OBAMA’S NUMBERS GO LOWER STILL…
Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think we’ve had a president in quite some time who, like Barry, was bothered so little by what the American people may think of him, or of how it is that he goes about doing that which he was elected to do. I don’t suppose it really matters all that much since we’re going to be stuck with him for the duration thanks to a gutless Congress. But in the bigger picture, his failing popularity could come to have an adverse effect on his fellow Democrats this November.
Now it’s obvious that Barry doesn’t really give a rat’s ass, and of that I’m quite sure, that his approval rating seems to have taken yet another big hit, sinking to what is another new low of 44 percent. Or at least that’s what a new Bloomberg News poll seems to tell us. Barry’s approval absorbed a significant hit on the recent Taliban prisoner swap for deserter Bowe Bergdahl and other issues, putting Barry's approval near what it was at the end of 2013 after the botched Obamacare rollout.
The poll which was conducted from June 6 to 9 found that in addition to the Bergdahl issue, respondents also disapprove of Barry's performance on the economy, by 57 percent; healthcare by 58 percent; the budget deficit, by 63 percent; on negotiating with House Republicans, by 55 percent; and the Veterans Affairs wait list scandal by 51 percent. Another 51 percent disapproved on the Bergdahl issue. But like I said, I doubt that any of this bothers him more than a cloudy day.
We’re told by J. Ann Selzer, the founder of Selzer & Co., the group that conducted the poll, that "In the past, Obama’s likeability has stayed ahead of perceptions of job performance." Ms. Selzer went on to say, "It appears he is no longer likeable enough." Oh no, tell me it isn’t so. Barry is no longer likeable enough? Personally I’ve never found the guy to be all that likeable in the first place. I’ve never been too fond of those who can look me right in the eye and lie to me the way that this guy does.
While we’re told that immigration was to be blamed for Eric ‘The RINO’ Cantor's stunning loss to challenger Dave Brat on Tuesday, immigration isn't the major issue on most people's minds, at least according to this poll. Only 6 percent of the poll's respondents said immigration reform is the most important issue facing the United States. Jobs topped the list, at 28 percent, followed by health care at 17 percent; declining incomes at 16 percent and the federal deficit, at 13 percent.
Meanwhile, 58 percent of the poll's 1,005 respondents said the United States is in decline as a world leader, but half of them still don't hold Barry at fault. Ok, so if it’s not Barry’s fault who is it, exactly, that is to blame, Bush? Who is it that’s in charge of our "Stupid is as Stupid Does" foreign policy? After all, there is a limit to how much blame we can assign to Hitlery and John Kerry-Heinz. Still, 46 percent of those polled did say Barry is weak and foreign leaders are challenging him.
One of those polled was some fella by the name of Pat Richardson of Simi Valley, California. And what he told Bloomberg was, "The president isn’t a military leader, he’s never served." Richardson went on to say, "I have a feeling he didn’t consult with anyone in the military before he decided to take this action, to release five extremely dangerous people, three of whom have said they’re going to come back at the U.S. already. To put them in luxury in Qatar? Please." He does have a point.
But where Barry scored his lowest numbers was on the federal deficit. Sixty-three percent disapproved of how the president is handling the deficit, and oddly enough, 33 percent actually approved of how he negotiates with the Republican-controlled House. Now since Barry has said, and on more occasions than I care to count, that he does not negotiate, I’d be curious to know how even 33 percent were able to find themselves agreeing with Barry’s rather unorthodox negotiation technique.
The truth is, Barry is always going to have his die-hard fans. Those, primarily in the black community, who, short of him being found guilty of murder, will stay by his side no matter what. Oh but wait a minute, Barry is guilty of murder. He purposely left those four guys in Benghazi to be killed. So I guess even being guilty of murder isn’t sufficient cause for certain folks to desert his side. So anyway here we are, stuck with this sorry-assed excuse for a president for nearly another 3 years.
