WHAT’S MISSING IN THE WORLD TODAY???

How is it, exactly, that any rational human being, regardless of their political affiliation, can look back over the course of just the last 6 years and say that the world in general, is in much better shape, and more at peace today than it was back then? Can anyone point to that one spot on the planet where things are going better today than they were back in 2008? I can’t, and I’ve tried only to come up empty.

And if we were to try a little comparative analysis, what is it that we’d likely find as missing today, that was not missing prior to the last 6 years? Personally, I think anyone who’s being honest with themselves will quickly come to the same conclusion that I did and should have very little, or no, difficulty spotting what it is that’s been missing and doing so right off the bat. And yet few choose to speak up.

What can we see as having been completely removed from the equation, the net result of which, is now a more unstable, more violent and more chaotic world? And what has always been the instrumental ingredient in accomplishing the opposite? Now it would seem to me that if I can see what it is that’s missing, then it can’t be that difficult for others to pick up on it as well. I think many are able to see it, but just don’t want to admit it.

I mean it seems pretty obvious to me. What I refer to as being that one ingredient vital to ensuring a somewhat stable world, is the American leadership that has been lacking for a number of years. It would seem to me that those responsible for making sure that America remains at the forefront, have been nothing if not AWOL. What we have seen is a purposeful attempt to increase, and not to keep in check, the level of chaos in the world.

And you know, try as I might, I simply can’t come up with a rationale for why anyone would chose to do such a thing. Other than, of course, because there’s something to be gained by allowing the world to deteriorate. And it seems to have now become the stated foreign policy goal of this nation to pull back from that which has been, for decades, the traditional role of America in maintaining some semblance of stability.

After all, just how much of a political low-life must one have to be in order to do nothing more than to simply sit back and watch, or play a few rounds of golf, as the world continues to spin so wildly out of control? What we’re seeing take place in the world today is what can be described as the ONLY natural outcome when America is made to vacate it’s historical leadership position in the world, leaving it to be filled by others far less civilized.
