FIRST, LAST AND ALWAYS, OBAMA HAS BEEN A DISASTER …

Man you just gotta hand it to Barry.  There’s looking through rose colored glasses, and then there’s looking through whatever it is that Barry seems to be looking through.  Which brings me to this past Thursday, when on Chicago’s ABC7 Barry was asked by correspondent Judy Hsu if race relations have gotten better or worse during his tenure.  Barry wasted little time in responding, saying “for the most part” they had gotten better.  Talk about being asleep at the wheel!

Barry said, “You know I think that in some ways, like everything else it’s gotten better and in some ways we have surfaced tensions that were already there but are getting more attention. Look, I came to Chicago in 1985, in the middle of Council Wars between Harold Washington and Eddie Vrdolyak. Some of your viewers are too young to remember this stuff. I promise you, for the most part, race relations have gotten better.”  No, sorry Barry, but I respectfully disagree.

How absolutely delusional can one person be?  And how stupid, or politically motivated, must you be not to see this man, this black man, as being the singular most racially divisive president in this nation’s history?  Because in making everything about himself also all about race, he has taken race relations lower than they have been in decades.  Because if you chose to stand in opposition to his blatantly left leaning policies, the only acceptable reason for doing so is because you are…racist.

Anyone who is even the slightest bit informed should realize that if there is one certainty after having our black president for eight years, there is no denying that race relations in this country have deteriorated, and very significantly so.  And for him to say that race relations have improved during his reign is one of the most profoundly clueless statements I think I've ever heard him make.  It’s disappointing that 50 years of progress was erased by one man, a black man, in just eight years.

Barry came riding into office on the mantra of “Hope and Change”.  His mission was to “fundamentally transform” this country.  But, his hatred of this country prevented him from bringing about anything positive.  True, America has committed wrongs but we had slavery for the shortest time of any country in history.  But America has also done much good in this world, something that Barry was never willing to admit, and therefore went about his perpetual apologizing for America all over the globe.

One could argue that something just hasn't right for the last eight years.  There was something that always seemed to be missing.  And it was leadership. Every organization, every group, every military force needs a leader. Children need parents, and even adults need some level of direction from police and other sources to prevent chaos.  Every crew needs someone to head up the ship.  We have been manning the ship alone for eight years now, and we have become desperate for leadership

Barry has proven himself to be nothing if not an equal opportunity divider.  He divided the country along ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual preference, sexual identity, and social status.  But race was always his first go to wedge, after all it’s what got him elected not only once, but twice.  Millions of blacks voted for him for no other reason than because he’s black and have continued to stand by him for the same reason.  And yet anytime anyone questioned Barry on policy they were quickly labeled a "racist".

I’ve said before that while I did not vote for him, it was still my feeling that not since the earliest days of our republic had we elected a man who held as much promise as did Barry.  Which made it all the more disappointing, even maddening, when, and in fairly short order, he demonstrated that he fully intended to squander what were countless opportunities to make this country even better and to allow his leftwing ideology to dictate the direction in which he would take this country.

Barry has succeeded in nothing more than to make this country much worse than the he found it.  And not only in the area of race relations, but on nearly every level. Whether we’re discussing domestic or foreign policy, terrorism, national defense, the military, or fiscal responsibility, Barry will be turning over to the next president a country that is in a shambles when compared to the shape it was in when handed over to him.  He should be embarrassed, yet he seems quite proud of all that he ‘accomplished’.
