I am not now, nor have I ever been, a big fan of our
current president. However, let me be
among the first to admit that when Barry came into office he did so with the
potential to become so much more than what he has. Here was the first black man to be elected
president of the United States, imagine, all of the good he could have
done. And while those on the left may
disagree, Barry would, instead, allow himself to be controlled by what is a
twisted ideology and with the net result being that when he finally does leave
office he will be leaving our country far worse off than when it was turned
over to him.
If nothing else, Barry is, without a doubt, living
proof that the level of potential one possess comes with a definite expiration
date. And Barry’s potential for
greatness expired on his very first day in office. And that he could so badly have squandered so
much, and so quickly, makes it all the more apparent that he never really had
any intention of working to bring the American people together. So imagine my surprise when, just yesterday, Barry claimed, during a
White House joint press conference with the leftist Canadian Prime Minister
Justin Trudeau, that he has “certainly... not contributed to” dividing the
country.
And it was during this very same press conference
that Barry would go on to say, “I’ve said at the State of the Union that one of
my regrets is the degree to which polarization and the nasty tone of our
politics has accelerated rather than waned over the course of the last 7 1/2
years.” While I agree that that is most
definitely the case, was Barry not the president during that same span of time? And that to be seen as nothing more than some
weird coincidence? And it was then that
Barry proceeded to provide us with and explanation of who he sees as being at
fault. And I’m sure you can guess who he
says is to blame.
Barry said: “I do all kinds of soul searching in
terms of, are there things that I can do better to make sure that we are
unifying the country. But I also have to say… that objectively it’s fair to say
that the Republican political elites and many of the information outlets,
social media and news stations, talk radio, television stations have been
feeding the Republican base for the last seven years a notion that everything I
do is to be opposed, that cooperation or compromise somehow is a betrayal, that
maximalist, absolutist positions on issues are politically advantageous, that
there is a ‘them’ out there and an ‘us’ and ‘them’ are the folks who are
causing whatever the problems you’re experiencing and the tone of that
politics, which I certainly have not contributed to.”
Sorry, Mr. President, but "objectively it's
fair to say" that it’s you and your very own rabid anti-Americanism and
your goal of “fundamentally transforming” this country that are really to blame
here. It's not the fault of some mythical vast right-wing conspiracy as you
would like everyone to believe. And as
is usually the case, and as we have seen play out time and again over the
course of the last seven years, Barry once again stubbornly refuses to accept
any responsibility this class warfare.
Nothing negative can ever be said to be any fault of his. How wonderful it must be to go through life
with nothing bad ever being your fault.
And Barry continued by saying, “You know, I don’t
think that I was the one to prompt questions about my birth certificate, for
example. I don’t remember saying, "Hey, why don’t you ask me about
that?" "Why don’t you question whether I’m American or whether I’m
loyal or whether I have America’s best interests at heart." Those aren’t
things that were prompted by any actions of mine, and so what you’re seeing
within the Republican Party is, to some degree, all of those efforts over a
course of time creating an environment where somebody like a Donald Trump can
thrive.” No, Barry considers himself to
be as pure as the wind driven snow.
The sorry and rather tragic result of our first
Black President has been his compete inability and total unwillingness to bring
various groups together through the Bully Pulpit. Martin Luther King set the table and Barry
“Almighty” attempted the magic trick of removing the table cloth, but instead
disrupted the settings and destroyed everything as things flew into chaos. Barry could have been so much more. And even many of us who chose not to vote for
him hoped that he would be able to live up to all of the promise. But sadly, and in pretty short order, we came
to realize that that was simply never going to happen.
Barry wanted to change the country and change it
did! Unfortunately, again those on the
left will disagree, he has changed it for the worse. Let’s face it, Obamacare is not only a
disaster, but it was clearly intended to be nothing but a scam. And race relations in this country have never
been worse. And then there’s the fact
that over 90 million Americans are out of our workforce, more Americans are on
welfare and food stamps than ever before, and his foreign policy is a
joke. He continues to focus on the bogus
issue of global warming, declaring it to be a more serious threat than
terrorism and he has literally thrown open our southern border.
No, the fact that this country has become far more
divided then ever over the course if his presidency can be, and rightly should
be, blamed on no one other than Barry “Almighty.” If the last seven years have shown us
anything it’s that the person we elect as our president has considerable
influence on us as a nation. Barry came
into office wanting to change the face of America, and when he does finally
leave office, America will have come to much more closely resemble a third
world nation than the prosperous beacon of freedom that it was on the day when
he first stepped foot into the Oval Office.
We have fallen so far in such a short period of time.
Oddly enough Barry will be leaving office with
exactly the legacy that I think he intended to have. That being a diminished America, and on
nearly every front. An America that has
been purposely weakened economically, financially, morally, internationally and,
of course, militarily. An America that
may, in the end, be hopelessly divided. So
for Barry it will be mission accomplished, but he must make it appear that it’s
others who are to blame for the divisiveness.
You see, Democrats need an America that is divided, it’s critical to
their success. Because as long as we can
be made to fight with each other, we’re not uniting against them.
