KARL, WHO??? OFFERS ADVICE TO REPUBLICANS???

So, let me see if I have this right. One of those who were essentially responsible for bringing about what is nothing less than the end of our two party system, courtesy of their having ushered in the demise of the Republican Party, is now offering advice, to those still interested in doing so, advice on how best the party would be able to get its groove back. Seriously? And it is in so doing that Karl Rove once again makes very clear why it is that he is no longer respected, nor trusted, by the millions of Americans and conservatives who supported President Trump. Rove should be seen as nothing other than a court jester in the service of the Republican Establishment. 

Rove is that long-forgotten ‘Architect’ from the G.W. Bush Presidency. And it was this week that he apparently thought was the most opportune time for him to comment on the 2020 Presidential election and what needs to happen moving forward since he’s been so successful over the course of the last decade. It was in a recent Op-Ed at the Wall Street Journal that Rove said, “It’s important to remember that President Donald Trump’s most popular achievements were conservative: originalist judges, a pro-growth tax cut, regulatory relief, strong national defense, recognition of the global threat posed by China, secure borders, and respect for life and religious liberty.”

Rove seems to forget that before Trump, Republicans had said virtually nothing about China stealing jobs or intellectual property or about securing our borders.  He gives no credit to President Trump for being the most pro-life President in history and neglects to mention unfair trade, jobs, peace in the Middle East and the American future in space. Rove and others forget that after eight years of President Bush, who never took a stand against the corrupt media, the Republican Party was in shambles. Rove’s efforts gave America ‘BO’ and Democrats supermajorities in both the House and Senate.  Many would argue he has no right to even present his ideas after that failure.

The thing that Rove doesn’t understand is that President Trump was a winner and the most popular Republican in history. President Trump celebrated numerous accomplishments despite Rove and others in the Republican Party opposing him, blocking him or actively working against him and his supporters along the way. Rove comments on the election without seriously considering the impossibility that: Republicans lost the White House while picking up U.S. House seats, holding half the Senate, and adding to its numbers in state legislative chambers. Rove refuses to look further into these numbers simply because he hates President Trump.

Rove then goes on to add, “The party should also increase efforts to recruit candidates who are female, Hispanic, Asian-American, black and younger. More diverse candidates were key to the GOP’s surprise gains in the House and the states. The GOP must also disavow QAnon, the Proud Boys and militia elements that have infiltrated its ranks. The first is a cult organized around bizarre conspiracy theories and directed by unknown cranks, the second is a gang of violent thugs, and the third is a group of secessionists and extremists. Nothing good will come from tolerating such kooks and fanatics.” Rove is a boob and worthy only of being ignored.

As is usually the case, Rove has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. What he says is directly from the Democrat playbook. He proves this by making what is, without a doubt, the most idiotic comment ever made by a political pundit on either side by saying, “Republicans should also encourage GOP secretaries of state and state lawmakers to develop a model election code. The job of proposing electoral reforms shouldn’t be based on the unsupported claims of widespread fraud peddled by Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.” A person would have to have his head in a hole since the election to not see the election fraud.  His statement is simply not true. 

Rove fails because the entire world is talking about how the Democrats were able to steal the election, just not on social media where they banned any such discussion of the 2020 election fraud.  Rove states emphatically that the steal did not happen and blames Americans’ lack of trust with the election system on President Trump. He said, “Mr. Trump has already done damage to the GOP by convincing some followers that our democratic system is so rigged that it isn’t worth voting. Look at the January 5 Georgia Senate runoffs: Turnout in the most-Trump friendly congressional districts dropped more from the general election than the statewide average.”

Of course, it’s all Donald Trump’s fault!  It has nothing to do with the corrupt system in place in Georgia that stole the state from Donald Trump and allowed a radical Marxist to defeat an attractive Republican U.S. Senator. And didn’t President Trump actively campaign for both Loeffler and Perdue? Rove iout of touch, he is a remnant of the past, a dinosaur. His ideas are not sound, wise or popular today in the era of the Trump Republican Party.  Rove doesn’t understand that the election was most certainly stolen and now all Americans want is the truth. Turncoats who ignore or deny this will have no influence whatsoever in the future, nor should they.

Democrats have learned that nothing can stop them. Not lawsuits, not lower court judges not the Supreme Court, certainly not Republicans, not videotapes of them cheating, not even hundreds of affidavits. All of which will only serve to encourage them to use the same tactics in every election from now on. And since the Republican Party no longer really serves any useful purpose why should we continue to reward cowardly RINOs who care only about themselves? Why reward the ones who used Donald Trump and then stabbed him in the back? If we don’t do something drastic, and soon, there will never be any point in voting ever again.

Look, Rove is just another has-been desperate in his attempt to remain relevant any way he can. Personally, I find him to be about as trustworthy as a used car salesman. There is absolutely nothing he can say that will convince me that the Republican Party must be made to do anything other than to die an unceremonious death. It hasn’t had much to offer for a very long time, and frankly I’m tired be being told one thing by those trying to gain my vote, only to be ignored once they have been safely elected. That was until Donald Trump came along, and did just what it was that he told us he would do. And yet it’s Donald Trump that Rove thinks is the problem?

Perhaps that might be because, for the last five years, Donald Trump was strangely responsible for those on both sides of the political aisle suddenly revealing their true selves, and we all got to see just how corrupt, incompetent, vicious, immoral those in our government truly are. And that’s why they hate him. Also Donald Trump is self-made, so there’s no need for those in the ‘fake news’ media to concoct his many achievements. And that’s why THEY hate him. We support him because we’re not threatened by him. He tells it like it is. He believes in what we believe in, faith, family and country, all things that totalitarians, communists, sociopaths despise.

I do have to laugh whenever I hear idiots, like Rove, talk about ‘strategies’ that should be employed by the Republican Party, after they knowingly allowed a fraudulent election to subvert the will of the American people. And they allowed the ‘fake news’ media to spread lies, slander, and misinformation about anyone that didn’t have a (D) after their name. They protected, allowed and even encouraged mass censorship by big tech during an election cycle. They allowed the destruction of small businesses by allowing unnecessarily long and blatantly unconstitutional lock downs. They allowed ANTIFA and BLM to rain terror in cities all across our country.

Finally, it’s those like Rove who are the very last ones that anyone should be listening to. But then, at this point I could care less whether he’s listened to or not. Republicans are free to follow the advice of anyone they wish, because as I have said, I’m done with them. I have now officially moved on. I have put up with a lot over the past few decades, believing that voting for the was better than voting for Democrats. But I’m just not so sure that that is any long the case. I want something more, I want someone to tell me what they are going to do to save my country and then, do it. Just like President Trump. And I no longer trust Republicans to do that. Sorry Karl!

KARL ROVE: WHO’S THE MORE FOOLISH, THE FOOL OR THE FOOLS WHO FOLLOW HIM???

So what is it, do you suppose, that the Senate Republicans will do when faced with their latest dilemma? Will they choose to follow the advice offered to them by such failed ‘strategists’ as Karl Rove, and even further estrange themselves from those whom they rely upon to put them into office by continuing the charade that our most recent election was in any way free and fair, and to accuse President Trump of not only advancing the argument that he was cheated, but of also inciting the violence that neither he nor his supporters played any role in?  Or, might they finally grow the semblance of a pair of testicles and call this Impeachment 2.0 exactly what it is?

So what prompts my question here is the fact that it was during an appearance with fellow Trump-Hater, ‘Crybaby Chris’ Wallace, on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that Rove made the rather bold statement that President Trump will be convicted in the Senate, with several Republicans voting in favor of impeachment, if his defense continues to be that there actually was widespread voter fraud that took place in the 2020 presidential election. You see, it’s both Rove and ‘Crybaby Chris’ who continue to deny the fact that there was any form of voter fraud that occurred and that claims to the contrary are absolutely nothing more than pure fiction.   

‘Crybaby Chris’ Wallace asked, “Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell says that he is keeping an open mind about the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump, a big difference, sharp difference, from his clear opposition from the very start of the first impeachment trial just a year ago. What do you think, Karl, are the chances that 17 Senate Republicans, and that’s what it would take if all of the Democrats vote for conviction, 17 Senate Republicans would vote to convict Donald Trump and to keep them from running again?” You can tell that ‘Crybaby Chris’ is very much hoping that there will be those willing to convict the president for ‘crimes’ he didn’t commit.  

Rove said, “Normally we say not much chance, but I think Leader McConnell’s statement is a sign that every Republican Senator needs to take this seriously. I think it’s all going to boil down what’s the president’s defense. Rudy Giuliani charted a very bad course for the president in the morning papers when he suggested that the argument was going to be in there couldn’t have been incitement because all the charges of widespread voter fraud are true.” I can’t help but wonder if there are 17 Republicans so willing to take part in the attempt to make it more difficult for Donald Trump to run in 2024, that they could be talked into committing political suicide.

Rove went on to say, “Well, those charges and the so-called experts that the campaign has mustered to advocate them have been rejected by over 50 courts with judges appointed by President Trump, President Obama, Present Bush, President Clinton, and I think even one Reagan justice. So if it’s the Rudy Giuliani defense, there is a strong likelihood that more than 17 Republicans will because essentially that argument is this was justified, the attack on the Capital and the attempt to end the congressional hearing on certifying the election was justified because all these charges are true and frankly they aren’t.” Rove is a lying sack of shit!!!

Rove concluded his idiotic rant by saying, “They have been given every opportunity to prove them in a court of law and have failed to do so. I think it really boils down to what’s the defense that the president is going to make, and if it is Rudy Giuliani’s defense, I think it raises the likelihood of more than 17 Republicans voting for conviction.” And in so doing, Rove is simply doing that which Rove does best, that being to parrot that which is nothing more than dishonest gibberish. The evidence of election rigging and cheating has not been adjudicated in ANY court. Republicans would be doing themselves a yuge favor by ignoring Rove’s idiotic advice.

And until the evidence thus far uncovered, that relates regarding how it was that certain states stopped counting ballots, nearly simultaneously, and the statically impossible swing in the vote totals that resulted, is finally heard, there will ALWAYS be questions about the legitimacy of this election. And the fact that no one seems to want to know the truth raises even more questions. And as much as Rove might wish it to be so, simply declaring that no evidence of voter fraud exists, doesn’t make it so. The evidence of voter fraud that has been uncovered is nothing short of overwhelming, and yet those like Rove and ‘Crybaby Chris’ refuse to see it.   

The Leftists and RINOs now employed at ‘Fox News,’ in what appears to be increasing numbers, are accomplishing little more than to drag ‘Fox News’ ratings further into the toilet. And frankly, I’m ok with that. ‘Fox News’ is sinking faster than I would have ever thought possible and those in charge seem to be doing nothing in trying to avert what will likely be a complete and total implosion. I must admit that it’s a rather strange business model that the folks there at ‘Fox News’ now seem to be employing, one that has them doing everything that they possibly can to continue the effort to see just how many of their viewers they are able to alienate.

Also, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if we were all to find out that ‘Fox News’ has now likely joined with CNN in what we’ve been told is and effort to get both OAN and NEWSMAX booted off the air. After all, it’s far better to do that than it is to actually resort to having to tell the American people the truth. The American people are literally becoming starved of the truth. We have fewer and fewer places we can turn to in our effort to obtain for ourselves information that is, for one thing, true and for another thing is actually useful to us. And it is that that now seems to be the primary objective of the left, to keep the American people completely in the dark!  

To believe that ‘Creepy Joe’ Biden won this election would require what Hitlery once described as being a “willing suspension of disbelief.” Does Rove really expect anyone to believe that someone who came in fifth in the New Hampshire primary, was someone who had trouble filling your average sized gymnasium with his supporters and then picked as his running-mate someone who when running for the top spot herself never managed to get more than 2 percent of the vote, actually beat the guy who drew over a million people to his rallies, had endless car parades miles long and boat armada's in the thousands? All ‘Creepy Joe’ ‘won’ was a fraudulent ‘count.’

And so, if I have this right, the Democrat plan, with apparently the help of some RINOs, is to remove President Trump from an elected office which he will no longer hold, but only if he persists in claiming that something, which is supported by mountains of evidence, actually occurred? It is unconstitutional to hold an impeachment trial for a President who is no longer in office. However, the Democrats and a select number of Republicans have never cared about the Constitution, so that will not stop them from continuing to betray their oaths of office. They have shown us their true colors and have made clear the real reason they sought elected office.

For over four years President Trump has been subjected to all manner of false accusations in what was a continuing effort to remove him from office, culminating with what was the most fraudulent election ever to be conducted in the history of our country. There are mountains of evidence of fraud related to the 2020 election, yet the left AND some Republicans want to criminalize even talking about it as a matter of debate? So now the mission is to bury the truth by threatening to impeach President Trump if he continues to speak about it. That is not the America I grew up in nor is it the America in which I want my grandchildren to grow up in.

KARL ROVE, BESIDES BEING PART OF ‘THE SWAMP’, HE’S JUST ANOTHER NEVERTRUMPER…

Let me start out by saying that I pretty much stopped listening to anything Karl Rove has to say back in 2012 when he, and his little ‘white board’ all but guaranteed that Romney would defeat Barry ‘O’.  So earlier this morning when I read that he had showed up on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” and argued that President Trump should stop all of his anti-media rhetoric, such as calling the press the “enemy of the people”, I just shook my head.

Rove said, “Look I think this is over the top. Every president has a problem with the media. I was in the White House for seven years and I didn’t like the coverage they gave George W. Bush particularly the liberal “New York Times” but I think the president is better if he makes his case on a case-by-case basis. That is to say when they say something that is wrong and then he respectfully disagrees with them.”  Respect, Mr. Rove, is a two way street!

Anyway, Rove went on to say, “I think calling names is not helpful to our country from any side. Calling them the enemy of the people that just grates on me. I grew up during the time of the Cold War. That is a phrase that was used by Stalin against the enemies of the communist regime. I think the president would be well advised to tone down the rhetoric.”  Again with yet another reference to Stalin?  A man responsible for the death of 7 million people by starvation.

Look, since the day that Trump announced he was candidate, Rove has been nothing but a very vocal NeverTrumper, and it’s a safe bet that he will continue to be throughout the next six and half years.  The ‘White Board King’ is an enemy of the people right along with those in our ‘state-controlled’ media.  He’s a Bush insider and a traitor to our country. To deny the truth about the lies and propaganda coming from these sources is to be in cahoots with them.  

If the Republicans really do want to win this fall’s election then they should focus a little less on trying to help the Democrats undermine the president and provide the money to build ‘The Wall.’  If the Republicans are really on our side they need to expedite the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh and the many other nominations still awaiting confirmation.  What frustrates me the most is that we can plainly see what the Deep State is up to, and they no longer care that we know!

Rove is no different than any of the many other RINOs who have played along with the left in an effort to undermine Trump!  Folks like Dana Perino, Martha MacCallum, Shannon Bream, Chris Stirewalt, Brit Hume, Bret Baier and many others on FOX News who rarely tell the truth even when they know what that truth is! They all undermine Trump ever so discreetly because they are all status quo shills who want nothing to actually change. That might expose them for who they really are.

Mr. Rove seems to be rather naïve when it comes to how the left leaning press of today is little more than the disinformation and propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.  The best way to deal with this type of behavior is to meet it head-on.  A second point is he either doesn't realize, or simply chooses to ignore, the fact that President Trump bypasses the press with social media and rallies in order to get across his positions on issues without going through the media filter.

Denigrating the left leaning press helps voters to understand that the press should be questioned and challenged whenever it becomes obvious that they are less interested in reporting on the news and more interested in trying to effect public opinion. This helps the press be a bit more responsible in its reporting.  This is good for democracy. I don't believe that freedom of the press was ever intended to supplant the free speech of voters or make the press unaccountable.

Karl is most definitely a creature of ‘The Swamp.’ He was wrong about the primary, he was wrong about the election, he was wrong about the first two years of the Trump administration, and he continues to be wrong about those who comprise the Trump base. Like the rest of the NeverTrump GOP Establishment, he is condescending about identifying white, suburban, higher income voters as “those who don't like his actions and will peel off to support a Democrat.”

If it wasn't for the NeverTrumpers like Rove and his ilk stabbing the president in the back at every opportunity, this election wouldn’t a simply a “red wave” it would be a red tsunami. But they would apparently rather lose control of the House, and perhaps even the Senate, because they think that will be their ticket back into power in Washington. That's why the media loves him and you see him everywhere.  He is a fraud and a liar and is someone who cannot be trusted.

FILE THIS ONE UNDER: BLAH, BLAH, BLAH…

It was right after it had become painfully clear just how badly he had botched his analysis of the 2012 election, having all but guaranteed a Romney victory, that I gave up listening to anything that Karl Rove, the so-called ‘Architect’, has since had to say about pretty much anything that’s even remotely defined as politics.  And I see no reason to alter that position today as Mr. Rove does his best to paint a rosy picture for 2016.  I think that, as we saw in the run up to 2012, he simply leaves too many things overlooked.

You see, it’s according to our esteemed Mr. Rove’s recent piece in The Wall Street Journal, that despite all of Barry's talk in the State of the Union address about the middle class, those who are genuinely in that category are rapidly losing faith with the Democrats, making it likely that the party will go down to defeat in 2016.  He makes the claim that those who make up the white working class, college-educated Americans earning in the $50,000 to $100,000 range annually, are drifting away from the Democrats.

Rove cites a John Judis essay in the National Journal that argues that Democrats have lost the electoral advantages they had not long ago.  Reagan Republicanism, writes the left-leaning Judis, now appears to be the default position of many Americans.  The party's prospects are also stymied by the demoralized ranks of Senate Democrats. ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid has returned to work after an accident, but his leadership team, comprised of ‘Little Dick’ Durbin, Chuckie Schumer, and Patty Murray, remain quite divided.

Guided by Barry, Democrats have chosen "confrontation over conciliation and posturing over legislating," at least according to Mr. Rove.  Senate Democrats can do little more than vote no as "the upper chamber is again a functioning legislative body" under the new Republican majority.  They may be able to obstruct Republicans from using a Homeland Security funding bill to stop Barry's immigration policies. But their agenda is not taken seriously, leaving them with "little to stand for," writes Rove.  I lack Rove’s confidence in our Republican majority.

Roves makes the claim that it will not be easy to run in 2016 as a Democrat in a swing state. The president's proposal to hike "taxes on the top 20 percent to provide more refundable tax credits to the bottom 20 percent" is said not to be a winning strategy.  Nor are Barry's budget proposals that would increase discretionary spending, thereby raising the national debt another $7 Trillion by 2025. He claims that a solid majority of Americans think reducing the yearly deficit should be an "absolute priority."  But I have yet to see evidence of that.

Rove says, "The year's arc is set: Led by their stubborn and ideologically rigid president, Democrats will obstruct popular Republican proposals in Congress."  And that could well set the stage for the GOP to capture the White House next year.  However, there is much that can happen over the course of the next 20, or so, months, and if there is one certainty in the world of politics, it’s that nothing is for certain especially when taking into consideration the incredible ignorance of the American people.

And while Mr. Rove may think he has his finger on the pulse of America, it’s far more likely that he has that finger buried somewhere else, a place quite unpleasant.  Because the ignorance of the American people quickly becomes all the more apparent when, as their country is being destroyed right before their eyes, they seem to be far more interested in the fact that Bruce Jenner is now on his way to becoming a woman.  And it seems frightening, to say the least, that the future of our country lies in the hands of such people.  

FOOL ME TWICE AND IT’S MY OWN DAMN FAULT!!!

The esteemed Mr. Karl Rove wrote in a recent little piece in the Wall Street Journal that the 114th Congress could demonstrate that bipartisanship is still possible by building on Democrat support for legislation ranging from repairing some of the damage caused by Obamacare to providing greater access to charter schools. Look, I’m only going to go over this one more time, so Mr. Rove, if you could please pay attention. Republicans were NOT elected to be bipartisan, what they were elected to do was to prevent, to the greatest extent possible, Barry "Almighty" from doing any more damage to this country.

The veteran Republican strategist, fondly referred to by many, for some bizarre reason, as ‘The Architect’, argues that while some may ridicule the notion that the new Republican-controlled Congress can work in a bipartisan manner, the fact is that many of the bills passed by the outgoing GOP-led House had Democrat support. The measures never became law because of the maneuverings of Senate Democrat leader, ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid. So I’m assuming that Rove’s claim is based on the fact that with ‘Dingy’ no longer be in charge of the Senate things are likely to flow much smoother. For now let’s say that I’m keeping my expectations rather low.

Rove makes it very clear where it is that he stands by first acknowledging that the populist wings of both parties were fuming about passage of the unwieldy omnibus budget bill, and then he proceeds to write that now that spending is mostly set well into next year, the decks are cleared for Congress to return to what he calls, regular order. But the argument being put forward by many, including myself, is that the spending bill should have progressed no further than the end of next February. This farce of a deal that was passed, and that Rove seems to think was such a great thing, was really nothing more than a very nice Christmas gift for Barry.

Roves also makes the rather idiotic claim that both House Speaker John Boehner and incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are now be committed to operating Congress "in regular order – that is, to have legislation travel the long, often complicated, and deliberative path through which the Constitution intended." Well, gee, that certainly makes me feel better, how about you? But like I’ve said, there is but one reason why I, and many others, chose to vote for Republicans and it had absolutely nothing to do with our desire to make sure that Congress would come to operate "in regular order."

Rove points out that in the 113th Congress, the House passed numerous bills with varying degrees of Democrat support. They included bills to expand access to charter schools, limit junk lawsuits over patents, expand energy exports and block taxes on the Internet. The incoming Congress will tackle assorted measures that present opportunities for bipartisanship, from the Keystone XL pipeline and corporate tax reform to ‘tweaking’ Obamacare, especially in how it defines full-time work. For me, priority number one should be the utilizing of the ‘power of the purse’ to the maximum extent possible to stop every aspect of Barry’s agenda!

Rove claims that it’s both parties that want to get Capitol Hill on track, but I’ve seen little that would indicate to me that Democrats desire anything of the sort. And yet, according to Rove, "Democrats have also grown weary of being treated as bystanders by the Obama administration. So if Republicans play their cards right, the next two years could see conservative solutions pass with large bipartisan majorities." He goes on to say, "This would constitute hope and change not because of Mr. Obama, but despite him." Democrats are not interested in conservative solutions, and it bothers them very little to be bystanders, as long as the agenda is advanced.

The bottom line here is that I’ve stopped listening to both Mr. Rove and that other know-nothing boob, Dick Morris, ever since the claims they so confidently made regarding the 2012 election turned out to be so completely and utterly wrong. In fact they could not have been MORE wrong! They now have zero credibility and should no longer be listened to by anybody, it’s just that simple. The next two years are going to be absolutely crucial if we are to have any hope in winning the White House. And if the Republicans are foolish enough to follow the advice of Rove they will put at risk everything, including their newly acquired control of Congress.

THE FUTURE OF THE GOP, ACCORDING TO KARL ROVE...

Ok, so for the sake of argument, let’s just say that Karl Rove and the growing number of other Republicans are right. That the Republican Party simply has no hope of winning the 2016 presidential election by continuing to focus only on white voters without also securing at least a larger percentage of Hispanic supporters. But I'm still unclear how that makes the ‘Gang of Eight" immigration reform debacle worth my support. Because I think a better question to ask might be, why is it that any ‘new’ legislation is seen as being needed in the first place? Why can't we simply go back to simply enforcing those laws that we already have on the books? Wouldn't that make a whole lot more sense, and, be quite a bit cheaper as well? This really isn't rocket science. Is it?

Anyway, in a recent op-ed piece for the Wall Street Journal, Mr. Rove contends that even if the GOP were to win for itself a Reagan-type landslide among whites that would still not secure a victory, since whites now represent a significantly smaller share of U.S. electorate than they did back in 1984. "The upshot is that if Republicans hope to win the presidency in 2016, they need to do better with both white and Hispanic voters," he wrote. Ok, the fact is that while I don't argue with Mr. Rove's point here, but I do take exception to what he recommends that we now go about doing. That, I guess, we just go ahead and pass anything no matter how screwed up it is just to demonstrate to Hispanics that we feel their pain. How transparent would that look? Especially to Hispanics!

A GOP victory, or so Mr. Rove claims, would require a higher turnout of white voters, similar to the 2008 election; a 1 percent increase in the party's share of the white vote; and a "somewhat better" performance among Latinos, or roughly 35 percent. In 2012, our Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, got just 27 percent of the Hispanic vote. Rove said, "If the GOP leaves nonwhite voters to the Democrats, then its margins in safe congressional districts and red states will dwindle — not overnight, but over years and decades." Ok then, so where's the need for us rush headlong into bad immigration reform? And why is the only solution to the immigration 'problem', a 1000 page piece of legislation that is really nothing more than an ill-conceived, knee-jerk reaction?

Rove says that while GOP support for immigration reform would be a winning issue among Hispanics, Republicans also need compelling messages on the other top issues of the day. But in order for these 'compelling messages', to which Rove refers to, actually have any effect, you would first have the difficult, if not impossible, task of trying to convince Hispanics, and blacks, to understand that serious actions are now necessary if we are to successfully prevent ‘our’ country from going over the cliff. And personally, I just don't think that it matters all that much to them one way or the other if the country implodes or not, as long as they keep getting their checks, even if it's right up to the bitter end. Because that's really all that matters most to many of these people anyway.

So I guess, according to Rove, I'm simply expected to go along with this "Gang of Eight" monstrosity regardless of the fact that it is nothing more than an act blatant pandering. Sorry, but it just wouldn't be prudent to go along with what is essentially nothing more than an attempt to push through what is essentially, amnesty. Because, besides being so seriously flawed in so many obvious ways, being far too complicated and the fact that it does absolutely nothing to fix the growing problem of illegal immigration, it's still claimed to be just what we need to fix our current, and very broken, immigration system. If, as so many are saying, that reform is needed, why can't we sit down, and rationally discuss, like adults, what actually needs to be done and do it incrementally.

"Rarely does a political party overcome its challenges by improving just one thing. Republicans must do two things: turn out more white voters and improve their performance among Hispanics, African-Americans and Asian-Americans," Rove wrote. "The GOP has done both in every winning presidential campaign," he said. "The party of Lincoln, to win, must continue to do both." Ok, but what does that mean exactly, by saying that we must continue to do both. What all groups must first have in common is a desire to save the country, no matter what it takes. A task that gets much more difficult with practically each passing day. And yet, I fail to see any real sense of urgency coming out of the various minority communities, where it's seen as being more as a joke.

Look, I’ve argued this point until I'm practically blue in the face. I'm always told how it is that Hispanics, because of their more conservative values, are actually a natural fit for the Republican Party. Well if that were true, which I doubt, wouldn't you think that there would be a natural desire for them to affiliate with the Republican Party without much of anything ‘extra’ needing to be done to ‘entice them? Why not simply articulate how we, as conservatives, need to band together in an effort to address the growing problems that we now face us as a nation? And either they share our concern and our desire to come up with what are real solutions designed to protect their children's futures, or they don't. And if they don't, then I don't think that there’s a 'compelling message' that exists.

JUST NOT WILLING TO TRUST KARL ROVE…

Besides Dick Morris, another guy who doesn't have much credibility after the 2012 election, at least as far as I'm concerned, is Karl Rove. I remember watching him and his little whiteboard each every night that they were on Fox News telling us all what a blow out the election was going to be in favor of Mitt Romney. And like Morris, he could not have been more wrong. And so here we are now facing four more years of what is, most likely, the most corrupt administration in the history of our country. Americans had the opportunity to rid themselves of this thugocracy, but enough promises were made that ultimately persuaded them to stick with Barry.

Now, according to Rove, the three scandals that have hit the White House will enervate Democrats, strengthen Republicans, and put a damper on Barry "Almighty's" leftist legislative agenda. Well maybe, but that's only if enough of the American people care whether or not any of these scandals really matter. What remains most important to voters these days is whether or not their government checks keep arriving, the honesty of the politicians making sure that they do, seems to matter very little. There is today millions more Americans now on the government dole than there were just 4 years ago. And those Americans are not bothered in the least by these scandals.

Many are not even paying attention to the fact that the administration is under fire for its handling of the Benghazi, Libya, attack; the IRS targeting of conservative groups; and the Justice Department seizure of Associated Press reporters' phone records. Or to, potentially, yet another scandal that's brewing regarding the fact the EPA played favorites when it came to groups seeking information from the agency. Conservative groups have been routinely hindered by fees normally waived for media and watchdog groups, while fees for more than 90 percent of requests from green groups were waived. But do most people care? I would argue that they do not.

According to Rove who recently wrote in The Wall Street Journal, "The controversies are likely to demoralize Democrats who already are depressed by the collapse of Mr. Obama's gun-control package, the failure of his political manipulation of the budget sequester, and the quick death of his budget." He went on to say, "The controversies will also further stir up Republicans for the 2014 midterms, adding to their anger about spending, debt and Obamacare. Even before these firestorms, Republicans were getting keyed up." Well that all sounds well and good, more than Republicans are going to need to get "keyed" up if we are to have any hope of making gains in 2014.

And what of the president himself? Rove claims, "These three big controversies might also sap Mr. Obama's remaining strength." He goes on to further claim, "Swing voters who re-elected him in 2012 after punishing his party in 2010 clearly like the man. But evasive White House answers on Benghazi, the IRS' thuggish behavior, and the media's willingness to more aggressively challenge the White House could all undermine Mr. Obama's likability among this group." Well I suppose they "could" undermine Barry "likeability," but will they? These days, sadly, I simply don't think that any of what has occurred in any of these scandals is all that important to many people.

Many Americans have become far too complacent when it comes to the power their government is acquiring, for too willing to simply go with the flow and far too willing to accept the lies being told by their politicians. What remains most important to far too many is voting for the candidates who are in favor of increasing the entitlement programs that now one in five Americans are addicted to. Putting up with these scandals is considered as being nothing more than the price of keeping those entitlement programs growing. Many Americans, today, are only too happy to sell their vote to the highest bidder, which is, I think it safe to say, always the Democrat in the race.
