Man, you gotta hand it to Brain Williams, there
doesn’t seem to be any way you can really shame this guy. I think if I had been him and was busted for
lying I think I would have just slunk away somewhere and maybe taken a job in
the fast-food industry. But nope, not our
buddy Brian. However, I think it fair to
say that he did take a job at a ‘news’ network that is pretty much the
equivalent of working in the fast-food industry. Apparently Williams is now the ‘anchor’ of
something called “The 11th Hour’ on MSNBC and it was earlier this week that he
was arguing the point that President Trump’s criticisms of the media were
“Because when you reduce the media enough in prestige, they — when they do
report facts, those facts are diminished.”
Prestige? He can’t be serious,
can he? Talk about an over-inflated
sense of importance. Maybe if our douche
bag journalists were actually doing their job they’d be worthy of a bit more
respect.
Anyway, it was during a discussion on Trump’s press
conference earlier in the day that USA Today ‘Senior Politics Reporter’ Heidi
Przybyla stated, “[T]he press provided basically the most essential task that
the Founders intended for us to do, which was, we outed a public official, who
was lying to the public, about the nature of his contacts about what many would
define as a hostile foreign power. That is the most basic function of a free
press in this — in our society, and the president’s response to that was to
have a semi-meltdown, and to accuse us all of purveying fake news, when in
fact, his own actions, which were to fire General Flynn, proved that that news
was spot on. It was 100% accurate.”
Williams then added, “Because when you reduce the media enough in
prestige, they — when they do report facts, those facts are diminished.” Let’s face it, when was the last time anyone
in the media demonstrated any interest in reporting the facts?
Williams, as does so many of his ‘colleagues’ in the
business of proliferating propaganda, seems to confuse the difference between
reporting on actual facts versus knowingly reporting on what are nothing more
than lies, because it’s the latter that is more often than not the case
today. Williams would not know a fact if
it came up and bit him on the ass. And
by letting Williams stay on at MSNBC the network accomplishes nothing more than
to further even damage it’s already damaged reputation as a genuine ‘news’
organization and reinforces how it is that most Americans recognize it as a
network that peddles pure propaganda.
But then when you’re MSNBC just how much lower can you really go. Hell, when you’ve got the screwed up lineup
they’ve got over there, allowing a known and confirmed liar like Williams to
represent your brand is likely not even noticed. I mean they obviously aren’t all that
concerned about maintaining any level of credibility.
And let’s face it, despite all of their ‘whining’
when you get right down to it, President Trump has done absolutely nothing to
delegitimize our state-controlled media.
Hell, they’ve managed to do that all by themselves. There are literally scores of examples, going
back decades, where our supposed journalists have deliberately misrepresented
the facts in their effort to present what was nothing more than a bit of
propaganda referred to as, news. And the
purposely skewed coverage of the recent election is simply the most recent
example of such biased ‘reporting’.
‘Reporting’ that, I might add, was accentuated by the handing over of debate
questions to Hitlery, the personal messages to Hitlery from members of the
press and the numerous outright lies told on behalf of Hitlery. All which proves the state-controlled media
cannot to be trusted. And by pointing
these things out President Trump is merely exposing the media for the hacks that
they are.
That dishonest hacks like Brian Williams, Chris
Matthews, Lester Holt, Scott Pelley, or any number of others on what is now a
long list of many, are still treated as though they have any amount of
credibility even after being caught in lie after lie only serves to validate
what Trump has said about the current state of 'journalism' in this
country. It’s only because our media is
so corrupt that Brian Williams is treated seriously by his equally dishonest,
feckless peers in the industry. Why
should anyone be willing to buy what any of them are selling? Because what they’re selling is nothing more
than pure propaganda, or the Democrat Party talking points regarding the particular
issue of the day. It most certainly
isn’t news, and it most certainly isn’t information that then American people
can, in any way, consider as being useful.
And far from being the watchdog of government as was originally
intended, today it would seem that President Trump serves as watchdog over the
media.
Finally, what we are witnessing here, and essentially
have been ever since candidate Trump became President Trump, is the collective
and very emotional meltdown of a lost and defeated political ideology on its
last breath, adrift like a cork in the ocean bobbing aimlessly from rock to
rock with no plan, no direction, no clue and no leader. Like a filthy rat, the old dishonest
state-controlled media will cling to it until it finally drowns as it sinks
below the surface. In the meantime,
refusing to adjust to new realities, they lash out like petulant adolescent
children demanding respect while deserving none. They wallow in their vulgar
and unhinged hysteria; trapped in their echo chamber, telling each other how
clever and righteous they are and what rubes those are who disagree. Wearing their ignorance like a badge of honor
for all the world to see, these quixotic fools have learned nothing (and I mean
absolutely nothing) from their defeat in November 2016.
