And it was over the course of this past Friday evening and Saturday morning, while speaking at something called the ‘Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership convention’ that we heard from several of those who think that they would be far better choices than President Trump when it comes to representing the party in 2024 for president. Three of the more prominent voices were those of Chris Christie, Mike Pompeo and Larry Hogan. While there was a time when I possessed a certain amount of respect for both Christi and Pompeo both have since proven themselves to be disappointments. As for Hogan, he’s always been pretty much of a political zero.
It came as no surprise that Christie, who likened
Trump supporters to the John Birch Society, blamed Republican losses for high
inflation and crime as he urged the party to dump President Trump. Counting off
the losses of Trump-backed candidates in several key midterm races, while
omitting victories such as that of Sen.-elect J.D. Vance, Christie said the
Republican Party needed to free itself from one-man rule in order to win again.
And while he may think he’s just the guy that we need, he’s really one of the
last ones that we need. What the past clearly shows us is that when we have
squishy RINOs, like Christie, at the top of the ticket we lose, every time!
And there was also a time I had a rather high
opinion of Pompeo. But alas, that was before he too revealed himself to be
nothing more than yet another RINO backstabber who’s apparently only out for
himself. He’s another that seems to have no problem whatsoever with shoving a
knife into the back of the best president this country has had since President
Reagan. Sadly, come 2024 the only options that we are likely to have to pick
from will be President Trump and the typical cadre of RINOs, which is exactly
what we were faced with in 2016, which is exactly what Donald Trump won the
primaries. And yet, these clowns think this time it will somehow be different?
Christie is, I have no doubt, still simply pissed
off over the fact that President Trump chose not to pick him for Attorney
General. And so what better way for a guy who wants people to think that he
would be a capable president than to go about demonstrating that he’s not just
another petty asshole and that he has been able to move beyond setbacks of the
past. But instead, Christie chooses to continually attack the guy who didn’t
happen to think he was the best guy for the job he so desperately wanted?
Christie has run himself out of chances. And at this point he seems more
interested in trying to harm President Trump than define himself as a
candidate.
And as far as Pompeo goes, I’m not really sure what his
gripe is. Perhaps he’s simply experiencing some delusions of grandeur. But
whatever it is that might be driving his presidential aspirations, even he must
realize that he stands no more chance of winning the nomination than does
Christie. And with that said, I’m assuming that he too would rather have Joey,
or any Democrat, be elected in 2024, rather than President Trump. And frankly,
for a couple of guys who supposedly love this country, that’s just so bizarre
to me. I look at Trump’s record as president and say we need this guy back
ASAP, they look at that same record and say never again! WTF???
Another common theme hard from Christie, Pompeo and
Hogan was how it was President Trump who was somehow to blame for the fact that
the “red wave” turned out to be more of a red trickle. But I would beg to
differ. Personally, I choose to place blame where it belongs. And it’s much of
the blame that lies with those who, when running for office make all sorts of
promises to gain votes, and then when safely in office turnaround and do
whatever the fuck they want to do. So how is it that President Trump can
somehow be blamed when it’s so obvious that people simply feel they can no
longer trust Republicans candidates to make good on their promises?
Donald Trump, when he was running for president,
made us a promise that he would do all that he could to ‘Make America Great
Again.’ He promised us he would secure our southern border, he promised us he
would build us a strong economy, he promised us he would rebuild our military,
he promised he would rid the world of ISIS, he promised he would make America
energy independent and so very much more. And it was for first time in as long
as I can remember that we had elected a president who actually made good on the
promises he had made. And had he had a bit more help from Republicans in Congress,
he would have accomplished much more.
And since Christie has decided to stab President
Trump in the back, why should we believe that he wouldn’t do the same to those
foolish enough to vote for him. He’s got a long history of stabbing other Republicans
in the back, ask Romney how that works, not that Romney, who does the same
thing, didn’t deserve it. The history with this guy is that he cannot, and
should not, be trusted and he’s got zero credibility, not a great combination.
Gun-grabbing Larry Hogan has zero chance of ever becoming the Republican nominee.
And that Hogan is in any considered to be a presidential contender is beyond
ludicrous. He is, as I said, a pure political zero!
And as far as President Trump’s midterm endorsement
record goes, it was per the Washington Examiner’s tally of his endorsement
record as of 14 September, that it was in total that President Trump eked out
217 wins and 19 losses. At least three of his picks are still outstanding and
will face their primary competition in a general election runoff. I wish I
could go to the casino and win 217 times out of 239 times, how about you? And
yet both Christie and Pompeo would have us believe that President Trump is
somehow how a detriment to getting future genuine ‘American First’ candidates
elected in the future, when it’s they who are the detriment.
And finally, how about we take a brief trip down
memory lane and review just what it is about the man that so many are saying
should never again be allowed to enter the White House. For starters, the
unemployment rate dropped precipitously with President Trump, in fact to all-time
record low levels in at least 13 states. Black unemployment levels were also at
all-time record lows, as were Hispanic, women, and all minorities unemployment
levels. Originalist/conservative judges were appointed to the Supreme Court. President
Trump quite rightly refused the asinine and impotent ‘Paris Accord,’ thus saving
American taxpayers several TRILLION dollars.
President Trump also approved both Keystone and
Dakota Access pipelines, also excellent for America and taxpayers. He made
America energy independent and a net energy exporter for the first time in decades.
President Trump had signed into law legislation giving the VA more power to
fire failed employees and protect whistleblowers who uncover wrongdoing at the
VA. Reopened federal land for energy exploration, removed impediments to coal
mining. He stopped the obscene “fair waters act,” has removed roughly 22
regulations for each new one he’s signed into law and directed all departments
to remove two regulations for any new ones added.
Illegal immigration was
down drastically, there was a major crackdown on illegals who've committed
major crimes, such as MS-13. Consumer confidence, business confidence, and the
stock market were all up, up and up. Jobs were booming. President Trump cut
something like $2 Trillion in Obama excessive regulations. And what I’ve listed
here is really just the tip of the Trump iceberg. So by all means, why is it
that ANY responsible American would ever want a man such as Donald Trump,
especially when they can have someone like a Christie, a Pompeo or, god forbid,
a Hogan. They all think that if they harp on Trump enough, they can stop him!
