Well it would seem that the dead have collected a tidy sum of money in the form of welfare benefits there in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and most likely have been doing so for quite some time. But Massachusetts governor, and that trusty sidekick of Barry "Almighty", Deval Patrick, says that that just can’t be right. So he’s questioning the accuracy of an audit that found the state paid Millions of dollars in welfare benefits to more than 1,000 dead folks.
Patrick, who of course is a sleazy Democrat, said while it would be "infuriating" for anyone to get benefits who wasn’t entitled, "this audit report is of questionable accuracy." Right, absolutely infuriating! Just who the Hell is he kidding? "We were given only 178 of the cases on which it relies, and nine out of ten of the conclusions were wrong in those cases," Patrick said, according to the Associated Press. This guys really thinks there’s only 178 cases?
The report from state Auditor, Suzanne Bump, which was released Tuesday said Massachusetts paid out $2.4 Million between July 2010 and April 2012 to recipients who were either dead or using a dead person’s Social Security number, that according to the Boston Globe. It also found another $15.6 Million in electronic benefit card transactions that took place as far as Alaska and Hawaii — suggesting the users didn’t live in Massachusetts anymore or had the means to travel.
Patrick, of course, said he wants more information so the state’s welfare agency can correct its records. Still, he added, "It’s quite clear also from the audit that 99.99 percent of the money that the public spends in public benefits goes exactly where it’s supposed to go and to whom it’s exactly supposed to go." I think Patrick is either delusional or, he’s just being your average Democrat and lying. But then, there’s very little difference between the two.
Look, I lived in Massachusetts for a few years when I was in the Navy, and I’ll tell you what, and no offense intended here, but there are more people getting paid under the table, as well as trying to scheme some way to get extra cash, than in any other place I’ve ever been. That’s just a fact. So I have no doubt that these 1000 dead folks are just the tip of a very substantial iceberg. It’s a very blue state and this is how liberals operate, they simply have no conscience.
And what does Patrick care how much money is wasted? He has enough folks who are willing to vote for him, no matter what, for as long as he wants to run. He’s like every other Democrat, make it so enough people either don’t pay taxes, ‘or’ so they get a tidy sum of ‘free’ money from the ‘government’ and you have guaranteed for yourself a voter base that will never desert you out of fear of either being made to pay their ‘fair share’, or of getting kicked off the gravy train.
