I always find myself getting more than a little
annoyed, even pissed off, whenever leftwing Democrats try to tell me how their
supposed immoral values are more acceptable than mine. So I was a little irked when I heard how,
while at a recent gathering held at a ritzy private residence in Los Angeles, Barry
made it clear that America must make a “fundamental decision” about its values.
Now when it comes to the topic of what the
values that I should hold as my own, the very last person I will be taking guidance
from is some soulless and perverted liberal who hates this country.
Now I agree with his point that this country must
make what Barry calls a “fundamental decision.”
American will need to decide if it will condone those activities that
liberals not only advocate, but enthusiastically support, as being the moral. Let’s face it, Democrats, nearly to a person,
are members of a political party which essentially favors, and has therefore played
a significant role in, the massive level of moral decay that has taken part in
this country over the last 30, or so, years.
If it weakens this country, morally, then most Democrats will fervently
support it!
The left in this country have long viewed those
values which have always been seen as being uniquely American values as being
discriminatory, prejudiced and above all else non-inclusive. And I think it obvious that Democrats in this
country, including Barry, have long had this rather perverted view of what values
should be seen as being acceptable. But when
you get right down to it, those things which Barry made reference to as ‘values’
can be defined less as being ‘values’ and more as being nothing more than regurgitations
of very liberal political positions on moral issues.
For instance, Barry went on to cite as an example of
what he meant the Supreme Court’s decision declaring same-sex marriage a
“right”--which he described as "one of the proudest things that we've been
able to achieve during the course of my presidency." Barry favors legalized abortion of unborn
babies right up to the moment of birth and as a state senator in Illinois
opposed legislation that would have defined a born baby who survived an
abortion as a “person,” “human being,” “child” and “individual” under Illinois
law. Are these the values that we can
all be proud of?
More recently Barry also went so far as to threaten
a veto of legislation to fund the federal government—and thus shut the
government down—if the legislation included language that prohibited federal
funds from going to Planned Parenthood. The very same Planned Parenthood which
harvests tissue from aborted babies and sells it at a profit. The same Planned Parenthood that according to
its most recent annual report aborted 327,653 babies in fiscal 2013 and that it
got $528.4 million in “government health services grants and reimbursements” in
the year that ended on June 30, 2014.
And its Barry who is also busy preparing to take the
Little Sisters of the Poor to the Supreme Court because the Little Sisters will
not participate in the implementation of an Obamacare regulation that requires
virtually all health-care plans to cover sterilizations, contraceptives, and
abortion-inducing drugs and devices. The Little Sisters, an order of Catholic
nuns that operates nursing homes for the elderly poor, have argued repeatedly
in federal court that it would violate their Catholic faith to obey the
administration's sterilization-contraception-abortiacient regulation.
Barry also said at this same event, “But part of it
also has to do with the fact that there is a fundamental decision we have to
make as a country in terms of our values--what do we believe, what do we care
about." He went on to say, “I
believe that this country works best not when we're only thinking about
ourselves but when we're thinking about others.” The hypocrisy of this statement is incredible. Most of the Democrats I know think about no
one but themselves and how much they get for ‘free’ from the government in
exchange for as little as possible in return.
Barry said, “I believe that America is best when we
treat everybody with fairness and respect, not just on the basis of whether
it's making sure that we're not discriminating because of race or gender, but
also that we're not discriminating against somebody because of who they
love.” Barry added, “And one of the
proudest things that we've been able to achieve during the course of my
presidency is marriage equality is now the law in all 50 states. Not just one
or two or three or five, but everywhere.” Barry lauded the people at this silly
little gathering for their commitment to “justice.”
And to those that Barry had around him at this gathering,
he said, “So the reason you're here is because you believe that everybody
should have a fair shot.” And he went on
to say, “You believe in justice; you believe in equality; you believe in
opportunity; you believe in diplomacy. You believe that America’s greatness is
measured not just by our skyscrapers and our GDP and how many billionaires we
have, but also how do we treat the vulnerable and the infirm and our aged, and
our poor and our hungry.” Actually what
they all believe in, is the dismantling of America.
So Barry is correct when he says a fundamental decision
needs to be made. And are Barry’s
values, the values held by most Americans?
Should they be? What we need to
do, as Americans, is to make it very clear that these supposed values possessed
by Barry and others on the left are really nothing short of absolutely disgusting. They are not American values, in fact I would
argue that they aren’t values at all. Barry is doing his best to try to guilt us
into making us doubt ourselves and our values.
We must allow him to separate us from our values as they pertain to things
like gay marriage and abortion.
