Can please we all agree that perhaps the dumbest sort of individual on all of planet Earth is likely to be an athlete? And it’s the brain power required to succeed as your average athlete, depending on the sport being played of course, that is rivalled only by that that is perhaps required to be an actor or a singer. And perhaps the most ignorant among all of these mental midgets is a guy who, despite being able to do nothing more than to dribble a damn basketball, not only sees himself as being so much more than he is, but also seems to be seen by others as being so much more than what he is, which is a BASKETBALL PLAYER!! And not a particularly bright one.
And of course, he of whom I speak is none other than LeBron James, who has demonstrated numerous times he’s just not that bright. He made that point yet again last Thursday when he went on a post-game rant, demanding that the police officers involved in the death of Breonna Taylor be arrested. James kicked off the post-game conference saying he wanted to “shed light” on the case. He said, “I want to continue to shed light on justice for Breonna Taylor and to her family and everything that’s going on with that situation.” When asked what he thinks the next step should be, James replied, “We want the cops arrested who committed that crime.”
James then went on to say, “It’s unfortunate that — well, it’s fortunate that we had the George Floyd video to see it. I mean, is that what we need to see a video of Breonna being killed for people to realize how bad the situation is?” Breonna Taylor lost her life in March when Louisville, Kentucky, police officers served a “no-knock” warrant on her home looking for drugs. But when they smashed down the door, Taylor’s boyfriend fired a shot at the officers claiming that he thought his home was being broken into. Police returned fire and struck Taylor, killing her in her bed. I would argue that she was, perhaps, yet another victim of bad choices.
James then proceeded to go on what was an extended, 15-minute monologue on racism. James said, “When you wake up, and you’re Black, that is what it is. It shouldn’t be a movement. It should be a lifestyle. This is who we are. And we understand that, and we know that for one step that someone else might have to take, or for one yard someone else may have to take, we know we got to take five more steps.” He said, “We know we got to take ten more yards to get to the end zone.” And he said, “I mean, we understand that. We know that.” Oh boohoo, cry me a freaking river, you big baby. Who is this ass trying to kid?
He said, “But it’s also what makes us as strong, it makes us as powerful, it makes us so unique and unified is that we done had so much hardships in our life — either from personal experiences or loved ones or reading history or seeing videos, Rodney King, or just being a part of just the communities that you’re in, where you’re just racially profiled from the time you come out of the womb.” And he went on to say, “I don’t like the word ‘movement’ because, unfortunately, in America and in society, there ain’t been no damn movement for us. There ain’t been no movement.” James said that he hopes his speaking out will encourage other players to do so.
I thought it strange though that an issue that this great and wonderous ‘role model’ never once even bothered to touch upon is the fact that perhaps if blacks were to make better decisions, there would likely be far fewer of them getting killed. Not only by the police but, in all likelihood, by each other. Now wouldn’t that be something. But then, if we actually did come to have fewer blacks dying because of violence that likely wouldn’t play well for the Democrat Party, the same party that James continues to think actually has the best interests of those in the black community at heart. Which anyone with a brain, knows is a lie!
So, to follow the logic of Mr. James, it would appear that when you wake up as a black person, you have to embrace a paid domestic terrorist group run by white liberal Marxists and anarchists. The same group who stays silent every weekend in Chicago and other Democrat run cities that lead the nation in murders. BLM cares not about black on black criminality. BLM cares not about violence perpetrated by blacks. The only statistic that matters to BLM is when a white cop does something to a black criminal. James is now fully owned by Red China. He lectures the rest of us as he refuses to take issue with the fact that Nike willingly employs child slave laborers.
There have been over 200 murders of innocent blacks in the last month in the city of Chicago alone, perpetrated by other blacks, for reasons only they know, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Perhaps James’ focus should be on the outrage of seeing 2 and 3 year old children being gunned down by black gangsters looking to settle scores over dope, women or gang territory. I’ll start listening to what he has to say when he drops the charade and deflection about bad cops and have an honest conversation about why blacks can’t stop killing each other. And don’t blame whites for being the reason why blacks are killing each other.
Oh, and how about the 514 whites murdered by blacks in America during just 2018 alone? There’s no mention of that by James, the ‘fake news’ media, BLM or any of the Democrats. That’s 57 times more whites killed by blacks than unarmed blacks killed by police. And even more devastating to the “blacks as victims” narrative is the fact that blacks killed well over twice as many whites than there were blacks killed by whites in 2018, even though blacks make up only 13% of the population, while whites make up over 60%. The data couldn’t be more clear in showing that it's actually whites who are the victims of black violence in America.
Our country is under attack from radical leftists. Mobs rampage through our streets, monuments are being destroyed, and the very law and order that ensures our communities’ peace and security is being undermined. In far too many instances, those bent on destruction have hijacked protests, creating violence and division and ultimately attacking the very foundation of our nation. Black Lives Matter (BLM) has about as much to do with black lives as the name ‘Dodge’ has to do with what that car does, or the name ‘Rambler’ has to do with what that car does. It’s a name! BLM is a Marxist-Leninist organization dedicated to the violent overthrow of our country.
The organization actually advocates an agenda that is completely out of step with American values. One look at the BLM organization’s website shows that the idea of protecting black lives and seeking justice is merely a vehicle to advance a different, radical set of ideas. The organization is more dedicated to gaining political power and remaking America according to Marxist ideology. The group’s platform includes planks unrelated to improving black lives, like calling for dismantling the family. The breakdown of the black family and the rise of single-parent households is one of the root causes of poverty, crime and drug abuse in many black communities.
We’ve seen time and again how it is that leftist protesters go about physically and verbally attacking police officers, an entire neighborhood turned into a violent "autonomous zone” with spineless politicians ordering the police to stand down and to allow the anarchists to rule over innocent residents. We’ve seen violent mobs defacing and toppling statues of historical figures such as soldiers and abolitionists. We must stop the violence and destruction and bring those committing criminal acts to justice while protecting the rights of good people to protest peacefully. Calls to defund the police are calls for chaos and calls to disarm them are lunacy.
The most desperate communities in America are, and have been for decades, run by liberal Democrats. And we have seen, and continued to see, what it is that type of leadership brings about. Things like generational poverty, fatherless families, worsening educational outcomes, more disparity and higher crime rates. Lurching even further left would prove to be even more disastrous. Instead, we must implement conservative policies to ensure America’s promise of liberty and opportunity is a promise for all Americans. America is a land of promise, and conservative policies can make those promises ring true for ALL Americans.
