COLIN KAEPERNICK, A LOSER ON SO MANY LEVELS…

Now I’ve never been a coach, or owned a football team, but I’ve always thought that the main focus of any serious football coach, or team owner, is to win the most games that you can, all in the hope of getting to the big one, The Super Bowl.  So if I were a coach, or an owner, why is it that I would want to, or should have to, sign a player who not only doesn’t increase my chances of winning more games, but actually DECREASES those chances.  What, if anything, makes any sense about that?  And of course what causes me to ask that question is none other than ex-NFL quarterback, and perpetual crybaby, Colin Kaepernick.

And now comes word that apparently Kaepernick has struck upon a new strategy for keeping himself in the news cycle.  He recently hired well-known, and particularly sleazy, celebrity lawyer, Mark Geragos and, together, they have filed a grievance alleging that all 32 NFL teams are now working together in a conspiracy, of sorts, to keep poor little Colin, out of professional football.  Now keep in mind here that Kaepernick was a second-string quarterback with the 49ers with a one-year option when he left and nobody has really wanted him since 2013.  His talent, or lack of, is the only thing that can be said to be conspiring against him.

So anyway, it’s according to this carefully crafted little ‘complaint’ that all 32 NFL teams “have colluded to deprive Mr. Kaepernick of employment rights in retaliation for Mr. Kaepernick's leadership and advocacy for equality and social justice and his bringing awareness to peculiar institutions still undermining racial equality in the United States,” which he knows because it is a “statistical impossibility” that he has not yet been hired by another NFL team barring some sort of a conspiracy.  And I guess it’s as long as Kaepernick and Geragos are slinging around blame, they thought it a good idea to aim some in President Trump's direction.

Because this ‘complaint’ also goes on to allege that it’s the “executive branch of the United States government” that is somehow behind this vast anti-Kaepernick conspiracy, which is a “response to coercion and calculated coordination from the Executive Branch of the United States government.”  So how is it, exactly, the fault of President Trump that Kaepernick does not possess the necessary skillset to be anything more than a pretty crappy quarterback?  Anyone else would have moved on by now, I mean no one plays the game forever.  Which would seem to indicate that this is about much more than just playing football.

Geragos also released a statement on Twitter, which read: “We can confirm that this morning we filed a grievance with the CBA on behalf of Colin Kaepernick. This was done only after pursuing every possible avenue with all NFL teams and their executives.

If the NFL (as well as all professional sports teams) is to remain a meritocracy, then principled and peaceful protest — which the owners themselves made great theater imitating weeks ago — should not be punished and athletes should not be denied employment based on partisan political provocation by the Executive Branch of our government," Geragos said. "Such a precedent threatens all patriotic Americans and harkens back to our darkest days as a nation. Protecting all athletes from such collusive conduct is what compelled Mr. Kaepernick to file his grievance.”

Geragos added, “Colin Kaepernick's goal has always been, and remains, to simply be treated fairly by the league he performed at the highest level for and to return to the football playing field.”

Look, I don't want to shock anyone here, because I know how many of you may actually think that Kapaernick is really a stand-up guy who’s only trying to do what he thinks is right (NOT), but it seems, at least to me, like that he’s in it more for the publicity than he is because he actually wants to get hired by a team.  And apparently he wants that publicity to be focused anywhere but on the fact that the problem lies in his lack of any possessing any actual talent.  If that means accusing the NFL of being part of a White House-led conspiracy, so be it.  Maybe he and Hitlery should work together on the blame book he is almost certain to write.

I think we can all agree that no one has a ‘right’ to a job.  Hell, if that were the case we could just walk into someplace like Trump Tower and demand some high dollar job and then when we were turned down we could then go out and hire some bigtime lawyer and sue those who dared to deny us the job that we thought we had a right to.  I’m sure Mr. Kapaernick, as well as his sleazy lawyer, realize that there is no sinister plot afoot here, the purpose of which is to keep him off the field, it’s all just a scam.   It’s the millions of patriots who no longer won't watch the NFL games who are the true conspirators here, Mr. Kapaernick.

Because you see, Mr. Kapaernick, it’s not the teams, it’s the American people who are sick of your juvenile antics.  And apparently there is a national boycott of the NFL now planned for Sunday, November 12th, Veterans Day Weekend.  We the people are being asked to boycott all professional football telecasts.  All fans, all season ticket holders are asked to stay away from attending any games, letting the NFL play to empty stadiums.  And it’s all in an effort to send a message that could not be more clear.  So ask all your friends and family to take part.  Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.

If Kaepernick wasn't such a pain in the ass he'd probably have a job, it really is just that simple.  He isn't worth all the drama he brings to the job.  That being said, a few more quarterback injuries and his phone just might actually start ringing.  So, the solution is apparently to sue the people you crapped on for not giving you a job.  What does he think is going to happen here?   He apparently has yet to learn that the world owes you nothing.  He thinks that people who think he's a turd still have to hire him because, why?  Sadly, the NFL has met its affirmative action quota for whiny activist malcontents who are also lousy players.

And you know, this guy is afflicted with pretty much the same mental disorder that afflicts those who are proud members of the Democrat Party.  Because he absolutely refuses to accept any level of responsibility for anything that has resulted in him being in his current unemployed status.  And making the claim that it’s somehow the fault of the 32 NFL teams or, even more bizarrely, that President Trump is somehow considered to be at fault, gives a new meaning to the phrase, “conspiracy nut”.  Nope, it’s Mr. Kapaernick, his high-powered lawyer notwithstanding, who has no one to blame but himself for his any of the troubles he is experiencing.
