INTRODUCING THE ‘NEW’ N-WORD…
With us now having the I-word, the R-word and the C-word, I’m having a difficult time keeping up. And now we’ve had a new one added to the list, the N-word which stands for "nativist", not to be confused with the old N-words which stands for…never mind, I think we all know that one. This new N-word was officially entered into the immigration debate by none other than Rep. Linda Sanchez, who is of course a Democrat and from, where else but, California . Not only that, but the esteemed Ms. Sanchez is also member of the rabidly anti-American little group that calls itself the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Ms. Sanchez recently appeared on that faux ‘news’ network, MSNBC, and while there was heard to tell dingbat Andrea Mitchell, "As the United States, as a world leader, we are very good about telling other countries that they must accept refugees from Syria or Ethiopia or Darfur, but when it comes to a humanitarian crisis on our own border -- involving children, no less -- you hear this nativist, isolationist voices saying that, oh, just ship them all back, send them all back." This genius went on to say, "And what's clear is that each one of these cases needs to be evaluated. They need to have due process."
Apparently we must now bend over backwards in our effort to ensure that Central American children get reunited with their parents who are in the United States illegally. Ms. Sanchez insisted: "I might add that a big problem with why these children are coming too is because their parents have been here. And if we were able to pass comprehensive immigration reform -- something that a majority of Americans, regardless of political party, believe in -- that many of these children would qualify to be reunited with their parents, and their parents could come out of the shadows and get on a pathway toward citizenship."
And Ms. Sanchez made sure she had time to criticize Republicans for they’re objecting to Barry "Almighty's" $3.7 Billion request to address the illegal immigration crisis on the border. Some of the money would be used to hire more immigration lawyers and ‘judges’. This moron said, "[C]hoking the funding to allow that process to go forward isn't going to expedite the removal of anybody." And she went on to say, "We need to fund the president's request to try to help process these children, find out who does qualify for refugee status or asylum and try to connect these children with their parents."
She said the current ‘crisis’ has been "bubbling up for a long time." And now Republicans are "screaming with their hands up and their hair on fire that something needs to be done, while they continue to sit on their hands and do nothing. And it's unconscionable." Sanchez made the claim that the only way to stop the flow of illegal aliens is for the United States to help stabilize the Central American countries from which the children are coming. Actually what we should do is to stop all aid to those countries that are now busily herding these ‘children’, north.
Look, I’ve always thought the solution to our illegal immigration problem was a relatively simply one. First we prosecute to the fullest extent of existing law anyone who knowingly hires anyone in this country illegally. If these people can’t find jobs, many will leave. Second, we work on securing the border starting with the trouble spots first and working out from there. And I read somewhere that for $8 Million we could fly all of these ‘children’ back to where they came from. Now while that amount may be higher now, it is something that we need to start doing, and the sooner the better.
Those in this country illegally simply DO NOT deserve to be here since they seem to care very little about the fact that they are breaking our laws. Now I realize that we are not going to be able to deport all 11-20 Million of those here illegally, but we can certainly encourage them to leave by making things far more difficult for them to remain here. And what that means is no drivers’ licenses, no in-state tuition and no government benefits of any kind. And we need to enforce Section 1 of the 14th Amendment at it was intended. This is not rocket science, it’s apparently nothing more than politics!
