PLENTY OF IMPEACHMENT TALK GOIN’ AROUND…

While there is no doubt that there is plenty of impeachment talk going around on Capitol Hill these days, the Democrats, as well as their many allies in the state-controlled media would like you to believe that the ones doing most, if not all, of the talking are Republicans. But oddly enough such is not the case. Because it would appear that the ones doing the most of the talking about it are congressional Democrats. You see, it’s those folks who have used the words "impeach" or "impeachment" about 20 times more often than Republicans since the start of the 113th Congress last year.

If one was to conduct a close examination of the Congressional Record one would find that the Democrats brought up impeachment 86 times and in the same span of time that it was referenced only four times by Republicans. And it’s everyone’s favorite moron, Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat, who was the impeachment speech champ, using the words 18 times in two speeches. The Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee recently reaped $2.1 million with a fund-raising email which threatened, "House Republicans Refuse to Rule Out Impeachment."

It was Speaker Boehner who insisted in a recent speech, "We have no plans to impeach the president. This whole talk about impeachment is coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill. Why? Because they're trying to rally their people to give money and to show up in this year's election." And it was also reported that White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer further stirred the impeachment pot by saying, "It would be foolish to discount the possibility" that the House might move to impeach Barry. Right, and the sun might suddenly go out tomorrow.

In all, 19 House Democrats have used the words "impeach" or "impeachment" during floor talk. They included Nancy "Botox Eats Your Brain" Pelosi, Steny ‘The Gasbag" Hoyer, and James "The Tea Party Is A Bunch Of Racists" Clyburn. Over in the Senate, "Dingy Harry" Reid, has brought it up. Professor Jonathan Turley, George Washington University expert on constitutional law, has said, "This is the constitutional equivalent of a Bigfoot sighting. Nobody is seriously suggesting that impeachment is being pursued by the Republicans."

Now there have been some more prominent Republicans outside of Congress who have brought up the topic of a Barry impeachment. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a possible Republican presidential contender, has said "there's no doubt" that Barry "has done plenty of things worthy of impeachment." Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP nominee for vice president, last month called for the president's impeachment. And while it may look good on paper, with the current makeup of Congress, it’s impossible. And Barry, as well as the Democrats, know it.

For those the least bit familiar with history most likely know that the only two U.S. presidents ever to be impeached by the House were Andrew Johnson in 1868 and ‘Slick Willie’ Clinton in 1998, both were Democrats by the way. And both were acquitted in the Senate, where a two-thirds vote is necessary to convict and remove a president from office. The Senate vote on Johnson was just one vote shy of conviction. So while Barry would become the third Democrat to be impeached, despite all the talk about doing so, it’s not something that’s likely to happen.
