OBAMA GETS PASS AFTER PASS WHILE CHRISTIE GETS CRUCIFIED…

As I have said before on many previous occasions, I am not a big fan of Chris Christie. But having said that, if this media feeding frenzy regarding what has now been termed,"Bridge-Gate," especially in the presence of a near endless chain of scandals that continues to have as it’s source, the White House, does anything, it once again lays bare the obvious bias of our leftist ‘news’ media. Because this Bridge-Gate, whether or not Christie was involved in it, pales in rather stark comparison to Fast&Furious-Gate, AP Snooping-Gate, Benghazi-Gate, IRS-Gate, NSA-Gate, EPA-Gate, Obamacare-Gate and any other –Gate that’s likely to raise it’s ugly head between now and the time we’re finally able to get rid of Barry. Which, unfortunately is still a very long way off.

And as we have been watching things unfold since this supposed scandal first broke, I suppose one could arrive at the conclusion that, finally, those in our state-controlled media complex have finally woken up and are now starting to focus on our continuing political scandals. You may find yourself asking, what took them so long? Oh, but wait a minute, because we’re not talking about the IRS scandal, and Benghazi scandal still hasn’t made to the front page of the New York Times, other than, of course, in what was their thinly veiled attempt to provide political cover for its two most prominent players, Barry and Hitlery. And there continues to be nary a word about Fast and Furious, unless it’s to report how it is that yet another one of these weapons has been involved in yet another murder.

So what’s the latest scandal that has our ever-so-inquisitive ‘news’ media digging for the ‘truth’ and has them more energized than I have seen them in a long time? Why, believe it or not, it’s the traffic scandal currently threatening to engulf New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. A traffic scandal, you say? How can THAT be, you ask. Is it because we lost an ambassador, you ask? Did someone get murdered, you ask? Was someone having their phone calls monitored? It can’t really be something as silly as a traffic scandal. Well, it would seem that such things as the death of an ambassador, or an obvious case of government sponsored gun running, or the out of control snooping on the American public, simply don’t rise to the same level of importance as does a traffic jam in New Jersey.

The media wasted very little time in its effort to make a mountain out of what is truly nothing more than a molehill. So my friends, welcome to what has become, "Bridge-Gate." Here’s a brief summary of what I understand the situation to be: Starting on Monday, September 9th, the first day of school, a top official at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey closed several lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge, the world’s busiest bridge, for a "traffic study." This went on for several days, creating horrendous traffic jams in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Incensed area commuters, local media and politicians immediately began to ask who ordered the study and why? Some in the media quickly became convinced that there was something about this that just wasn’t right.

By December, a long-time Christie friend at the Port Authority was forced to resign. Now emails have emerged indicating that top Christie officials may have intentionally created the huge traffic jams to politically hurt the mayor of Fort Lee who refused to endorse Christie’s reelection. It’s then that our corrupt media conglomerate began to hypothesize that there simply had to be more to this story and that Christie MUST somehow be at the heart of what can only be a scandal yet to be unearthed. So our industrious media types, ever eager to discover something, anything, that it can then pass on as being the God’s honest truth, started digging. So, those who can’t seem to be bothered with finding out the truth about the numerous presidential scandals, have more than enough time on their hands to root out the supposed cause of a traffic jam?

Liberals, in and out of the media, are absolutely salivating over the prospects of "Bridge-Gate" effectively ending the Christie for President boomlet. He was already battling the perception of being a political bully, and this story only reinforces it. Ted Kennedy can murder a young woman and still go on to serve decades in the Senate, even hailed as a courageous leader, but if a conservative shuts down a bridge, the left is ready to breakout the pitchforks. And those brandishing the pitchforks have no problem, whatsoever, in going after Christie while at the same time bending themselves into pretzels as they stubbornly work to defend Barry "Almighty." And that they can claim, and with a straight face no less, that there is simply no comparison between this ‘scandal’ and the many "phony scandals" involving Barry, very plainly reveals their hypocrisy.

Think about this. Christie is being pummeled today because his aides supposedly punished New Jersey commuters in retaliation for a mayor not doing what they wanted. Is that really very different from Barry "Almighty" punishing veterans and tourists during the government shutdown because congressional conservatives wouldn’t do what he wanted? There is little doubt that the open air memorials and national parks were closed in the hopes that outraged visitors would blame conservatives in Congress. At least Christie is acting like a chief executive by firing the people responsible. Has anyone at the IRS been fired yet? Has anyone at the State Department been fired for Benghazi? Has anyone at the Justice Department been held responsible for Fast and Furious? The answer would be no, no and no.
