JOEY OR KAMALA, THE DEMOCRAT DILEMMA…

We’re continually being told how politically crafty the Democrats are. How they’re just so much smarter than the opposition. And yet it’s they who just might now find themselves in what’s a trick bag of their own making. First, they pick a guy as their candidate who was, at the very least, in the early stages of dementia, then they boldly cheat to get him into office and then four years later find out that they just might have saddled themselves with an albatross around their neck. A guy who now appears to be in the throes of full-blown dementia and who, at least for now, appears to be in no mood to walk away from the greatest gig of his life.

But that said, there does appear to be forces at work to convince him that for the good of the party, he needs to do exactly that. And what’s truly scary about this little scenario is that if he does in fact decide to step down, the odds-on favorite among many of the party faithful to replace him is none other than his vice president, Kamala ‘Headboard’ Harris. One of those currently making such a prediction is none other than Howard Dean. I know, when was it that Dean came back from the dead? No one cares what he says, and yet he’s continually dredged up to provide an opinion that makes absolutely zero sense. But leave it to Andy Cooper to give it another go.

And it was during another appearance on CNN this past Wednesday, this time on “Anderson Cooper 360,” that Dean, relying on his great skills as political prognosticator, made the prediction that if *president Joey B. were to drop out of the race it’s already “cooked” into the process that ‘Headboard’ Harris will be the default Democrat nominee. Guest host Jim Sciutto said, “Joining The New York Times, The Boston Globe editorial board. They wrote today that President Biden should step aside and in their statement, they went on to make the case that having an open primary convention at this point would be exciting for the Democratic Party."

Dean said, “I don’t read those editorials. And with all due respect, they’re very smart people writing them who have no experience and what it’s like to be in an elected official. So the hell with the editorials, learned people but they might as well be teaching philosophy someplace.” He continued, “So there’s not going to be chaos at the convention if Biden doesn’t run, and this is totally his decision, it’s going to be Harris. That’s just the way it is. It turns out she polls better than everybody else anyway. So it’s just as well but there’s not going to be a big fight of the convention.” I cannot believe the Democrats would be that dumb. Wait, actually I can.

And he said, “There will be a few people like Dean Phillips who put his name in and got what he deserved but it’s going to be cooked.” Dean added, “There’s some financial reasons for this. Harris is a signatory to the Biden-Harris campaign so the money can go to her. It can’t really go to whoever else might end up in front. There’s just not going to be a bloodbath. There’s not enough time for there to be a bloodbath. There isn’t a single candidate other than Harris who can muster the organizational ability to run a presidential campaign because she’s already got that ability, because she’s been in running in this campaign for months."

Yup, by golly, old ‘Headboard’ was born to lead the Democrats, if for no other reason than she is corrupt, clearly brainless and pretty much unqualified for any other position. If this happens, how many voters are going to go into orgasmic glee that they now get their chance to vote for Kamala and to finally finish off America once and for all? What a horrible thing to clutter up the passage of time with, as time passes sideways, and clocks pass their time gritting their teeth, again! But…while the Democrat Party may not want the senile old guy, lacking Dean’s skill as a prognosticator, I’m not all certain that Harris should, or will be, their go to candidate.

And again, while I am certainly not the political expert that Dean is, whether its Joey B. or ‘Headboard’ running for president, it really doesn’t matter anymore, as the Democrats are essentially dead in the water, at this point.  She won’t be the nominee because even the Democrats realize that she’s a brainless empty suite that couldn’t organize and lead a gay parade single file. Either way the Democrats lose. Joey B. has dementia and old ‘Headboard’ is about as popular as a turd in a punch bowl. Neither one of them are capable of defeating President Trump in a fair election. If the best they have to offer is Harris, then no wonder the Democrats are in a panic.

Look, the only way this thing ends up with ‘Headboard’ being the candidate, is money. Clearly, they don’t want her but the money goes to her if Joey drops out, so they’re stuck, they have to prop her up. Granted there will be those Democrat voters who will not take kindly to them replacing Harris with a white person. So it would seem they’re in a pickle, or the afore mentioned trick bag, and frankly I couldn’t care less. Plus, there are states where it may already be too late to replace Biden/Harris on the ballot and situation only becomes worse the longer they wait. One battleground state has already reached that deadline. So what are the poor Democrats to do?

You insane leftists have had your shot at governing America and you blew it big time. If there's any common sense left in this country you’ll never hold power again. Joey or Kamala, doesn’t matter. They’re both incompetent losers and easily beatable. Better to have them both on the ticket, as it appears it will be, and toss them at the same time. The Democrats have got no one. It is well past time for them to be voted permanently out of existence and into the history books. At this point in our history the only thing they have going for them is the stupidity of the American voter. And if they dump Harris the left loses the black woman vote, the dumbest demographic.

I must admit, not being a Democrat myself, this entire scenario gets funnier and funnier every day. And as hard as it might be to believe, old ‘Headboard’ talks just as nonsensical, if not more so, than does brain dead Joey. And then there’s that idiotic kackling. Dumb followed by “dumber?” God help our Republic. But would enough people actually vote for this bitch strictly out of their hatred of President Trump? And if that is in fact the case then, as much as it pains me to say it, I’m afraid that there may not much left of this country that’s worth salvaging. If only we had enough people willing to put the survival of country ahead of themselves.

KEEPIN’ MY FINGERS CROSSED…

So here we are now with the election finally behind us. And I wonder how many of you out there are, like me, hoping for the best, but at the same time fearing the worst. The truth is I simply could not stay home on Election Day, just as I couldn’t bring myself to vote for a Democrat. So I did the only thing that would allow me to get any sleep at night, I voted straight Republican. While doing so, I must admit, there was a little voice in my head warning me.

And then, I think, it was just yesterday that I was reading somewhere that Paul Ryan vowed that he had enough Republican support to get immigration reform done. And I couldn’t help but wonder what it was that he might have meant by "enough Republicans". Did he mean that there are now enough Republicans willing to stand with ALL of the Democrats so that amnesty could be pushed through Congress in much the same manner that Obamacare was?

Since the morning after the night before I’ve been hearing all manner of grandiose plans coming from those who will comprise our newly minted Senate majority as well as our expanded majority in the House. Some of which have been more than a bit disconcerting, and much of which I can’t help but wonder if it is nothing more than just a lot of talk. We will be required to keep a very close eye on those whom we just elected, they are not to be trusted.

SO NOW WHAT LIES AHEAD???

So here we are on what could very well be, if we are lucky, the verge of what can hopefully be considered as being the next step in our journey to take our country back. Let’s hope that we are able to make it farther along than we were able to after taking that first step back in 2010. And of course if we are able to achieve significant forward movement, then the final step in the process of rescuing our country will be the presidential election in 2016.

But at this particular moment in time there is a great amount of uncertainty in what lies ahead. While it is very welcome news that the Republicans were able to gain complete control of Congress last night, we the people would be nothing but foolhardy if we were to simply allow these same folks to go to Washington without being closely unsupervised. They must be made aware of the fact that our trust cannot be assumed, it must be earned.

Now while it would be nice if we could simply assume that all of these folks could be allowed to run on autopilot, as it were, but to do so would be quite naïve. While I mean no disrespect to our newly elected, and re-elected, leaders, these people will bear watching to make certain that when they finally do arrive there in Washington they are there to conduct only the people’s business, and that promises that were made turn into promises that are kept.

The Republicans have been presented with what is nothing short of a golden opportunity. The voters have shown that they are willing to take a risk on the Republicans. And now we must hope that those who we have elected, and re-elected, will be up to the challenge that lies ahead. And those who have now been entrusted with the task of getting this country back on an even keel must also realize that no second chance will be forthcoming.

And one word of warning involves the lame duck session that now lies in wait because it just might prove itself to be little more than the equivalent of a political minefield. Because we do not know just how much destruction the Democrats will attempt to inflict as many of them now are made to head toward the door. And since our re-enforcements will not yet have arrived, will our current forces possess sufficient courage to fend off any potential Democrat assault?

TALKING ABOUT THE ELECTION, WHILE NOT TALKING ABOUT IT…

In coming up with a topic for this post, I wanted to discuss something other than tomorrow’s election, while at the same time wanting to stress just how important this election really is. So I struck upon the topic of ‘climate change’. And since it is something that nearly all Democrats support, more for political reasons than out of any genuine concern for the planet, and most Republicans oppose, how policies meant to deal with it are created can be said to be directly related to the outcome of this election. And that’s one more reason to vote against Barry by defeating congressional Democrats.

Adding some sense of urgency in putting a stop to all of this ‘climate change’ nonsense was something that happened just yesterday. For the first time ever, the U.N-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says the use of fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas – will need to be "phased out almost entirely" by the end of the century. The IPCC’s latest report warns of "severe, pervasive and irreversible impacts for people and ecosystems," if action is not taken to reduce emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gases (GHGs) globally – with a target of zero by 2100.

The IPCC declares "with greater certainty" than four other major assessments released since 1990, that human actions – "emissions of greenhouse gases and other anthropogenic drivers" – are chiefly responsible for global warming measured since the middle of the 20th century. This cockamamie report states, "In recent decades, changes in climate have caused impacts on natural and human systems on all continents and across the oceans." And it should come as no surprise that John Kerry-Heinz embraced its findings, warning that the planet cannot afford skepticism or complacency.

And it was on the very same day that we also heard from John Coleman, a founder of the Weather Channel, who appeared on CNN Sunday to reiterate his stance that "climate change is not happening." Describing himself as a "skeptic," not a denier – "that is a word meant to put me down" – the veteran weather forecaster told CNN’s "Reliable Sources" that the news network was promoting an inaccurate view on the issue. He said, "CNN has taken a very strong position on global warming, that it is a consensus." He added, "Well, there is no consensus in science. Science isn’t a vote, science is about facts."

He went on to say, "And if you get down to the hard, cold facts, there’s no question about it: Climate change is not happening, there is no significant, man-made global warming now, there hasn’t been any in the past, and there’s no reason to expect any in the future. There’s a whole lot of baloney." Coleman said climate change has become part of the Democratic Party platform, adding that he regretted that the issue has become "political instead of scientific." He declared, "But the science is on my side." And he is absolutely right! Science is on his side, and it’s only politics that’s on the side of those pushing this nonsense.

Challenged on the assertion that "97 percent of climate scientists" are in agreement on the issue, Coleman charged that the figure was "manipulated." Since the government only funds scientists who put out results "supporting the global warming hypothesis," he claimed, "they don’t have any choice." He went on to say, "If you’re going to get the money, you’ve got to support their position. Therefore 97 percent of the scientific reports published support global warming. Why? Because those are the ones the government pays for and that’s where the money is." He’s right!

Weather Channel CEO David Kenny also appeared on the show, and distanced himself from Coleman’s views. He said, "We’re grateful that he got it [the channel] started 32 years ago, but he hasn’t been with us in 31 years, so he’s not really speaking for the Weather Channel in any way today." Kenny went on to say, "Our position is really clear, it’s scientifically-based and we’ve been unwavering on it for quite some time now." Last week the Weather Channel reissued a 2007 statement giving its position on climate change. A statement that proves it’s more interest in politics than the environment.

It was this idiotic statement from 2007 that said, "More than a century’s worth of detailed climate observations shows a sharp increase in both carbon dioxide and temperature." It went on to say, "These observations, together with computer model simulations and historical climate reconstructions from ice cores, ocean sediments and tree rings all provide strong evidence that the majority of the warming over the past century is a result of human activities. This is also the conclusion drawn, nearly unanimously, by climate scientists." This is essentially nothing more than another bit of propaganda.

What we have here is a continuing, and very focused, propaganda campaign the sole purpose of which is to convince those of us who are accused of being "Flat Earthers". Let’s not forget that many of those who are, today, sounding the global warming alarm bells, are many of the very same ones who, back in the 70’s, were telling us that by this time we’d be experiencing what was then described as being the next ice age. But when that didn’t pan out for them, it was first ‘global warming’, then ‘climate change’ and now ‘climate disruption’ that became the new battle cry of the left.

A WHITE HOUSE IN THE ‘TWILIGHT ZONE’???

Believe it or not, but as we get closer to the election and in anticipation of the Democrats losing control of the Senate, White House officials have now begun to imply that if only Democrats would have tied themselves more closely to Barry “Almighty” they would not now find themselves in their current predicament. But according to the National Journal such a notion is nothing short of "pure delusion."  But is it a simple matter of being delusional or is it choosing to live in denial?

Josh Kraushaar, political editor of the National Journal wrote, "Obama is the main reason Republicans are well-positioned to win control of the upper chamber next Tuesday. And Democrats' biggest strategic mistake in this election is that most candidates didn't run away far and fast enough."  And with that statement Mr. Kraushaar succeeded in hitting the nail on the head.  But with it being known that many of these folks supported Barry 90 percent of the time, I’m not sure how far they could have run.

Kraushaar writes, "Given the president's rock-bottom approval numbers in the many Republican-friendly Senate states that Democrats needed to win — as well as the reality of a worsening political environment for the party as early as last winter — that distance was a downright necessity. But a host of Senate candidates failed to create it, and the party is likely to pay the price in Senate seats."  So while the fate of the Democrat majority remains uncertain, they could have made things easier for themselves.

The Journal also points out, "To be sure, in a nationalized election, even those who break from an unpopular president often fall victim to his political problems. The biggest victims in the 2010 wave election were House Democrats in conservative districts, most of whom voted against the president's healthcare law. Their opposition did little to help them. But in Senate races, where candidates' personal brands play a bigger role, there's more opportunity to create space."  And yet, few chose to do so.

And as the Journal points out, "This year's midterms are shaping up to be a referendum on President Obama's management, giving anxious voters an opportunity to express their frustration about everything from the president's handling of healthcare, growing terrorism threats, an Ebola scare, and a broken immigration system, among others."  But having said that, how surprised should voters really be that this ‘community agitator’ with no real experience has managed to muck things up so badly?

And it concludes by saying, "Democrats should have recognized that the president was falling out of favor with the public and inoculated themselves a long time ago. Instead, many bought the White House's spin, and are at risk of going down with a sinking ship.”  These candidates are now victims of having drank the same ‘Kool Aid’ that so many of their constituents once were only too eager to swill down, and in mass quantities, only to find out later that there was something not quite right about it.

In looking back to January 20, 2009, I’m quite sure that Democrats never imagined they would be in the position that they now find themselves in today.  Barry was to be the harbinger of 20 years of solid Democrat rule.  He was, after all, the ‘One’ whom we had all been waiting for.  But the Democrats got a little too greedy, and now they just might be made to pay a pretty stiff price.  And while the level to which they’ll be made to pay is still to be determined, there’s no doubt that a price will be paid.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT FROM A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS???

As I have said before, and on more than one occasion, should the Republican Party successfully avoid what has become their standard practice of ever so skillfully snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and actually end up being fortunate enough to gain for themselves complete control of Congress, their window of opportunity to demonstrate to the American people that they’re doing so was worth the risk, will be a very narrow one.

And so it is then that these days I find myself in the rather unusual position of actually agreeing with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy recently warned that the GOP must make "radical changes" in the next two years if it does in fact succeed in taking control of the House and the Senate as a result of the midterm elections. It’s either that, he says, or the party will lose the 2016 presidential race. He’s correct in his assessment.

It was while speaking to a group of donors that McCarthy was heard to say, "I do know this, if we don’t capture the House stronger, and the Senate, and prove we could govern, there won’t be a Republican president in 2016." McCarthy’s plan is to build bridges with Republican senators so that they can reach the voters with one voice, and he’s already been talking to South Dakota Sen. John Thune about strengthening ties between the two chambers.

It’s been through a series of interviews that McCarthy has said, "My belief is you have one chance to make a first impression." He has also said, "From the very first day after the election, we should be laying out to the American public what the expectations are. Why make two different agendas?" Now while what he says does make a great deal of sense, it’s a very rare occasion when you see the actions of Republicans matching up with the rhetoric.

McCarthy says that there’s a "75 percent" chance the GOP will take the Senate, while noting that it the Democrats maintain control of the upper chamber it will be a tough time for him personally and the public. He said, "If it stays Democratic, it’s going to be a frustrating time." McCarthy may be overstating his party’s chances a bit, but he’s right about the consequences to be faced if the Democrats are able to maintain their control of the Senate.

The thing is, the task that McCarthy has set for himself and his party will not be an easy one, because it’s a sure thing that the Democrats will begin to construct every type of roadblock imaginable right after it becomes official that ‘Dingy Harry’ is out of his job. And if the Republicans hope to meet with any amount of success over the course of the next two years, then they will need to grow both a spine and a rather sizeable pair of cojones. Otherwise, what we’re hearing from McCarthy will amount to little more than just words.

JUST WHEN THEY THINK THEY’VE LEFT HIM BEHIND, OBAMA PULLS DEMOCRATS RIGHT BACK TO HIM…

Now I freely admit that I am nowhere near to being the political genius that, say a, Bob Beckel is. But still, having said that, I gotta tell ya that if I was running the campaign of any Republican now running for the Senate this year, I would not hesitate for a second to use the most recent sound bite that was kindly furnished by Barry "Almighty" himself. And I would use it at every opportunity I could.

Because as hard as these scumbag Democrats who are now either running for re-election, or challenging Republican incumbents, in next month's midterm elections, have been working to put some distance between themselves and Barry, what Barry managed to do with just one interview was to make it very clear that not only do they have his full support, but he, apparently, also still has their full support as well.

Barry went so far as to tell everyone’s faux reverend, and his go-to-guy on all things having to do with race, Al ‘Bull Horn’ Sharpton on MSNBC, "This isn't about my feelings being hurt." Barry then went on to say, "These are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me, and I tell them, 'you know what, you do what you need to do to win. I will be responsible for making sure that our voters turn out.'"

Barry declared that those Democrats in tightly-contested races are on his side. Barry said, "We've got a tough map. A lot of the states that are contested this time are states that I didn't win." And he went on to say, "And so some of the candidates there, it is difficult for them to have me in the state because the Republicans will use that to try to fan Republican turnout." Right, it’s all the fault of the Republicans.

And then, and in what I’m sure was music to the ears of these Democrats so eager to disavow him, Barry said, "The bottom line is, though, these are all folks who vote with me; they have supported my agenda in Congress, they are on the right side of minimum wage, they are on the right side of fair pay, they are on the right side of rebuilding our infrastructure, they're on the right side of early childhood education."

Several Democrats, I think we’re up to at least four by now, in races said to be key, this November, have now actually gone so far as to refuse to reveal who they voted for in the past two presidential elections. And others seem to be going out of their way to make the point that Barry's assistance is neither sought or desired, especially with his approval rating now down below the 40 percent mark, the lowest of his presidency.

Republicans need to capture six additional Senate seats to take control of the chamber. There are 10 races that could swing either way or are leaning toward one party in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. Most ‘experts’ are predicting enough Republican victories on Nov. 4 for the party to win over control of the Senate.

There have been several recent polls showing that a majority of the American people are quite unhappy with how Barry has handled, and continues to handle, pretty much everything from the economy and race relations to the crisis in the Middle East and the Ebola scare. Combined with the disaster that Obamacare has proven itself to be, and you quickly see why it is that the Democrats have been trying so hard to distance themselves from Barry.

OBAMA THE ALBATROSS???

Well it would seem that we have a rather bizarre little trend developing here as we edge closer to the all-important, and some would say crucial, midterm elections. One that I’m not quite sure that I’ve ever witnessed before, even on the Democrat side of things. You see, Barry "Almighty", you know, the ‘One’ who we were all told was the one whom we had all been waiting for, is now being avoided by members of his own party as if he had suddenly become infected with the Ebola virus.

And so it is then that as the election grows nearer, the list of those Democrats now running for election, or re-election, who seem to be in no hurry to admit that they actually voted for Barry, seems to be growing. The most recent addition to the list is Mark Begich, Democrat from Alaska, who’s one of those running for re-election. Now I’m quite sure that we can all very safely assume that all of these folks did vote for Barry, so their denials seem to be little more than a little pointless. Although, they do make for some great ads.

Begich is joined, in this growing chorus of voices, by his fellow Senate candidate from West Virginia and Democrat, Natalie Tennant. Ms. Tennant would not mention Barry by name when asked whom it was that she chose to vote for in the previous election. And two other Democrat Senate candidates, Alison Lundergan Grimes of Kentucky and Michelle Nunn of Georgia, have also since refused to answer questions about whom they supported when Barry "Almighty", unpopular in all their states, was on the ballot.

Citing Grimes’s mishaps, the Charleston Daily Mail editorial board asked during a candidates’ forum whether the candidates would be willing to say whom they last supported for president in the last election. Republican Shelley Moore Capito and the Libertarian, Constitution, and Mountain party candidates seemed on to happy to volunteer the information, with both responding with their respective party’s presidential nominee. Grime’s, on the other hand, simply refused to say who she voted for.

Tennant, was another who chose to take the coward’s way out. All she would say was that she had "voted for the Democratic party" before immediately launching into what she said were her objections to the president and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Gina McCarthy. She then proceeded to go into what was nothing more than a long explanation that evolved into a stump speech about how she will stand up for West Virginians regardless of party. And I’m sure she can be trusted to do just that. NOT!

But it’s not only Barry’s rather questionable ‘reputation’ that seems to be having many of those in his party hightailing it in the opposite direction. Barry’s also been struggling to convince members of his party, and who are running for election in 2014, to come to his side in support of Obamacare, his signature ‘achievement’, a term I use very loosely. In fact it’s a growing list of Democrats, of late, who have been seen trying very hard to distance themselves from Barry's takeover of the nation's healthcare system.

Barry has been telling Democrats that they shouldn't apologize for being on board the Obamacare bandwagon and but instead tells them that they should be proud of the law. Now that would be the very same law that they essentially snuck through the dark of night using every political shenanigan in the book. And, or so he claims, "there is a strong, good, right story to tell." But members of his party running for election or re-election seem not to be so eager to jump on Barry’s bandwagon.

And, it was as far back as November 2013 that we had a group of incumbent Democrats looking to launch re-election campaigns meet with the administration to discuss the disastrous rollout of Obamacare. But things have not improved all that much since then. Democrats are still running away from this brilliant piece of legislation, and Barry’s namesake, Obamacare, in increasing numbers. Of course, once we’re past the election they will once again become very enthusiastic supporters of this very bad law.

The list of Democrat candidates who seem to be working very hard to distance themselves from the Obamacare debacle seems to be growing on nearly a daily basis and will most likely continue to do so right up to Election Day. Democratic candidate for Senate, Michelle Nunn of Georgia, was asked if she would have voted for Obamacare said say it would be "impossible" to say what she'd have done if she were in Congress when the Obamacare vote was held. REALLY? I’m sure that that’s what she would like everyone to think.

Democrat candidate for the Senate from West Virginia, Natalie Tennant, is attempting to distance herself from the administration on a whole host of issues. And rather than talk about anything even remotely has anything to do with Obamacare she would much rather tout her supposed support of coal. And then we have Kentucky Democrat Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes who was ‘for’ coal before she was against coal before she was said to be ‘for’ it again.

Nebraska Democrat and candidate for the U.S. House, Pete Festersen, has also refused to answer whether he supports Obamacare. Staci Appel, an Iowa Democrat, also refused to answer Obamacare questions recently. Another Iowan and current member of the U.S. House, Democrat Senate candidate Bruce Braley, is also pulling against Obamacare. Braley just voted with Republicans on a bill to put a crimp in the law. Michigan's Gary Peters also voted with the Republicans and Rep. Braley on the same bill.

And then there was a recent article in The Hill that detailed how several Democrats up for reelection are trying to squirm away from Obamacare, so the number of nervous Democrats continues to mount. For instance, Rep. Gerry Connolly, from Virginia, recently told The Hill that he is hearing a lot of grumbling in the ranks. He said, "A lot of members are very concerned" over the multiple failures of Obamacare. He went on to say, "This is a swelling chorus."

Kay Hagan, North Carolina, recently wrote a letter stating that the problems in Obamacare "are simply unacceptable, and Americans deserve answers and swift solutions." Embattled Mary Landrieu, Louisiana, has even launched a TV ad criticizing Barry over his "lie of the year" claim that if we liked our insurance plans we could keep them. "What I’ve said to the President is, 'You told them that they could keep it,'" Landrieu said in the ad. "This is a promise that you made. This is a promise that you should keep," she added.

Mark Begich, from Alaska, recently said that he has "been frustrated from the beginning." In a letter to constituents last November, Begich said, "It is simply unacceptable for Alaskans to bear the brunt of the administration’s mismanagement of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, and that is the message U.S. Senator Mark Begich delivered to President Obama today." This year Begich also criticized the administration for less signups than there could have been.

And then there’s Senator Mark Pryor, from Arkanas, who recently tried to distance himself, not only from Obamacare, but from a number of Barry's policies. He said, "I've always said that I'll work with the President when I think he's right but oppose him when I think he's wrong. I'll continue to oppose his agenda when it's bad for Arkansas and our country." Well apparently he thinks Barry is only wrong about 6 percent of the time, because he’s supported Barry about 94 percent of the time.

Montana Senator John Walsh made sure that his constituents knew that he did not vote for Obamacare. "I was preparing soldiers and airmen to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. So I did not vote on the Affordable Care Act--just want to make that clear," Walsh said at a candidates' forum. In May, Walsh said that the "jury is still out" on Obamacare and pointed out that "the intent was to bring healthcare costs down and provide health care for all of our citizens. As of today, we’re not seeing that."

When it comes to Obamacare most of the recent news coming out lately is definitely not good news for the American people. It has now become pretty much common knowledge that rates for 2015 will be going to go up by double digits. So why should we be surprised when these Democrats refuse to defend that which the rest of view as being indefensible. So rather than defend it, they hope to distract us by talking about such things as raising the minimum wage and the ‘war on women.’ But it’s all nothing but smoke and mirrors.

And as far as Barry, himself, is concerned, as president he has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster for both the American people, as well as the country as a whole, and in every conceivable way; socially, morally, financially, militarily, economically and internationally. There is nowhere one can look and say that he has done what could in any way be called a good job. But having said that, for what’s it worth, I think we can say that he has been relatively successful in his effort to "fundamentally transform" America.

WHAT AWAITS US BEYOND THE NEXT ELECTION???

So, let’s just say for the sake of argument that the Republicans end up with control of the Senate after the midterm elections. Then what? Will the leadership that we presently have, and most likely will still have when the next Congress begins the new session, have the wisdom, the skill, the forthrightness and the courage, to do what we all know must be done if there is to be any hope of saving the Republic?

I wish I could say, and with some level of confidence that, yes, they will! But the sad fact is that if recent history provides us with any sort of an example, I’m afraid that that is very unlikely. I hate to sound like a pessimist here, as I do pride myself on being somewhat of a ‘glass is half full’ kind of guy, I also pride myself on being a realist. And try as I might, I’m just not sure if things will be different.

So why, then, even bother handing over to the Republicans the complete control of Congress? Well, if for no other reason than to acquire for myself a certain amount of satisfaction from having poked my finger into the eye of Barry ‘O’. And because maybe, just maybe, the Republicans will come through for us, the American people, and the country. That from somewhere will come the necessary courage to act.

And if they don’t, well then, I think even they realize that come 2016 they’re done. As I have said before, the Republicans will be provided with only the very briefest window of opportunity to make the substantive changes that we all know must be made. The free-reign that Barry has had since first coming into office must now come under much closer scrutiny. Things cannot continue as they have.

So, we wait and see. Not only to see who comes out on top in this next election, but to see, if we do gain control of the Senate, what is it that will come next? I’d like to think that the next two years would be spent proving just how much more benevolent, and supportive, conservatism is than is liberalism. Or, on building a foundation upon which Republican candidates for president, whoever they might be, could actually run in 2016.

ABOUT 2014…I AM CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC…

While I do think that it is far too early to start celebrating, I am, at least, beginning to think that the Republicans just might be able to gain a sufficient number of seats in the Senate to finally remove ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid from his current majority leader position. And my increasing level of confidence has much less to so with Karl Rove and his supposed prophetic little ‘white board’ that proved itself pretty useless in 2012, than it does with Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.

Because it’s now Mr. Sabato who says that the Republicans have a "strong and increasing chance to control the next Senate," in projecting that the GOP could take up to eight seats on Nov. 4. Sabato writes in his latest "Crystal Ball" analysis that, "Our projection remains a five-to-eight seat Republican gain in the Senate, and with less than three weeks to go we would much rather be holding the cards Republicans have been dealt versus the ones dealt to the Democrats as both sides play for a Senate majority."

There are several "unusual and even a few bizarre features on the landscape," Sabato goes on to say, pointing out that the midterm election is "a classic sixth-year itch election" that will see the incumbent president's party lose seats in both the House and Senate. But he also says, "We're just arguing about exactly how many." And then adds, "Overall, it is indisputable that Republicans will have more critical victories to celebrate than Democrats when all the ballots are counted." So as I say, I remain cautiously optimistic.

But there is also now something that has become the generally accepted opinion that as Americans become more dissatisfied with Barry "Almighty’s" handling of thing, it’s increasingly possible that their opinions could show up in the ballot box and tilt the scales even more in the direction of the GOP. Barry is garnering some of the lowest approval ratings of his supposed career, with a new ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday showing that just 40 percent of respondents approve of how he is doing his job.

The poll showed that Barry's public support is dropping rather precipitously and that that drop has at least something to do with how he is handling, or mishandling, the Islamic State (ISIS) threat. At the end of September, 50 percent of the public approved of his actions against ISIS, but Wednesday's poll shows that it’s now only 35 percent who now approve. Republicans have also been criticizing, and rightly so, Barry's rather piss-poor response to the growing Ebola crisis, saying that he has been too slow to protect the public.

Still, Sabato said that at least in a few states the Democrats are holding tight in Republican territory, when observers, at least initially thought the Republican candidates would win pretty handily. In some states, such as Alaska, Georgia, Kansas, and South Dakota, the races are deemed as toss-ups, and some, like in Georgia, could end in a runoff vote, delaying the decision about which party will end up with control of the Senate. So as I said, we shouldn’t be counting our chickens just yet. And may not be able to do so until January.

Part of the issue, at least according to Mr. Sabato, has to so with the fact that supposed ‘Independent’ candidates are competing in places where Democrats "would have a devil of a time winning." However, he does go on to note that party loyalty will probably win out in the end. Lest we forget, Democrats only need 50 seats to maintain what Sabato termed a "Biden majority" in the Senate, as the vice-president votes to break ties, but Republicans need 51 seats, and it’s just a few weeks that remain until the election.

Overall, said Sabato, "it's not impossible to imagine the GOP having a good enough night that they get to 51 seats without Georgia or Louisiana." Meanwhile, Sabato does not predict large changes in his predictions for the House. Lately, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee has canceled ad spending in some Republican-held districts they'd hoped to win, allocating the money to other races seen as highly competitive or tossups. So we’ll have to wait and see if that turns out to have been the right move.

And as Democrats are focusing on protecting their incumbents rather than going after Republican seats, "that gives us further confidence that the Republicans will in fact add more seats to their majority, but probably not significantly more," said Sabato. "Our outlook remains a six-to-nine seat Republican net gain." Overall, Crystal Ball lists 232 races as leaning Republican, 189 Democrat, and 14 as tossups or leans. Of the latter 14, three are held by Republicans and 11 by Democrats.

So I would hope most of us who are now tired of watching what it is that Barry, ‘Dingy Harry’ and old ‘Botox Nancy’ are doing to this country will go out and vote for whatever Republican it is that we have the opportunity to vote for. We need to ignore the silly third party candidates running and be able to recognize that most of those who are running under the guise of being an ‘Independent’ are really nothing more than Democrats who think they fool us into voting for them. We can ill afford to fall for such blatant political trickery. The stakes are just too high!

JUST SOME THOUGHTS ON THE COMING MIDTERMS…

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves when it comes to the Republicans gaining control of the Senate and possibly to even increase its number in the House, we may need to remind ourselves that it’s all for nothing if those whom we elect can’t bring themselves to look at what so obviously is the bigger picture. And that bigger picture is, of course, doing all that we can to make sure that we put ourselves in the best possible position to then be able to win the White House in 2016.

Because without that, 2014 will end up being not much more than a speed bump on the road on which the Democrats will travel on as they work to ensure that it is one of their own who is ultimately successful in taking over from Barry as he finally departs the Oval Office. And should we succeed in taking control of Congress after these midterms, in the two years that follow there will be very little room for error. Priorities must be clear. And they must not only be set, but met.

Once our members are all in place, come January, we must very quickly set about gaining the trust of the American people. And unlike Barry, we should not focus only one those who we know for certain voted for us. We must present our case to all of the people, pointing out that while there are many tough decisions that lie ahead, they must be made, and just because they are tough, and may cause pain for some, we should not shy away from making them.

And where Barry and his merry band of Democrats have spent much time, money and effort in the attempt to divide the people, it is the Republicans who MUST focus on bringing all people together, stressing that we are all on the same team, and if we allow America fail then we will all fail along with it and there will be no one who will remain unaffected. But at the same time it must be stressed that each and every one of us will have a role to play if our country is to survive.

More people than ever before in our history are, today dependent in one form or another and to some degree or another dependent upon government. And that, quite simply, is going to have to change. It’s something that we simply cannot afford to allow to continue. But having said that, we must at the same time make it very clear that while we vigorously oppose government handouts, what we are not opposed to is the government providing a hand up to those genuinely in need.

So while I am most definitely keeping my fingers crossed that the Republicans will be fortunate enough to assume complete control of Congress, I am, at the same time, also keeping my fingers crossed that they will come to have the wisdom to use that new found power appropriately. And a direct route to the people must be devised as we can no longer rely on the media to get our message out. They must be seen as being the enemy and as such be circumvented whenever possible.

Knowing what needs to be done is really relatively simple, the difficult part comes in having the will to do that which we all know must be done. But we also must possess the means to get our message out because the people must hear from us what it is that we stand for, not from those who have a vested interest in our failure. The Democrat Party and those who now comprise what was once referred to as the ‘mainstream media,’ today essentially operate as one. And they will act in unison to undermine our efforts.

DEMOCRATS HIT ANOTHER POTENTIAL SPEED-BUMP ON THE WAY TO THE MIDTERMS…

In referencing the very same Politico poll that was used earlier to point out the fact that Americans in those pesky ‘battleground states’ seem to be none too thrilled when it comes to Barry’s handling of the economy, we also find that it’s a majority of voters in those very same states who also seem to be not very big fans of his approach to immigration reform. So who is it that might actually be shocked by this little bit of news?

So in providing what may prove to be yet another potential complication for the Democrats as the November midterm elections rapidly approach, and with control of the Senate hanging precariously in the balance, we find out that its nearly two-thirds of likely voters in those battleground states who now disapprove of Barry method of dealing with the issue of immigration. It seems that they don’t take kindly to his threats

The results of this poll come on the heels of Barry 's apparent, and quite recent, about-face, or what some might call his flip-flop, regarding his threat to use executive action in his effort to allow millions of immigrants who are in this country illegally, to remain here without fear of being deported. Barry has also been accused of playing politics, announcing that he will now wait until after the elections before taking any action.

Barry’s obviously politically motivated decision drew the ire of more than a few supposed immigration-reform ‘advocates.’ One in particular was Frank Cherry, executive director of America's Voice. Cherry told Fox News that "we are bitterly disappointed in the president. The president and Senate Democrats have chosen politics over people." And this guy is somehow surprised by this? What kind of advocate must he be anyway?

So anyway, according to the Politico poll, 64 percent of voters in the most competitive House and Senate races disapprove of how Barry is handling immigration. More voters trust Republicans than Democrats on the issue, including 26 percent of independents. It was 18 percent of those who take great pride in calling themselves ‘Independents’ who said that they have more trust in the Democrats to handle immigration reform.

And I’m quite sure that it comes as no surprise to find out that a majority, or 48 percent, of Hispanic voters continue to side with Democrats on the issue of immigration, while just 27 percent said they had more trust in the GOP. This despite the fact that nearly half of all Hispanic voters disapprove of the way Barry has handled immigration reform. So the issue has become sort of a political football with red state Democrats.

North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan, a Democrat, has spoken out against executive action on immigration reform. Hagan is embroiled in a tight race with her Republican challenger, Thom Tillis. Hagan said, "I don't think it should be by executive action." Adding, "I made the comment weeks and weeks ago that this is a congressional decision. I've supported the immigration reform bill and … I think the House needs to take that legislation up."

And that would be ditto for Maine Sen. Angus King, an Independent who caucuses with Democrats. King has said, "Significant executive action would undermine support for comprehensive reform and actually perhaps could set the cause back." And he went on to say, "It's not about the midterms. It's about whether this is a good policy decision, and I don't think it is." He really expects us to believe that the midterms have nothing to do with it?

Remember now, it really matters very little, if at all, what these Democrats say before the election, because it’s all essentially etched in jell-o. And what I mean by that is that after, and I mean immediately after, the election, if they were to win, anything that they might have said before the election would all simply be forgotten. Because with victory would come their very enthusiastic support for the same executive action they claimed to oppose before the election.

WILL THE ECONOMY HAVE AN IMPACT ON NOVEMBER’S ELECTIONS???

It is according to another new survey, this one put out by Politico, that a feeling of gloom and doom surrounding the economy still persists in the United Sates. That despite the many rumors of continuing signs of some supposed economic recovery now being underway. While I may not be an expert on the economy, I am someone who is forced to deal with the effects, on a daily basis, brought about by those policies that Barry has put into place. And I dare say that there are very few, if any, actual indicators that any sort of recovery is currently ongoing.

I mean let’s face it. The jobs numbers that are being reported at the end of each month have now become nothing much more of a complete work of fiction than an accurate portrayal of our employment situation. And it’s a fact that we now have nearly as many people on some sort of government program, i.e., food stamps, disability, extended unemployment or welfare, as we now have working to cover the costs of all of those program. And in the span of Barry’s presidency we have had 10 Million workers who have now left the workforce. Recovery?

So this new Politico poll, supposedly involving 917 ‘likely’ voters, points out that at least in those states said to be ‘battleground states’, we have a majority of likely voters who blame, and rightly so, Barry "Almighty" for the nation’s financial woes. We see that 57 percent of them said that they either "strongly" or "somewhat" disapprove of his ‘leadership’ on the issue. The poll showed that only 15 percent "strongly approve" of Barry’s handling of the economy, while 27 percent said they somewhat approve.

And it also courtesy of this poll that we see that only 23 percent of potential voters in those states identified as being ‘competitive’, again regarding November’s midterm elections, believe that their financial situation has improved, compared to the 30 percent who say that it has actually gotten worse. And it’s the frustration and anger over the current state of the country’s economy that I think we can say has played at least a part in the fact that 36 percent of voters in the poll now say that the GOP is better suited to handle the economy.

And yet, as bizarre as it may sound, that figure was matched by the same percentage of those people who actually believe that it’s the Democrats who are better positioned to continue handling the country’s economy. Some 28 percent of respondents were undecided on which party should be running the economy. Now how ignorant, or completely misinformed, must one be in order to think that those in the Democrat Party are the least bit concerned about the economy or actually want it to improve in the first place?

And then, to add insult to injury, this poll also pointed out the fact that we now have a majority of Americans, 61 percent, say they do not have enough savings to deal with a sudden loss of the job. And we also has 62 percent of Americans who said that the rising cost of basic household items like gas and groceries has now put a significant strain on their finances. And I think we can also make the case for now saying that the rising cost of both of those particular items are a direct result of policies that have been put into place by Barry & Co..

Although Politico made the claim that the economy has marginally improved in recent months, the political news website said that unemployment still remains above 6 percent and that in August the country added just 142,000 jobs. But like I said earlier, there is very little doubt that the unemployment figures we hear about have been, and continue to be, manipulated to the point where they are now essentially meaningless. They in no way provide any sort of an accurate picture of our current employment situation.

So when all is said and done I find it all a bit confusing that while a significant number of people blame Barry for our rather dismal performing economy, they can, and in almost the very same breath, say they enthusiastic supporters of Hitlery Clinton, who is essentially cut from the very same cloth as Barry himself. She supports many of the same policies, and both are nothing more than rabid progressives. And as such neither possess any interest in ensuring that our economy is strong, because with a strong economy, fewer people require government ‘assistance’.

2014, WHAT MIGHT THINGS LOOK LIKE WHEN THE DUST FINALLY SETTLES???

Well, after five years of "Hope and Change" many Americans are now beginning to take stock not only of where it is that they are in their lives, but as well as in what they perceive to be the direction, right or wrong, that their country might now be headed. And it would appear that most of them now seem to view nearly everything as coming up dandelions instead of coming up roses. And with the midterm elections now essentially right around the corner, I’m not at all sure how that perception of thing will likely come to impact election results.

Because, you see, these days Americans seem to be less than thrilled not only with their politicians, but with the future of the country, the sad state of our economy, and just about everything else. That would be according to many of the nation's pollsters, who say there is very little these days that the public still believes in. Now you would think that since we were told by our current president that he was the ‘one who we had all been waiting for’, that the American people would be much more optimistic about things. But apparently such is not the case.

For instance, according to the Washington Post's polling analyst Scott Clement: "With an 'everything is terrible' mindset, I'm mostly thinking about how after several years of cantankerous and unproductive lawmaking in Washington, there are very few political figures or institutions who the public trusts anymore." But why is it that things have become so unproductive? While there may be enough blame to go around, I would argue that the primary reason is because of the Democrat "my way, or the highway" approach to nearly everything.

The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows Barry "Almighty's" approval ratings are at a record low, while at pretty much the same time there’s a new Gallup Poll that shows confidence in the economy is dropping rather precipitously. And overall, poll ratings for Republicans and Democrats are down, according to a CBS Poll. And the numbers could mean some odd results come this November, with people heading into the midterm elections pessimistic about candidates on both sides of the ballot.

And it was Clement who also said that the nation's lawmakers are no longer getting the benefit of the doubt, and "the public has seen more and more issues where they're just not happy about where things are going and the place they often look to blame is Washington." And it was a Washington Post-ABC News poll that showed that many people even disapprove of the job that their own lawmakers are doing. Usually folks are a bit more willing to give the home folks the benefit of the doubt, but apparently that trend may be changing.

But still while people are dissatisfied, it doesn’t seem to be transferring to primary results, where only few incumbents have lost their bids this year, a fact pointed out by NBC News' Mark Murray. "The one mitigating factor here is that there are so many different reasons for their dissatisfaction," Murray said. "You have Republicans complaining about immigration, Democrats complaining that Congress isn't working with them, Republicans wanting to impeach the president, Democrats blaming Congress, and all of these different complaints don't really measure up to one single unifying message that probably is going to have every member of Congress running for the hills this election season."

Republicans are increasingly dissatisfied, and if voters turn to a "more conservative, third party candidate" that could split the vote, warned Tom Jensen, the director of the liberal Public Policy Polling . My own personal opinion, regarding this splitting of the vote, is that it accomplishes little more than to virtually guarantee a Democrat victory. And if you can sleep at night after aiding a Democrat to win then so be it. In the primaries I vote for the most conservative candidate in the race. In the general election I will vote for the Republican.

It was Murray who also pointed out, "The one mitigating factor here is that there are so many different reasons for their dissatisfaction." And he went on to say, "You have Republicans are complaining about immigration, Democrats complaining that Congress isn't working with them, Republicans wanting to impeach the president, Democrats blaming Congress, and all of these different complaints don't really measure up to one single unifying message that probably is going to have every member of Congress running for the hills this election season."

So what does any of this really mean? Personally, and I am far from being any sort of an expert on such matters, I don’t think anyone really knows other than to say there is a great deal of uncertainty when it comes to trying to determine just what things might look like on the morning of November 5th. And anyone who tells you differently is just blowing smoke. While I feel fairly confident that when the dust settles the Republicans will control Congress, but I worry that they will end up doing little more than to squander yet another opportunity.
