ANOTHER DEMOCRAT PROVES YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID...

ANOTHER FINE EXAMPLE OF WHAT STUPID LOOKS LIKE

What was heard last week at something called a mayors' forum on, of all things, economic justice, was perhaps the most bizarre rationale I've yet heard for favoring state funded abortions. Because it was the imbecilic mayor of Tacoma, Washington who actually suggested that abortion is an antidote to poverty: "Young women who have children who are not married are more likely to end up in poverty, and so are their children," so said Mayor Marilyn Strickland. Now it should come as no great surprise that Ms. Strickland is, of course, both black and a Democrat. She went on to say, "When you take away a woman's right to choose, you may actually consign her to a life of poverty with her children or her unborn children."

Mayor Strickland also said that it's important to "help people become empowered," and she made the point that mayors can set policies at the local level to encourage economic development. She mentioned the debate over paid sick leave. She said labor unions are now recruiting members who don't belong to unions "because they understand that as union membership goes down every year, the middle class suffers in America. So we have to make sure there is a middle class that is strong and that is vibrant." And so I guess one way of accomplishing that is through the allowing of unfettered abortions? Sorry, but I'm just not making the connection, there. But then, of course, I'm not an empty-headed liberal like the good mayor here.

And our brilliant mayor said businesses must understand that they need consumers with buying power to be successful. "We all do better, when we all do better. And we made great gains as a country as far as civil rights. But there's a lot of work to do," Strickland said. She noted that the rates of unemployment, incarceration and educational achievement are all disproportionately higher for people of color: "So we know good and well that we still have a major hangover from the institution of slavery and other decisions that we've made." So nearly 150 years after slavery officially came to an end, this moron actually thinks that what we are dealing with is the residual effects of slavery. Like they say, you just can't fix stupid!

So I guess what she's claiming here is that the only reason that blacks suffer from higher unemployment, a higher rate of incarceration and a lower level of educational achievement, is because of slavery? Actually if she could bring herself to be bit more honest, she would admit that all three of these issues actually stem from what have been decades worth of liberal policies the specific purpose of which was to decimate the black family and make blacks forever dependent upon the federal government. But since she can't do that, she can peddle her progressive brand of bullshit to someone too stupid to recognize the fact that they're being lied to. That’s the only way people like her operate, they blame everything except what's actually at fault. A hangover from slavery? Nope! It's a hangover from years of liberal hogwash!
