of not just one, but a grab bag of massive new Federal entitlement programs. The guy isn’t expressing any real doubt about them, he’s just putting on a show of reluctance to salvage some hope of re-election.

To put it simply, Manchin needs to grow a pair and start doing what it is that he was sent to the Senate to do, which is to represent West Virginians. And he needs to tell Chuckie that his obligation, his allegiance, is to the people of West Virginia, not to the Democrat Party. After all, he’s there to represent the people of his state, that’s why the chose to vote for him. That’s why voters want to know the positions held on the important issues by those they vote for. The Democrats are pulling out all the stops in their effort to push forward with a truckload of radical agenda items that most Americans oppose. In the evenly split, Senate Manchin will have the opportunity to prove which side he is on, the side of the Democrat Party or the side of America.

Finally, there is not a doubt in my military mind that Manchin will once again cave and abide by his typical habit of speaking rationally and yet choosing to move the Socialist agenda over the top at the last minute. Frankly, I don’t see how West Virginians can have any self-respect after sending this fraud back to the Senate every chance they get. Manchin will likely sell out again as he always does. Manchin is a Democrat through and through and he will sell America out to keep his own status. This man cannot be trusted, he’s no different than any other Democrat. He talks smooth but he’s full of BS. And the fact that Manchin is actually having such a tough time with this should tell his voters all that they really need to know about him.
