Why is it, do you think, that those who cheerfully identify themselves as "liberals", are usually the same ones among us who must always learn things the hard way? Remember, if you can, back when the Democrats were working so hard to convince as many people as they could, to get onboard the Obamacare train. Remember all of the impossible promises that were made, promises Democrats knew were false when they made them, but that they also knew were promises that wouldn’t need to be kept once they were able to get the legislation signed into law. Now there were also many who were working just as hard to sound the alarm by telling everyone there was simply no way that the Democrats could possibly keep all of the promises being made. And remember too, how they pointed out that none of this really had anything to do with lowering healthcare costs, that it was all about putting the government in charge of our healthcare.
So now, fast-forward three short years and many of Barry "Almighty’s" supporters and apologists have now been made to face a rather sad realization. But it isn’t because of bogus economic stimuli, Wall Street bailouts, drones, increased gestapo security measures, NSA or even of several scandals that have been swept into the memory holes of the state-controlled media. Nope. That which now has so many on our side of the aisle saying "I told you so" to so many on the other side, is Barry’s "Affordable Care Act" because of the insurance premium price hikes for those whose private plans are now more expensive than before. Already, there have been reports of tremendous premium hikes from Barry supporters upon enrolling for Obamacare, even though they haven’t had major health issues or medical care. They somehow seem to be so shocked. But we tried to tell them. But they were so sure Barry would never lie to them.
For example:
The San Francisco Bay Area is, as we all know, a liberal strong-hold. But the San Francisco Chronicle came out recently with the headline "Health Insurance Shoppers Suffer Sticker Shock." One example they cited was SF Bay Area resident 47-year-old Shelley Ross, self-employed, who was looking forward to getting a better deal through Obamacare. After registering, she lamented that "every plan is going to cost more than what I pay now, and what I pay now is ridiculous." Another San Francisco resident, 63-year-old John Lonergan lost his reasonably priced Kaiser Permanente plan, because it can’t comply to Obamacare mandates. In order to maintain the same level of coverage with Obamacare that he had with Kaiser, his annual premium cost will increase by over $3,600.
And in nearby San Jose, California, the San Jose Mercury News reported, "Like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills." This paper featured Cindy Vinson’s and Tom Waschura’s sticker shock. Both are Barry "Almighty" supporters. Vinson’s annual premium bill went up $1,800, and Waschura’s annual premium spiked incredibly to $10,000 over what he was accustomed to paying. Cindy Vinson explained that she’s in favor of everyone having coverage, but "[she] didn’t expect to be the one paying for it personally." Waschura told the Mercury News, "I really don’t like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this." So I’d like to ask him, what is it that he doesn’t like about the GOP tactics, exactly?
And still today, Democrats to a person, continue to swear that the American people actually love their new entitlement, and will grow to love it even more once they get used to it. But sadly, that’s all really nothing more than smoke and mirrors. It’s their little way of trying to make the American people think that the efforts now being made by the Republicans to repeal, or to defund or to modify Obamacare in some way, are based on politics, and nothing more. The American people must be made to see that its the motives of, as well as the tactics employed by, the Democrats, in forcing this thing upon them, that must be called into question here. And regardless of their political persuasion they must see the wisdom of allying themselves with the Republicans in the continuing effort to forever remove this albatross from around our collective neck. This debacle already has had a horrendous impact on the lives of too many people. It just needs to go!
