OBAMA & CO…JUST A PACK OF LIARS???

YOUR FEDERAL RESERVE CHAIRMAN
So as Barry continues on his merry way, doing his best to "fundamentally transform" this once great nation, some recently released information by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) would seem to indicate that he has actually been, and continues to be, pretty darn successful. Because it’s that data that shows reveals to us that since Barry "Almighty" first took office back in January 2009, the overall number of people unemployed in the United States has fallen 21.4% but the number counted as long-term unemployed has actually increased by 14.2%. In January 2009, there were 2,699,000 long-term unemployed Americans. Today, five-and-a-half years later, there are 3,081,000 long-term unemployed Americans.

Evidence would also seem to indicate that our Federal Reserve Chairman, Janet Yellen, is a bit detached from reality. Because in testifying before the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee on Tuesday this loon said, "My expectation is that as the national unemployment rates comes down, and if the pace of job creation stays where it is or even rises, I expect to see improvements on all fronts." She added, "And, in fact, long-term unemployment has declined and the evidence that I’ve seen--although perhaps not utterly definitive--suggests that the long-term, the decline in long-term unemployment does on balance reflect those who’ve experienced long spells, getting jobs, and moving into employment and not simply becoming so discouraged that they move out of the labor force."

Now the BLS defines the "long-term unemployed" as those who are jobless for 27 weeks or more. According to the BLS, there were 3,081,000 Americans in the month of June who were unemployed for 27 weeks or more. This number is up 14.2% from the 2,699,000 long-term unemployed Americans in January 2009. While Yellen may be technically correct when she makes the claim that long-term unemployment has declined, this simply more manipulation of the numbers as it takes into account only a few years-worth of data. In Barry’s first year in office, from January 2009 to December 2009, the number of long-term unemployed Americans increased from 2,699,000 to 6,122,000, a rise of 126.8%.

Since then, the number of long-term unemployed has decreased from 6,122,000 in December 2009 to 3,081,000 in June 2014, a decrease of 49.7%. However, since Barry took office until now in June 2014, the raw number of long-term unemployed Americans has actually increased 14.2%. In her testimony, Yellen did her best to tout what she described as being ‘improvements’ in the economy, saying, "the economy is continuing to make progress toward the Federal Reserve’s objectives of maximum employment and price stability. In the labor market, gains in total nonfarm payroll employment averaged about 230,000 per month over the first half of this year, a somewhat stronger pace than in 2013, and enough to bring the total increase in jobs during the ‘economic recovery’ thus far to more than 9 million." Pure bullshit!

Yellen perpetuates the myth, saying, "The unemployment rate has fallen nearly 1.5 percentage points over the past year and stood at 6.1 percent in June. " And then she goes on to add that that’s "down about four percentage points from its peak; measures of labor utilization have also registered notable improvements over the past year." But let’s be real here, the ONLY reason that our unemployment rate has ‘appeared’ to go down has much more to do with the manipulation of the numbers than it has with people finding jobs. Because despite what our illustrious Fed Chairman would have us all believe, the fact is people ARE simply deciding to leave the workforce and to the tune of over 10 Million workers just since Barry first stepped into the Oval Office.

The bottom line here is that I’m not sure whether those who comprise Barry & Co. are merely looking through rose colored glasses, if they’re in some sort of denial, or if they’re purposely lying to us about what many of us are able recognize as going on right in front of us. But what I am quite sure of is that this country is not going to last for very much longer if we remain on the course that they have put us on. There seems to be very little resemblance between what we know is going on and what people like this boob Yellen wants us all to believe is going on. As I have said before, it’s like I’m stuck in some sort of weird ‘Twilight Zone’. And it’s scary that so many people choose to remain so oblivious.
