As we all know, or should know by now after dealing
with guy for nearly eight years now, there’s nothing Barry relishes more than
an opportunity to pump young, impressionable minds full of what is nothing more
than the purest form of leftist bullshit.
And he always makes sure to take the fullest advantage possible when
such an opportunity presents itself! And
it was this past Sunday that he was provided with just that sort of opportunity
when he proceeded to tell the graduates at Rutgers University, “to insist upon
and shape an informed debate” about climate change, adding that climate change
is not something that is subject to “political spin.”
It was while delivering one of his most recent
commencement addresses that Barry took it upon himself to explain to those
graduates present the threat which he views as being above all other threats we
face as nation. Barry said, “Climate
change is not something subject to political spin. There is evidence. There are
facts. We can see it happening right now.”
Barry then went on to say that the debate about climate change is “a
perfect example” of astronomer Carl Sagan’s quote, “We can judge our progress
by the courage of our questions and the depths of our answers, our willingness
to embrace what is true rather than what feels good.”
In trying to do his best to convince these graduates
that what he spoke was the truth, Barry said, “Now, I recognize it doesn’t feel
like the planet is warmer right now. I understand. There was hail when I landed
in Newark, but think about the climate change issue.” Barry then went on to make the claim that,
“Every day, there are officials in high office with responsibilities who mock
the overwhelming consensus of the world’s scientists that human activities and
the release of carbon dioxide and methane and other substances are altering our
climate in profound and dangerous ways.”
To say that he stretched the truth a bit, is an understatement.
And it was in trying to make his point, I guess,
that he made reference to Sen. James Inhofe, a Republican and also the Chairman
of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. It was about Sen. Inhofe that Barry said, “A
while back, you may have seen a United States senator trotted out a snowball
during a floor speech in the middle of winter as ‘proof’ that the world was not
warming.” Now this was nothing more than
the typical sophomoric wise-ass crap that we’ve come to expect from our
‘president’. And what better place to demonstrate his obvious adolescent streak
than in front of those who are essentially his intellectually-challenged
equals?
Barry said, “I mean, listen, climate change is not
something subject to political spin. There is evidence. There are facts. We can
see it happening right now. If we don’t act, if we don't follow through on the
progress we made in Paris, the progress we've been making here at home, your
generation will feel the brunt of this catastrophe.” He added, “So it’s up to you to insist upon
and shape an informed debate. Imagine if Benjamin Franklin had seen that
senator with the snowball, what he would think. Imagine if your 5th grade
science teacher had seen that. He’d get a D. And he’s a senator!” Not if he were a teacher of actual science.
He said, “Look, I'm not suggesting that cold
analysis and hard data are ultimately more important in life than passion, or
faith, or love, or loyalty.” And added, “I am suggesting that those highest
expressions of our humanity can only flourish when our economy functions well,
and proposed budgets add up, and our environment is protected.” Barry said, “And to accomplish those things,
to make collective decisions on behalf of a common good, we have to use our
heads. We have to agree that facts and evidence matter, and we got to hold our
leaders and ourselves accountable to know what the heck they’re talking about.”
Barry speaks of facts and evidence as if everything
is judged equally, which it is not.
Because when it comes to ‘climate change’ it would seem that some facts
are determined to be more scientifically accurate than others. On the subject of ‘climate change’ how many
different ways can Barry make the same argument? Once again not a single fact was presented as
he spewed nothing but propaganda. And
his solution for global warming? To raise
taxes, hurt businesses and redistribute wealth. Yup, that’ll fix it. The overwhelming number of scientists funded
by the government may believe in global warming but not most other actual
scientists.
And it was from ‘climate change’ that Barry then
moved on to yet another favorite topic of his and one that is also very near
and dear to his heart. That of course would be the topic of Muslims. Barry told
the graduates that Muslims around the world are our most valued partners in the
fight against "violent extremism."
He said, "Isolating or disparaging Muslims, suggesting that they
should be treated differently when it comes to entering this country, that is
not just a betrayal of our values. That's not just a betrayal of who we are, it
would alienate the very communities at home and abroad who are our most
important partners in the fight against violent extremism."
When it comes to Muslims I can only guess what the
point might be that Barry has been trying to make. Is it that without Muslims
there would be no fighting, because without the cult of Islam there would be no,
or at least considerably fewer, extremists. Does he see Muslims are our partners in this
continuing war in the same way that the Nazis, and the Japanese, were our
partners in WWII? Right, just like the
Nazis were our best allies to defeat Hitler and Kamikazes to defeat Japan. Got
it? Make that moderate Nazis, I guess. Yet, there were about as many moderate Nazis
then as there are moderate Muslims now.
And that would be very few.
Even after watching Barry for what seems, now, like
forever, to see so much hubris exhibited by so small a man, you must admit, is
pretty remarkable. And it’s now gotten
to the point where it's pretty difficult to even read his words without
retching and near impossible to actually have to listen to them. Government has gotten huge and
intrusive. Our debt is
unsustainable. The bottom line here is
that the erosion of America's Judeo Christian values and morals as well as our
ethical compass, has diminished the quality of life for everybody. Which all comes under the heading of Barry’s
primary purpose as president, the ‘fundamental transformation!’ of America.
