In a move that I’m sure has him feeling much more at
home these day, liberal loudmouth Bob ‘Jabba the Hut’ Beckel, a former co-host
of "The Five" on Fox News, has now found a new home as he recently
returned to cable television. This time
around it be those who can stomach watching the Communist News Network (CNN)
who will be blessed by his presence. Let’s
face it, that’s a network which is far more likely to tolerate, and make
excuses for, his idiotic antics.
It was back in June that Fox News finally released the
blowhard, Beckel, after what had proven to be a rather controversial stint, to
say the least, on "The Five" where, among other things, he took
contrary positions, was caught flipping off another co-host and on multiple
occasions let fly with an F-bomb. In
other words, typical behavior for a brain-dead liberal. But as I said, it’s doubtful that such
behavior will cause him any problems there at CNN.
"The Five" had been rated No. 1 on basic
cable at 5 p.m. for June, and its ratings for the 25-54 age demographic was up
eight percent since Feb. 16, but Beckel had entered rehab therapy in April,
reportedly for an addiction to prescription pain medication, and his last appearance
on the show was Feb. 16. I very much
doubt that his absence had much of an impact on the show’s ratings, unless
there were many tuning in to see what stupid stunt he would pull this time.
It was Bill Shine, Fox's executive vice president of
programming, who said in a June statement announcing Beckel's departure that, "We
tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn't hold 'The Five' hostage to
one man's personal issues." And he
went on to say, "He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy
and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him." Very tactfully put, but his personal issues
should have come as a surprise to no one.
Of course Beckel seemed to be confused by it
all. It was in some idiotic Twitter post
that old Beckel said he was rather "baffled" about being released by
Fox. He said, “I just can't understand
the anger in Fox statement. I was healing from major back surgery i could not
walk, I took no advantage I got well.”
So like every other liberal you’ll ever meet the problems that they
encounter throughout their lives have absolutely nothing to do with them.
The topic of Beckel’s triumphant return to cable ‘news’
was, of course, (Donald) Trump, whom CNN could find any one of 856 contributors
and/or guests in the New York area to opine about. But instead it was Beckel who got the call –
or more likely – he pitched CNN on giving him a few at-bats. Beckel was likely
eager to show that he's clean, sober and ready to work again. But frankly he doesn’t make any more sense
off the drugs that he did while on the drugs.
Personally, I could never quite figure out the
rational for having Beckel on the network to begin with he simply didn’t fit. He seemed to be more like someone you tend to
see on MSNBC or CNN. So I can’t say that
I’m at all surprised to see that he has finally shown up on one to those two ‘news’
networks. Let’s face it, he no political
genius. His only claim to fame is that
he one engineered a political campaign that garnered for his candidate, the electoral
votes of the candidate’s home state.
