OBAMA AND RANGEL…A LITTLE TROUBLE IN DA HOOD???

I guess there’s a little trouble brewing down in Da Hood. I was completely unaware of the fact that Barry "Almighty" was in the midst of some sort of feud with Charlie Rangel. Apparently it all stems from the fact that Barry reportedly described Rangel as being a "hack" in a best-selling book about the 2012 election. Frankly, what I find as being more than just a little ironic is the fact that Barry could feel justified in accusing anyone of being a hack, especially shen it’s so obvious that that’s really all that he is. Let’s face it, who better defines what a political hack is better than Barry?

But apparently there’s a bit more to it because, according to the New York Post, the truth is that the two have never liked each other. Rangel has been one of Barry’s strongest Democrat critics. He slammed Barry for his stance on Syria, IRS reviews of conservative organizations and the rollout of Obamacare. "It’s screwed up," he said, describing the botched execution of the healthcare law. Also according to the Post, the problems date back to at least 2008, when Rangel supported Hitlery Clinton in the Democrat primary. And as we know, Barry can most certainly hold a grudge.

"There’s a cultural difference. There was always a pecking order of who [Rangel] perceived as being part of the struggle during the civil-rights movement," Vincent Morgan, a Rangel aide from 2001 to 2004, told the Post. "The younger people were constantly reminded that they were the beneficiaries. Every conversation with him was a one-sided conversation. It was like, ‘That’s a good idea, but you haven’t been in the game long enough.’ " Sadly, it’s black Democrats like Rangel who are constantly out in front telling blacks that nothing has really changed for them since the early 60s.

Rangel, who has practically made a career out of sucking up to the Clintons, repeatedly dismissed Barry throughout his rise to the White House. "It’s a little more style than it is politics," another Rangel confidant told the Post anonymously. "There are members of Congress who backed Hillary who Obama now has a decent relationship with. The thing with Charlie — a lot of it is style. There’s nobody more old-school than Charlie. And Obama is not." Somehow old-school isn’t how I would choose to describe Rangel. Unless, of course, by old-school one means to be more openly racist in nature.

An when Rangel faced censure for paying below-market rates on four Harlem apartments and failing to pay taxes on his Dominican Republic cottage, Barry was unusually harsh in his criticism of his fellow Democrat. "He’s somebody who’s at the end of his career,’’ Barry told CBS News in July 2010. "I’m sure that what he wants is to be able to end his career with dignity, and my hope is that it happens.’’ Their animus blew up again when Barry tried to bar Rangel from a Harlem event in March 2011. As they say, there’s no honor among thieves, and that’s really all these two scumbags are.

Look, as far as I’m concerned both of these guys should be behind bars in the nearest federal prison. But since both are Democrats, and black to boot, the likelihood of that happening is slim and none, and slim just left town. One is no better or worse than the other. They’re liars who seek to take advantage of people for no other reason than to increase their own personal stature, especially in the black community. But it’s because of them, and people like them, that in many respects members of the black community have been unable to progress any further than to be firmly addicted to the federal government.
