I think we can safely say that Barry’s attempt to
combat ‘Radical Islamic’ terrorists has been half-hearted at best, and at worst
a miserable failure. Nothing made that
more clear than his speech at the Pentagon this past Monday. One which has been described by some as being
the emotional equivalent of reading from the phonebook, an assessment with
which I would have to agree. In the
speech we heard Barry “Almighty” declare that the U.S. military is hitting the,
non-Islamic, Islamic State “harder than ever.”
He said that as of today (meaning Monday) there have been nearly 9,000
airstrikes, and in November, the military “dropped more bombs on ISIL targets
than any other month” since U.S. military operations began.
And it was in referring to the Islamic State of Iraq
and Levant (ISIL), also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or ISIS or,
as Barry has also referred to them, the JV Team, that our ‘Fearless Leader’
went on to say, “We are hitting ISIL harder than ever. Coalition aircraft, our
fighters, bombers and drones have been increasing the pace of airstrikes –
nearly 9,000 as of today.” And Barry added that, “Last month, in November we
dropped more bombs on ISIL targets than any other month since this campaign
started.” But as is always the case with
this guy, quantity rarely, if ever, has any meaningful relationship to
quality. Dropping thousands of bombs
doesn’t matter much if you’re determined not to hit the high value targets.
Barry did his best, I suppose, to make the point
that since the spring of this year the U.S. has managed to take out one of the
terrorist group’s top leaders, Abu Sayyaf, as well as Mohammed Emwazi, better
known as “Jihadi John,” “who brutally murdered Americans and others.” A host of other ISIS leaders were also taken
out, including its second in command, a top online recruiter, a finance chief,
senior extortionist, and weapons trafficker.
But at the end of the day, we have had virtually no effect on the
group’s ability to expand or in reducing the amount of territory that it now
holds. So the fact that Barry has very
little to show for his massive expenditure of ordnance, hasn’t stopped him from
taking credit for what little has actually been accomplished.
Barry said, “I want to provide all of you a brief
update on our progress against the ISIL core in Syria and Iraq, because as we
squeeze its heart, we’ll make it harder for ISIL to pump its terror and
propaganda to the rest of the world.”
And he went on to say, “We’re going after ISIL from their stronghold
right in downtown Raqqa to Libya, where we took out Abu Nabil, the ISIL leader
there. The point is ISIL leaders cannot hide, and our next message to them is
simple: You are next.” Right, I bet
Barry has these Moslem thugs shaking in their sandals. All they see when they look at this guy is an
ally in their continuing effort to destroy America. From his words as well as his actions, how
could they possibly see him as being anything else?
Barry went on to say, “Everyday we destroy as well
more of ISIL’s forces, their fighting positions, bunkers, and staging areas,
their heavy weapons, bombmaking factories, compounds, and training camps. In
many places, ISIL’s lost its freedom of maneuver, because they know if they
mask their forces, we will wipe them out. In fact, since this summer, ISIL has
not had a single successful offensive operation on the ground in either Syria
or Iraq.” Now while there is nothing
that Barry does better than to blow his own horn, after spending the last seven
years lying to us, does he still actually think that we will believe anything that
he says? Personally, I’m thinking he
doesn’t really give a rat’s ass whether we believe him or not.
But look, as far as I’m concerned Barry can continue
to pat himself on the back until the cows come home, but the fact is that while
we may very well have launched 9,000 air strikes, how many of those air strikes
were actually permitted to accomplish their mission and how many were denied
permission to drop their bombs? And it’s
at the same time we’re being told not to worry because our Commander-in-Chief
has this whole terror situation well in hand.
And apparently he’s got it so under control that he and the family will
soon be taking yet another multi-million dollar Hawaiian vacation over the
holidays - all at the taxpayer’s expense, of course. But hey, as soon as he gets back after the
holidays he’s hit the deck running.
And you know what, so what if we’ve dropped 9,000
bombs and have chalked up fifteen, or so, dead terrorist leaders. There’s
always some other Moslem nutjob waiting in the wings ready to step up. And can you imagine how many more of these
lunatics we might have been able to kill had Barry not been so busy providing them
with a little advance warning? And while
we have heard from many on the left who have been very busy in their continuing
attempts to distance Barry from these warnings that were issued, the bottom
line is that you can't have it both ways.
Barry is either the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, or he
isn't. And let’s face it that, my
friends, is very clearly a role he is completely incapable of performing.
But still, according to Barry, since this summer,
ISIL has not had a single successful offensive operation on the ground in
either Syria or Iraq. The big question
is why did Barry wait so long, allowing ISIS to gain the massive power that it
has acquired? ISIS can suspend military
operations and still collect massive amounts of money while simply waiting out
Barry’s bombs. The truth is, Barry has no plan when it comes to dealing with
ISIS in what would be any meaningful way.
If he was truly serious about going after ISIS he would hit their oil.
Wherever it is and whenever we find it.
But he won't, so he's not serious. Just another photo op. He actually
believes in their goal of a unified caliphate. He’s hoping they will eventually
go after Israel.
Let’s face it, I think we can all agree that Barry’s
heart simply isn’t in this fight against terrorism, or at least to the degree
that it needs to be waged. And it’s very
clear that he did this recent speech very grudgingly, and only in an attempt to
quell what has become some rather hostile public opinion. He has done nothing to stop ISIS from either
expanding in the Middle East, or from entering into our country. ABSOLUTELY
NOTHING!!! Back in September, Barry’s
strategy for defeating ISIS was, and I quote, "We don't have a strategy
yet." The only war that Barry feels
compelled to wage, is his ongoing war again fossil fuels and his top priority
is to avert some theoretical apocalypse brought about by nonexistent ‘climate
change.’
I mean really, compare the passion you hear in Barry’s
voice whenever he talks about these terrorists to when he’s talking about things
like ‘climate change’ or Trayvon Martin, or when he talked about the not
admitting of Syrian refugees. As I said
earlier, his heart simply isn’t in this whole ‘Radical Islam’ shit. Remember now, this is the very same guy who
announced the doubling of our troop level in Afghanistan, and then in the very
same sentence, he said, we are leaving on a date certain. Who does that, other than a guy who has no
interest whatsoever in defeating the enemy that he himself is sending our
troops to fight? Who the Hell thought
that was a good idea? Don’t bother to answer
that, it’s intended to be a rhetorical question.
