BILL MAHER…AN EXTRAORDINARY ASSHOLE…

"BILL MAHER"
I think if there is one thing that we can all safely agree on, it’s the fact that every time Bill Maher opens his pie hole, he provides us all with a bit more proof that he is far from being one who knows how this country was designed to work. But in the big scheme of things, I doubt very much that he cares about how it was designed to work. And really, just how much brainpower does it take to do what Maher does anyway? Because while Maher, like Jon Leibowitz, may view himself as being a clever political satirist or some sort of an advocate for social justice, in reality he is someone who, like most on the left, has a difficult time defending his position against someone with a brain.

In true leftist fashion Maher takes great pleasure in ridiculing, and even attacking, all those who dare to disagree with his bizarre, and rather skewed to the left, view of the world. And he reveals himself to be someone who knows very little about the history of our nation when he rants about how it is that America was one of the last countries to ban slavery. America banned slavery nearly 150 years ago, and if Maher was half as smart as he thinks he is, he would know that today, in 2014, slavery remains very much alive and in more than just a few countries, many of which are run by blacks. Or, maybe he does know that, but derives some sick pleasure out of lying about America.

And apparently Maher must also be a big believer in what is, and becomes more so everyday, the cockamamie theory of global warming. A theory that has repeatedly been proven to be based on nothing more than very questionable ‘science’ and the outright lies of those who have managed to make for themselves a lot of money by selling this scam. But it’s a scam that the majority of the American people remain skeptical about, and yet clones like Maher still believe, or profess to believe, that it is somehow the basis for the next great apocalypse. The supposed evidence that proponents claim exists, doesn’t jibe with what most people are seeing with their own eyes.

And still he goes on to claim that America is one of the last "modern" nations to finally provide to its citizens universal healthcare. And I think many of us are now seeing that there’s a reason for that. And we’ve been witnessing it nearly nonstop since 1 October of last year. But look, even before this attempt was made to bring it to the shores of America, there was more than enough proof that such a government run system is doomed to fail, because it has failed everywhere it has been tried. It is simply beyond the scope of government to adequately handle. That’s not say that there was not room for improvement in what we had, but Obamacare makes matters much worse.

And Maher, like a majority of those on the left think the whole notion of the Electoral College outdated. It’s an idea meant for another time. Those who reside very firmly on the left, as does Maher, have been working to convince people of the need to get rid of the Electoral College for decades. And why do you suppose it is that they would be working so hard to get rid of it? Because they wish to tilt the playing field even further in their favor. Because why should it be that people in roughly a third of the states be the ones to elect a president? It serves a very special purpose and it’s an integral part of how we go about electing our president. The people in very state should have a say.

Personally I view it as being a rather sad commentary on America that there are people in this country that Bill is able to continue to keep getting some laughs from. I can only believe that they must be the dregs of our society, those with some sort of ax to grind can laugh at his brand of humor. There’s really nothing the least bit funny about what Maher regularly spews on his stupid little television show. It’s like he goes out of his way to manufacture every falsehood imaginable about his country and to then present to people hoping that they’ll actually believe it’s all true. And since far too many people tend to accept things at face value they pretty much believe anything that they’re told.

And because people are too lazy to verify just about anything of what they hear these days, that gives Maher, and the many others like him, a certain amount of power over them that if things were just a little different, he would not be able to possess. To many I suppose Maher is nothing more than a harmless entertainer who has manage to carve out for himself a unique little niche. But his brand of ‘humor’ is really rather toxic. And I understand that, as Americans, we’ve got to be able to laugh at ourselves, but I think Maher takes things a bit too far. What he says is not in the context of good natured fun, he ridiculing our country and all that it stands for.

I’ve never really been able to quite understand why it is that entertainment and artistic types insist upon, and are quite comfortable in, tearing down the very same country that has provided them with an opportunity to become successful and to make a lot of money. Some a great deal of money. Because I gotta tell ya, if most of these people were to be living in another country, many of them would have never progressed beyond selling pencils on some street corner. There’s a lot of truth in that saying, "Only in America." But they all think so highly of themselves, their egos are so huge, they think that just because they ‘made it’ in America, they could do so anywhere. And that’s just not true!
