CIVILITY DIES AT THE HANDS OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY…

Over the course of the last year, and during most if not all of the recent presidential campaign, much has been said, by the Democrats, about how it was that when Trump and the Republicans go low, the American people could trust them to go high.  We’ve also heard over and over, again from the Democrats, how it is that civility is dead.  But it’s important to know that Donald Trump is not the one who killed it despite the many claims that we’ve heard, and continue to hear, from those in the Democrat Party, as well as their many minions in the state-controlled media.

Because the Democrats had one of worst candidates for president in their history, they simply had no choice but to go low early and often.  Discourse came crashing down thanks in large part to Democrats’ idea to use identity politics as their primary weapon.  The left has spent years calling blue collar workers — and the majority of the middle of the country — bigots, racists, homophobes, sexists, Islamophobes and white supremacists.  And I’m sure most will recall how it was that Hitlery claimed that Trump’s supporters were “a basket of deplorables.”

Leftists led riots, they attacked Trump supporters, called for his assassination, accused Trump of being the new Hitler and the fringe of left-wing politics organized murderous ambushes of police officers. Trump did not provoke any of these responses, unless you choose to argue that his, sometimes questionable, behavior gives people carte blanche to act however they wish.  As the campaign waged on, evidence would begin to come to light that seemed to suggest that individuals like George Soros were actually financing the political discourse.

And then we have those who have become so completely unhinged because of Hitlery’s defeat.  For example, there’s Georgetown University associate professor C. Christine Fair’s appalling behavior toward a fellow liberal.  A summary of Fair’s month-plus interaction with former colleague Asra Q. Nomani is this: Nomani wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post explaining why she, as a Muslim woman and “long-time liberal,” voted for Trump. Fair went nuclear on Twitter and Facebook, calling Nomani a “psycho shrew,” “wretch” and “clueless dolt.”

This nutjob ‘professor’ summed up her roiling anger by telling Nomani, “FUCK YOU. GO TO HELL.”  And it is after the most cursory glance of professor Fair’s past that we would see that she seems to have a history of doing this sort of thing.  Apparently she called a man a “charlatan” because he didn’t leave a favorable review on her book and she allegedly shouted at a college student about the election on an airplane.   The defenses people gave for Fair’s behavior?  I wrote fake news and I cherry-picked only the meanest things she said.

Democrats always intended for it to be an ugly, divisive election. The plan: tear the country apart on racial, gender and religious lines; blame Republicans for the ensuing firestorm; win the election and use that as proof that Republicans are the cause of America’s discord.   Media talking heads and writers bemoaned the death of civility, and then turned around and called Trump supporters white supremacists and neo-Nazis. And oddly enough, even Barry “Almighty”, who has mocked Trump on multiple occasions, also called for more civility.

They failed to win the election, but are still trying to complete their plan by putting all the blame on Trump. Calls to heal the nation are met by celebrities boycotting the inauguration and attacking anyone who’s rumored to possibly perform.  Leftwing leaders like Hitlery Clinton and ‘Dingy Harry’ Reid are either staying silent or actively stoking tensions.  Liberals like Fair are lashing out at anyone who steps outside their prescribed worldview — including fellow liberals like Nomani.  All this makes the point that for Democrats it’s all about the party, not the country.

Donald Trump is a symptom of a much larger problem that the Democrats themselves created, and it’s unclear if they’ve recognized it is a problem.  Instead of doing soul-searching after Hitlery’s crushing defeat, Democrats continue to, practically from election night on, to double down on identity politics and to blame everyone except themselves for what they were all so sure would be President-elect Hitlery Clinton.  Don’t blame Trump for the death of civil discourse, it’s the Democrats who are responsible for not only killing, but obliterating it.

So look, can we all agree that 2016 was the year that Democrats/leftists/progressives, to one degree or another, finally came to be unmasked?  This leftist shtick of brainwashing, or working to keep the American voter as uninformed as possible, is designed to destroy America from within by dividing our nation/citizens into groups labeled as privileged, racists, homophobes, nativists, populists, bigots, xenophobes, fascists, white supremacists, imperialists, sexist, misogynist, islamophobic, anti-semitic, transphobic, brown shirts, Nazis, etc.

Democrats, the election is OVER!  And there is nothing that you, or your Party, can do that is going to change that outcome.  As your fearless leader, Barry “Almighty”, so famously said, 'Elections have Consequences! We won!'  Your Party LOST!  That's how politics works, someone has to lose and this time it was you.  So, I have to wonder why you are spewing venom.  Republicans are not, by their very nature, a hateful tribe.  In fact, I would argue that most of us are practicing Christians, which obligates us to be as kind and forgiving as we can.

First and foremost, we are all Americans.  So, I am asking of you that if you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation, be quite.  The rest of us have a Nation that we love that needs to heal.  When the Democrat Party was in complete charge during the first two years of Barry first term, what did they choose to focus on?  That which was good for the country, or that which was good for the party?  The Republicans, and Trump, will now have the opportunity to act in stark contrast, and to prove their priorities are the priorities of the American people.
