The numbers are now in, and much to the disappointment of those on the left, the official verdict is that there has been no global warming for the last 17 years and 11 months. Satellite data prepared by Lord Christopher Monckton shows there has been no warming trend from October of 1996 to August of 2014, or 215 months. And in an effort to, perhaps, better put that into perspective, kids graduating from high school this year have not lived through any global warming in their lifetimes.
Calling it the "Great Pause," Lord Monckton wrote, "It is becoming harder and harder to maintain that we face a 'climate crisis' caused by our past and present sins of emission." Monckton went on to say, "This is the longest continuous period without any warming in the global instrumental temperature record since the satellites first watched in 1979. It has endured for half the satellite temperature record. Yet the Great Pause coincides with a continuing, rapid increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration."
Monckton, who was a policy adviser to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, says that the rate of warming is half of what climate scientists initially predicted a quarter-century ago. The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) first predicted back in 1990 that global temperatures would rise at a rate of 2.8 degrees Celsius per century. But the temperature rise since the IPCC’s prediction has only been at a rate of 1.4 degrees Celsius per century. Proving yet again that this organization is pretty much useless.
The so-called "pause" in global warming has apparently baffled those who identify themselves as being ‘climate scientists’, as many of their supposed climate models failed to predict such a prolonged period of little to no warming. But let’s face it when it comes to such ‘models’ as these, it’s important to remember that old saying that tells us, "garbage in, garbage out." And with that said, there remains more than a few of these ‘climate scientists’ who continue to deny that a "pause" in global warming is even taking place.
Monckton wrote in his climate analysis, "The Great Pause is a growing embarrassment to those who had told us with ‘substantial confidence’ that the science was settled and the debate over." And he went on to say, "Nature had other ideas." He added, "Though more than two dozen more or less implausible excuses for the Pause are appearing in nervous reviewed journals, the possibility that the Pause is occurring because the computer models are simply wrong about the sensitivity of temperature to manmade greenhouse gases can no longer be dismissed."
So there you have it. Even more proof, as if we needed any, that what’s being perpetrated here, and on what is pretty much of a global scale, is nothing more than one monumental scam designed to do nothing more than make people like Al Gore, very, very rich. And yet we continue to hear from the likes of John Kerry-Heinz how it is that immediate action must be taken, before it’s too late, to address this issue that doesn’t really even exist in the first place. And we’re talking about massive amounts of money here, and it’s all just a fraud.
