OUR ‘MAINSTREAM’ MEDIA IS THE DEFINITION OF…USELESS!!!

If there is one thing that has become painfully clear over the years, and even more so in just the last few years, it’s that, what remains to be hysterically referred to as being, our "mainstream news media", has become anything but ‘mainstream.’ I think most of us are able to look back over the years and recognize that there has always been some level of liberal bias applied to the ‘news’ we regularly receive. I’m not sure when it all began, but even that much revered journalistic icon Walter Cronkite was known to regularly put his own spin on what it was that he reported on to his viewers each and every night. And despite his looking us directly in the eye and telling us night after night, "And that’s the way it is," more often than not that’s NOT the way it was, but how he wanted us all to think it was. We just never thought Walter would lie to us, and yet…he did, and on what was a fairly regular basis.

And it was during the 2008 presidential campaign that our mainstream media sunk to a whole new level by committing what would be it’s most blatant, and fairly obvious, dereliction of duty. To my way of thinking the ‘job’ of the media is to be the guardian of our freedom. And it does that by primarily keeping the American people informed about what it is that those in government may be up to. But in 2008 what they saw as being far more important was to do all that they could to ensure that a black man would be elected. So they made a conscious decision to keep from the American people essential information that may have kept that from taking place. And because of their actions the American people went into the election at a distinct disadvantage. And since those in the media were confident that blacks would vote for the black guy simply because he was black, they focused their efforts on the rest of us.

Now while those who comprise that which is still referred to as, the ‘mainstream media’ may claim that they see no political bias in how they present the ‘news’, it only takes about five minutes of watching any one of their broadcasts to see that there is, most certainly a leftward slant. And actually it goes well beyond simply being biased, it’s now gotten to the point where they spew, and on a very regular basis, what is nothing than pure propaganda. Whether it’s bogus ‘climate change’, the supposed economic recovery, the manipulated unemployment numbers, or any of a growing number of political scandals, those in what has now become our state-controlled media complex can be counted upon to defend this president against his growing number of accusers. Many of those who refer to themselves as journalists are really little more than Barry "Almighty’s" very own personal cheering section.

And there are any number of examples that this behavior continues and makes it abundantly clear that the Big Three networks have now morphed into what is really nothing more than the official propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. They continue with efforts to provide to not only this president, but to his political party as a whole, all manner of political cover. One primary example is how they have consistently steered well clear of labeling the Islamist group ISIS as being "terrorists" on their evening newscasts. Instead, ABC's World News and CBS Evening News labeled the genocidal radicals "militants." NBC Nightly News used the more benign "rebels" in their coverage of the group's latest attacks on the Kurdish part of Iraq. They make sure that their nightly ‘news’ programs are very well sanitized of anything that might be perceived as being critical of this president.

The closest that any of the supposed journalists over there at ABC, CBS, or NBC has actually come to using the "terrorist" label was Scott Pelley's teaser at the very top of a recent CBS Evening News. In his teaser at the top of the show, Pelley said, "Tonight, back in battle: The President orders U.S. warplanes to attack Sunni Muslim extremists in northern Iraq to stop a campaign of terror. But he makes Americans this promise: I will not allow the United States to be dragged into fighting another war in Iraq." While the networks continue to experience what can only be described as being a steady decline in their number of viewers, they still remain the sole source of information for millions of Americans. And it’s because that they are the only game in town for so many, they have the ability to provide an above average amount of influence. And trust me when I say, theirs is far from a ‘bipartisan’ view of things.
