You gotta admit, when it comes to being able to dream up some creative excuses, no one does it better than them crazy left-wingers. And we very recently had yet another example of that very thing. It seem there is this professor who teaches, of all things, constitutional law courses at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice who penned a Christmas Day essay blaming "southern White radicals" for the disastrous, slow-motion train wreck failure that has been the rollout of Obamacare. The essay, by Gloria J. Browne-Marshall at the website Politics in Color, is entitled "2013: A Year of Racial Challenges." And just what is it about women, usually liberal women, who feel the need to hyphenate their last name? And it’s in this little essay that this loon writes, "[S]outhern White radicals vowed to stop implementation of the Obama-care law leading one to wonder if Tea Party members would oppose affordable healthcare if it came from a nonBlack [sic] President."
Oh but she doesn’t stop there, not by a long shot. Because in the next two rather bizarre paragraphs, the taxpayer-funded professor proceeded to ramble on going from Abraham Lincoln to Christopher Dorner, the black LAPD cop who killed a bunch of innocent people and then committed suicide at the end of a huge manhunt. "Some called Dorner insane others said a modern-day Nat Turner, referring to the leader of a Virginia slave rebellion in 1831," Browne-Marshall wrote in her rather unique writing style. "However, the possibility racism was a core issue in this case was disregarded." Then, believe it or not, this loon goes on to discuss a host of other issues, including a Supreme Court opinion on voting rights and the fates of Trayvon Martin and "White Latino" George Zimmerman. I guess what really bothers me is the fact that Ms. Browne-Marshall is deemed as being qualified to teach courses in constitutional law and evidence. She is also a member of, big surprise here, the gender studies faculty.
Now I know I’m no college professor, so it’s not all that clear to me how Ms. Browne-Marshall was able to reason her way to the conclusion that "southern White radicals" derailed Obamacare. But, more often than not, reason is something that liberals, especially those who have managed to proceed as far around the bend as has Ms. Browne-Marshall, have a rather difficult time dealing with. And as College Insurrection notes, a CNN poll recently conducted just before Christmas showed that 62 percent of Americans actually oppose Barry’s signature legislation. Also, more than 4.7 million Americans have had their health insurance cancelled as a result of the massive new healthcare regime. At the same time, the Department of Health and Human Services confirmed Tuesday that, between federal and state exchanges, just 2 million Americans have signed up for Obamacare coverage.
The institution of ‘higher learning’ where this leftwing nutjob is a professor, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, actually lauds itself as being "the preeminent national and international leader in educating for justice." Students, at the very well-located Manhattan school mainly study, or so we’re told, criminology, correctional studies and the like. But I’d be curious to know what it might be that those in this crackpot’s classes are being ‘taught’ about our Constitution. I mean if this little essay provides anything to us, I think it becomes a pretty safe bet that whatever it is they’re being taught, it most likely has very little to do with the generally accepted view of our Constitution. And the fact that she also happens to be black only increased the odds that her rant would be sure to have the requisite racial overtones. Obviously she knows even less about the Constitution than does Barry, who has also been referred to as an instructor of the Constitution.
