AND THE NAACP BECOMES EVEN MORE OF A JOKE...

All of this imbecilic faux outrage over the death of some supposedly innocent little 17 year old is absolutely nauseating. The attempts are still ongoing to convince us that this 'kid' was doing nothing more than walking along minding his own business and was profiled, stalked and then attacked, by George Zimmerman, a White-Hispanic, for no other reason than because he was black. And now we're made to contend with these resulting demonstrations that are really nothing more than a pathetic display of ignorance, and ginned up by the race baiters always on the prowl for ways to 'boost' their image.

And now a couple of lefty groups, the NAACP and MoveOn.org, unhappy with the verdict have teamed up and are busy circulating some sort of cockamamie petition. And when you stop and think about it, is really rather ironic, since both of these groups are, oddly enough, pro-abortion. Ironic because this stupid little petition invokes what is being referred to as the "right to life" as it calls on the U.S. Justice Department to take action against George Zimmerman, acquitted of a murder charge over the death of Trayvon Martin. It would seem that the definition of "right to life" is somewhat fluid.

Anyway, as stated in this petition, "The most fundamental of civil rights, the right to life, was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin," claims this petition. Stalked? It goes on to say, "We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation." It's claimed that more than 250,000 people, real and/or imagined, had signed their stupid little petition by Monday afternoon. But as we know whenever dealing with those on the left, there is always a tendency to exaggerate the level of support for any of their causes.

Now while I will admit that the NAACP does not take a formal position for or against abortion, it did, in May, join a lawsuit against the state of Arizona, which enacted a ban on race and gender-based abortions. The NAACP is also reportedly suing Ryan Bomberger, an African-American and chief of The Radiance Foundation, a pro-life group. Bomberger has been critical of the NAACP, founded as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Bomberger parodied the group with billboards that said the "National Association for the Abortion of Colored People."

So hypocrisy can be said to abound here and is made all the more obvious by NAACP president, and head bigot, Ben Jealous, saying in an e-mail to MoveOn.org head John Neumann sent at 1:43 a.m. Sunday that the NAACP would be 'joining forces' with MoveOn.org in requesting that the Justice Department take civil rights legal action against Zimmermann, 29, for shooting and killing Martin. Zimmermann said he acted in self-defense. And whether these clowns like it or not, a jury of his peers came to the same conclusion that that was the case. That's the way our justice system works.

The petition also says, "The Department of Justice has closely monitored the State of Florida’s prosecution of the case against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder since it began. Today, with the acquittal of George Zimmerman, it is time for the Department of Justice to act. The most fundamental of civil rights—the right to life—was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin." The petition continues, "We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation."

I am curious, though, to know the position of this organization, which claims to stand for the right to life, when it comes to the "right to life" of the many blacks who die everyday at the hands of their fellow blacks. Are not their lives just as important as that of Martin's. And yet, where's the outrage there? Or is that because the many black who die everyday essentially die at the hands of Democrats. Because, after all, it's Democrats who are in charge of our dilapidated cities where most of these deaths occur, is it not? So that's sufficient for the death of one thug to become more important than all the rest?
