CORY BOOKER, WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS ‘FRIENDS’

So in proving once again that the most important ‘qualification’ that blacks continue to look for in choosing a candidate for whom to vote, remains the color of their skin, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who we recently found out doesn’t even live in the city that he’s the mayor of, won a special election Wednesday to represent New Jersey in the Senate. So once again blacks prove that they really have absolutely no interest in improving their lives and that they are really quite content to continue to live off of the rest us. Hey, it’s what they do, it’s what they’re raised to do.

So now Booker, 44, will become the first black senator from the ‘Garden State’ and as such will soon be heading off to Washington to do just what ‘Dingy Harry tells him to. Booker was elected to complete the 15 months remaining on the term of Frank Lautenberg, who finally died this past June at the ripe old age of 89. But if he wants to keep the seat for a full six-year term, and all indications are that he does, Booker will have to be back on the ballot this time next year. And I’m quite sure that, once again, the blacks will come out in force once again to support the black candidate.

But it’s important to note, as well, that Booker also got some help from Gov. Chris Christie. You see, it was Christie, a RINO, who, if you can believe his many supporters in the state-controlled media does have a national following of his own, appointed his attorney general, Jeffrey Chiesa, to the Senate temporarily and then scheduled a special election just 20 days before Christie himself is on the ballot seeking re-election. Christie claimed that he wanted to give voters a say as soon as legally possible. I think we all know, since he possesses an ego even bigger than his waistline, that there was much more to the story that that!

Democrats initially challenged the timing of the election, saying that Christie was afraid of appearing on the same ballot as Booker, and there was probably some truth to that. But the courts upheld the governor's election schedule. Booker did have a running start on the election. Before old Frank finally kicked the bucket, Booker had passed up a chance to run against Christie this year, saying that he was, instead, eyeing old Frank's seat in 2014, in part so he could complete a full term as mayor, something he won't now be doing since he'll soon be heading off to Washington.

You know, it’s pretty telling when you have someone who claims to be on your side, but who does more to help out the opposition than they do their own team. Because I can’t help but wonder, if we had had a bit more time here, might we have been able to actually get a Republican into that seat? But by Christie deciding to make his own political future the priority, he pretty much made sure that that wasn’t going to happen. And by doing so, he decided what was best for the people. And yet, somehow, he’s said to be the front runner among those Republicans mentioned for 2016? No, I just don’t think so.
