Democrats have been very successful, over the years, in their attempt to rewrite history, especially when it comes to their approach to race relations in this country. This political party which brought into being the Ku Klux Klan, and is the party of Jim Crow and segregation, has long portrayed itself as being the party that has always supported equal rights. And, sadly, blacks have essentially been sold out by the likes of Al 'Bull Horn' Sharpton and Jesse 'The Extortionist' Jackson in the effort to keep blacks very firmly on the Democrat Plantation.
