I can honestly say that if I had had the misfortune of
being the parent of one of those students recently shot at Umpqua Community
College, in Oregon, the VERY last person whom I would ever want to see would be
none other than Barry “Almighty”. And,
apparently, I may not the only one who might feel that way. I mean why would anyone willingly allow this
piece-of-shit-political opportunist to exploit the death of their child in an
effort to further his assault on our Constitution and our nation? Just how unscrupulous of an individual is
this man who we have as our president?
David Jaques is the publisher of the conservative
newspaper the Roseburg Beacon and he has said that he believes that Barry would
not be welcome to the town after making remarks politicizing the shooting that
left nine dead and another nine injured at Umpqua Community College on October
1. Jaques has said that he believes
officials of Douglas County would also not welcome Barry using the tragedy to
score political points for a gun control agenda. He said any visit by Barry would be “a
campaign stop for his agenda to take away American citizen’s right to own
firearms.”
Jaques also said that the region is justifiably
proud of Sheriff John Hanlin. It was in
speaking about the Sheriff that Mr. Jaques said, “Well, he is pro-Second
Amendment, Lee. And the fact is we’re very proud of our sheriff. He’s basically
put the administration on notice that if you pass any laws or edicts or
executive orders that are either unconstitutional or extra-constitutional; they
will not be enforced in Douglas County. And we’re proud of that. That’s the
kind of sheriff we elected overwhelmingly.”
Sounds like a man anyone would be proud to have as their Sheriff.
Mr. Jacques made the point about how Barry had said
that ‘people are going to accuse me of politicizing this event and frankly, it
needs politicizing.’ Jacques said, “And
so he said, in that speech, that ‘people are going to accuse me of politicizing
this event and frankly, it needs politicizing.’ So I think, he admitted it
himself. So his visit here isn’t a re-election campaign stop, but it is a
campaign stop nonetheless for an agenda that he and his associates believe is
important. And that is to take away Americans’ right to own firearms.”
Mr. Jacques said, “I think that’s very inappropriate
and I think it’s disrespectful to the families. The fact is, the president has
no connection with this community. He has no connection with any of the
families. And he made it abundantly clear, in his opening press statement just
– we haven’t even identified bodies. We’ve still got Incident Command trying to
contain the scene and he’s holding a press conference 3,000 miles from here
telling us that he, almost implying that he single-handedly could have
prevented this if the Congress would have listened to him.”
Mr. Jacques was critical of the president’s
statements: “And it shows, not only a
total disdain and disregard for our Constitution, but our very citizens. And
especially those of us right here in Douglas Country. We believe in the Second
Amendment. We believe in the whole Constitution.” I’d say Mr. Jacques presents a pretty
accurate assessment of our political opportunist of a president. And what’s really disgusting is how Barry
will come into town, trying to pretend that he somehow cares about those who
lost their lives, when he treats them as nothing more than props to be used.
