For those of you who just can’t seem to bring yourselves to admit the fact that John Kerry-Heinz is simply not up to the task of being our Secretary of State, his recent rambling about Putin and the recent Russian invasion into the Ukraine should now make that admission much easier. And together with Barry "Almighty", we now have a team of which it can safely be said not only lost the war in Afghanistan but apparently is also now on its way to losing the ‘cold war’. So it is then, that our foreign policy is now being run by ‘Dumber and Dumber-er’. In these two geniuses we have what can very easily be described as 'Ketstone Cop Diplomacy'.
And then it was just yesterday that we heard Kerry-Heinz challenge the notion that Putin went ahead and seized control of Ukraine’s Crimea on the assumption that he was pretty confident that Barry "Almighty’, the supposed leader of the free world, would do absolutely nothing in response. And he was right! Let’s face it, if you were old Vlad Putin, what would you be thinking after having watched our douche-bag of a president for the last five years? To me it would be pretty much of a no-brainer. Kerry-Heinz made the rather idiotic claim that Russia was not operating from "a position of strength." Oh really?
So then we all got to watch, just yesterday, as everyone’s favorite boob, Kerry-Heinz, busily made the rounds in appearing on three Sunday talk shows and for pretty much the same reason that Susan Rice has done in the past. Kerry-Heinz said Russia’s actions were reminiscent of "19th century" behavior, and warned that possible consequences could include G8 isolation of Russia, visa bans and sanctions. He acknowledged that Putin "may be able to have his troops for some period of time in Crimea," but claimed that Russia would ultimately "lose." Now what kind of nutty, fruit loop, logic does this imbecile base that idiotic statement on?
On Meet the Press, host David Gregory recalled how just last Wednesday that Kerry-Heinz had said Putin gave assurances to Barry that he would respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity. "Now you’re talking about Russia annexing the Crimea. Something happened," Gregory continued. "And I wonder, as you hear some criticism from conservatives who say the issue here is that Vladimir Putin is not afraid, that he saw a red line by this administration in Syria and then no follow-up, no action, that he thinks that he can provoke the U.S. and the West and that President Obama won’t do anything in response."
To which Kerry-Heinz responded as pretty much only he can. He said, "Well, he’s finding out the opposite." Then this boob went on to say, "Let me make it clear: President Putin is not operating from a place of strength here. [Ousted Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovich was his supported president. Yanukovich was thrown out, despite Putin’s support. Yanukovich turned on his own people. President Putin is using force in a completely inappropriate manner that will invite the opprobrium of the world, and it already is. He is not going to gain by this." Does this idiotic ever spending any time listening to what comes out of his own mouth?
Kerry-Heinz rambled on saying, "He may be able to have his troops for some period of time in Crimea unless he resolves this, but the fact is he’s going to lose on the international stage." Adding, "Russia is going to lose. The Russian people are going to lose. He’s going to lose all of the glow that came out of the Olympics, his $60 billion extravaganza. He is not going to have a Sochi G8 [summit in June]. He may not even remain in the G8 if this continues. He may find himself with asset freezes on Russian business. American business may pull back. There may be a further tumble of the ruble. There is a huge price to pay." Just more silly threats that mean nothing.
"The United States is united; Russia is isolated," Kerry-Heinz said. "That is not a position of strength." The State Department announced, also just yesterday, that Kerry-Heinz will travel to Kiev on Tuesday, to hold talks with the new government, lawmakers and civil society, and to "reaffirm the United States' strong support for Ukrainian sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and the right of the Ukrainian people to determine their own future, without outside interference or provocation." And just how many of those folks will believe a single word that Kerry-Heinz tells them? And how many are likely to even show up to these talks?
Let’s face it, if John Kerry-Heinz was to perhaps spend a little more time, as secretary of state, tending to the business that he should be, instead of galavanting across the globe talking about such things as gay marriage and global warming, maybe, just maybe, our foreign policy would be less of a disaster. But nope, I think that that’s most likely a bit too much to hope for. We have the blind leading the blind here, so should it really come as a surprise to anyone that as America is slowly be made to lose its relevance, at the same time the world is becoming less and less stable? And things are likely to get very much worse.
